Christmas Countdown - 2017

Morning MMC! It's a beautiful sunny September-like morning here. Thankfully it's not September yet cause there's a lot to do before that time gets here. But the sun will give way to clouds this afternoon and then we will see a chance of showers. And that pattern will continue the next several days with cooler temperatures once again. We are going to my Uncle's for dinner this evening and some fun. Hope you all have a great Sunday!!!

Weird! But it sounds like you've figured out how to make it work for you.

We have an A C Moore in town, but I usually wind up at Jo-Ann because it's closer and there's less traffic. I just got a big bunch of yarn there today to finish some unfinished projects, start some new ones, and make some winter hats for charity.

Our Jo-Ann went out of business here. Takes me 1 hour to get to a Michaels and about the same time to get to a Hobby Lobby.

Days to Christmas Day: 204

The 200-day Christmas Day Window. It's only FOUR days away, now. That's barely over HALF A WEEK off!
Then, the very next day, we begin count numbers that BOTH start with that magical #1.
(Wow, Guys. We got here so soon!)


Still the nice weather. Clear, dry, warm but not humid, and calm.
Doesn't get much better than that here for early June. Usually by now we have had a few oppressively humid days. Not so far this year.
(So let the good times roll just as long as Mother Nature wants to roll them!)
We are currently at 69 sunny degrees here in our part of MMC Land.

I hope everyone had a great weekend. The weather was nice here and we had the town Strawberry festival. We also finally got our garden planted! Peppers, green beans, zucchini, pie pumpkins, carrots, lettuce, herbs and lots of flowers!

Morning MMC! Hope you are all well. It's a new week! Yes I actually look forward to going to work on Mondays (go ahead Holiday I know you will comment on that haha). But it's going to be a good week I hope. Next Monday is my birthday and I'm taking it off for a 3 day weekend. Not really big into birthdays anymore as nobody likes getting older but it always gives you something to look forward to during a long work week knowing you have a 3 day weekend ahead. Just going to go out to brunch that day and probably have a cake. Hope you all have a great Monday! Looks like the heat "finally" kicks in next week so time to put the a.c. up this weekend!

Good Monday morning! Rain for the next couple of days and then sunshine and warm temperatures are predicted for the rest of the week. Working the afternoon/evening shift today, so I'm getting some laundry done this morning and am preparing tonight's supper. I'm looking forward a day off tomorrow, after a busy weekend at the store. In fact, there is LESS THAN HALF A WEEK left before we arrive at our next Milestone marker, the 200-day Christmas Day Window.
Then, of course, it's 100's for less than two months. At that point, DOUBLE DIGITS to the Season begins!

We had a bit of rain yesterday evening accompanied by the distant rumble of thunder and were briefly under a severe weather warning. As usual, nothing of any significance happened.
Today and tomorrow should see more rain and we have started off under overcast skies at 73 degrees here in the capital city.

**** TRAVEL ALERT ****

I have one last quick visit to make to the cottage to complete final preparations for our first renters who are set to arrive on June 11.
As such, a volunteer is needed for Thursday morning and quite possibly for Friday morning as well.
Anyone interested in being a guest counter for a couple of days?
(The lucky person will have the honor of seeing us to the 200-day Christmas Day mark on Thursday!)

Good morning MMC!! "Merry Monday!" I hope everyone had a great weekend & your week is off to a good start! We had such a nice weekend at the lake. It was so relaxing to not have a wedding, graduation, 1st communion....or anywhere we had to be!!!! Our lake neighbor friends all took today off work so I'm a little jealous of them right now, but I'll be off on Wednesday to stay with Mom so I keep reminding myself of that!

My Gracie girl got sick overnight but it looked like she ate something green & leafy...hoping that's all it was & she's good to go now! xx Other than that, not much new going on to report!

[Holiday]

I just put in for my Christmas time off...12/26-1/1..I will come back on the 2nd. Made me all excited thinking about it!!

It's early but I saw a couple of people had already put in theirs so I figured I would do it sooner than later.

It is almost time for me to do that. We can't put down for the next year until this fiscal year closes. That might be the only reason I go in on July 3rd, though.

That is so exciting!!! I put my name on the calendar to be off between the holidays the day the new 2017 calendar went up!! It falls so nice this year, only needing to take 3 days of vaca to be off from Dec. 23 until Jan 3rd!
