Good Morning, Everybody!

Rise, shine and behold a brand new set of count numbers, not to mention a brand new update on our next Milestone marker, rapidly approaching.

First, the numbers:
Days to the Season: 117
Days to Christmas Day: 159

Next, the marker update:
Our next pending Milestone is the 100-DAY SEASON WINDOW, and it's now only 17 days ahead. That's UNDER 2 1/2 WEEKS away!
(Can you believe we are so close now to our first DOUBLE-DIGIT count figure?)


Not too bad here yesterday, weather wise. The temps and humidity were down a bit. Not exactly comfortable until evening but still better than one would normally expect for our part of the country here in July.
Right now, we are beginning this mid week day at 72 degrees and it 's supposed to be a warm one.


Well, as usual Wednesday can mean only one thing. Open house at the 'Pines!
Carl's summer theme activities are well under way and you can count on most of this evening's entertaiment being pool side.
Don't forget your first complimentary fired twinkie and tall glass of sweet southern iced tea.

I avoided cooking last night too - due to the fact our AC wasn't working!! I did make some hard boiled eggs, but that was the extent of it. LOL I'll be hanging clothes on the line today too - not running the dryer just incase the AC peeps can't make it today. I'm sure they are bombarded with calls!

LOL, that would be lot better then how the night was. we have odd network issue here and there last night at work. It took a while to troubleshoot the issue since it was very sporadic and people would experience different issues. so no one had the same issues at all. Then when i got home around 130 am had to work on the washer machine since it was messed and wife needed her nurse scrubs cleaned.

I always try to get my yard work done in the morning this time of year. It's the opposite in the winter!

Good morning...happy Pines Day!! Another hot and humid day today and I think it will be like this the rest of the week. Luckily our AC is working. Just work for me today and I need to catch up on laundry tonight. Hope you all have a great day!

Good morning MMC! Merry Pines Day!! And it's going to be a cooker! AND our AC went out at home!

The A/C peeps are supposed to be coming today! It was helping a little with the humidity, but the air was set at 71 & it was 79 in our house last night! Poor Gracie. She went in the basement. Thankfully we have a separate AC unit in our bedroom upstairs so we could sleep comfortably!

The vet left a message on our machine last night to give her a call this morning about Gracie's results, so I'll be calling there shortly. Makes me so nervous!

Have you heard from the vet yet? I hope the news is good for Gracie. Sending hugs to both of you.

Yes, I called the vet this morning. Not good news! Gracie is basically in kidney failure. There is nothing they can really recommend except keeping her on the meds she's already on. I can up her dose of fish oil - which I have already done b/c we couldn't find the low dose the last time - I need to get some Aluminum Hydroxide to mix in with her food to help keep her phosphate levels down so she stays interested in eating. She said keeping her eating good protein & to keep her from losing weight is very important. All of her numbers didn't look good. My poor girl! She was dealt a bad hand! Our vet said she is going to do more research to make sure there is not something she is missing. I'll be doing some more research myself. Darnit!!! I'm so sad!

Some of them are only Photoshopped, thank goodness!
The ickiest I've seen in real life so far are Pumpkin Spice Circus Peanuts (those chewy marshmallowy peanut-shaped candies). Regular Circus Peanuts are just plain icky to begin with!
