Another bright summer day at the office ... oh, well! I do like my job, but I wish today were a vacation day!

Listened to another Christmas CD in the car this morning, and it gave me a couple DJ ideas that I quickly jotted down when I got to my desk. Nothing gets me in the mood for the holidays quicker than Christmas music!

I understand what you mean on both counts! A vacation day & Christmas music! That would be a great day!!!

Good Morning, MMC!! It's going to be another hot and muggy day here in central Indy. At least a cool down is coming for the weekend. Even though the temperatures keep inching up every time a new forecast comes out. Nothing much going on here. Just have a few errands to run today. One of the deputy chiefs in our police department was killed in a car wreck and his funeral is this afternoon. So that will shut down a large part of the city. We also had an officer shot and killed on the same day. His funeral is Saturday. So that will shut everything down again. I hope everyone has a great day!!

Gosh so much tragedy for your police department. I did hear about the officer shot & killed. How awful!

Welcome, August!

The 'Bers are so close, friends. Hello. It's been a while again, hasn't it? My July was absolutely crazy. I had three weeks of summer school. It finally ended last Thursday. Let's just say that teaching the same students from 8:30am until 3:35pm with a couple 15 minute break and 45 minute lunch period can be exhausting. Lucky for me, however, my students were amazing! We managed to fit pretty much all of the Grade 11 University level English curriculum into their time in my class and had fun while doing it.

I've certainly been enjoying the fact that I have had nothing to worry about since Friday. Relaxing is nice. With that said, I had to do a few wedding related things today. Even so, it's much less stressful than planning and marking and everything else I'd been doing since the beginning of July!

I don't want to talk for too long, so I'll just leave it there. I'm excited to return and countdown with everyone. Our time of the year is so close!

Good to hear from you Brent. Hopefully as the season approaches you will find more time. I know I have my periods of absence as well, but that usually arises due to a lot of yard work and landscaping. Have fun and enjoy August...

Just overnight, pumpkins have appeared in the store. It's amazing the difference a day makes. Fall is SO CLOSE. I am thrilled. Hope everyone has a great day!!

Good morning to all the MMC community. This morning will be on the short side. I kind of over did it yesterday morning and didn't hit the sack till after 2PM. That made for a very short sleep before work. I may not stop in until late tomorrow night as well. I will be volunteering at the Zoo on Thursday from 1-7PM and so after tonight's shift, I will go to bed right away so I can rack up a few hours. I did take Thursday night off, so I won't be over tired by the evening. Not much else going on, getting the yard in shape a little at a time and should be done by the end of this month.
Have fun all and I'll check in with everyone when I can...

We've had a plant visit from a VP, and it's taken most of the day. On the plus side, he and I talked about me advancing in the company, so we'll see what happens!

The warm weather has returned, but we knew it would. The last few days just got us primed for Fall. I'm ready!

Thanks, CGY! I think I will also have time from now on. It's amazing how busy our lives can be. For me, even without kids or anything, I find myself without much downtime. August should be my favourite month of the year thus far.

Morning MMC! My bro's bday is today so I hope he has a good one. Other than that, just a warm and humid day. We had a bunch of rain yesterday but I somehow got to take Rollins to the park after dinner. We've been going pretty much every day now after work. Definitely going to get a harness this weekend. Other than that, next week I'll be off Thursday and Friday so a little summer vacation to look forward to this time next week. For now, another day at work as we crawl through August. Have a great day!

Going to be a hot day again with the occasional showers to help make it more steamy.
Doctor has put me off work for 2 more weeks
On the bright side it gives me some extra time to get canning done !

my brother found some cauliflower on sale but thinks it looks strange so did not buy it...
