Happy Pines Day MMC! It's really, really humid out this morning. But it is summer right? I still will take this over the freezing cold. It feels like summer is just going by like a train. I'm trying to really enjoy each day of it. Anyone else watching any Christmas shows on Hallmark or other this month of July? Hope you all have a great mid-week and see you at the Pines later!

Merry Pines Day!
It's going to be cloudy and warm today with a high of 85 degrees. I have a couple of quick errands to run this morning, back home afterward to work on my daily chores. I have a doctor appointment later this afternoon. Then I plan on grilling chicken and baby back ribs for dinner. That's about it for me. Hope everyone is well and has a nice day!

Days to Christmas Day: 166
And just how close are we, exactly?
Is TWO days close enough for you?
Well, whether it is or isn't, that's how far we are away now from the 2/3 marker to the Season!
(Don't you just love those ** MILESTONE DAY ** banners?)
The weather? Summery, indeed. Very warm, with almost enough humidity to take and air bath.
There's no relief in sight for the immediate future, and the next couple of days are predicted to be even worse than yesterday was.
Already this morning, we are at 80 degrees and should be moving right on up into the 90's, presently.
But say, now!
What better way to beat the heat than at the Shispering Pines pool?
Take a quick dip, then relax poolside with a fired twinkie and a tall one of cold sweet southern iced tea, served by one of Carl's courteous hand-picked staff.
(Sounds so good, I just might leave for the 'Pines right now!)

Good Wednesday morning and Happy Pines Day, Christmas friends!
I didn't do much yesterday afternoon, but with my brother's wedding coming this weekend, I'm thinking that was my last easy evening this week. Originally, it was just going to be immediate family at the service, and would go off for the weekend. They've been together for 15 years, and she's pregnant, so there's no real reason for an extravagant wedding & honeymoon. Well now, it's a large ceremony and a huge reception with food, a band, and a large tent with a dance floor.
Oh well. I hope y'all have a great day!

Good morning MMC! Merry Pines Day! It's supposed to be a scorcher today! A good day to stay inside & watch CIJ! Might have to dig into the DVR! I didn't get to watch much CIJ last night - it was too nice outside. I couldn't make myself stay in. I ended up on moms deck with Mom, Emma, my sis & them my SIL walked over. Such a nice night!
Gracie's vet appointment went - just ok! We are normally in & out of there, but they were running about a half hour late to start with. Then the vet tech had to draw her blood twice b/c she didn't get enough the 1st time. She put a little bandage around her paw incase it would bleed - you should have seen Gracie. It was pathetic - she had her head down & her paw up - you would have thought she had a broken leg. We had to laugh! The vet was concerned about her weight loss/lack of interest in her food. She sent home some canned dog food to mix with her regular dog food to try to get her to eat more. Worked like a charm last night - fingers crossed. xx Then they almost forgot to take her urine sample. I had to remind them. The vet said "I thought I felt a full bladder" - Poor Grace! So now we wait for results.
Praying she doesn't have an infection again.
Not much going on today - just work...and I'm pretty happy to be inside, even though I need a sweat shirt in here!!!

I agree - I'll take this over freezing cold too. We can pop Christmas on the tv & turn up the a/c if we need a cool off! I'm watching all the CIJ on tv I can!! Different World is a Christmas special, coming on in 15 minutes. I'm not really a "Different World" fan, but I am a Christmas fan so I'll watch!
