********** MILESTONE DAY **********

Good Morning, Folks!

Guess what?
(Well, actually the banner above told you.)
Yep. It's another one of those Milestone days!
Which one? Read on.

But first, as always, we present the day's count information:
Days to the Season: 58
Days to Christmas Day: 100

And even the least discerning among us can easily tell from our second number that we have arrived at the one and only ONE HUNDRED DAY CHRISTMAS DAY WINDOW, which in turn means that tomorrow, we begin a binary double-digit count to our dual goals.
(Things are really starting to pick up now, Folks!)

Still on the warm side, but really not bad at all for mid September, which is technically still summer.
Another hurricane is meandering about off our coast but the best track prediction shows it passing by relatively harmlessly out to sea by the end of the weekend.
Behind it? Two more storms. Too early to tell yet where they will go.
For now, we greet this mid-September weekend at 68 degrees here in the capital city.

Have a Sensational Saturday, Everybody, and a Magnificently Merry Milestone Day!
Enjoy your weekend.

Wooot Woot its a great day indeed

We've made it, indeed, Crown. Only 100 days until the Most Wonderful Day of the Year! I was startled last night in my dream, however. I had a similar dream to which I have had in the past... I missed Christmas! Somehow, I awoke and then I missed everything. I thought to myself, "Oh well, there's always next year..." Then, I thought, "No, there will never be another 2017 Christmas Season... I can't miss it." Luckily, I awoke and the countdown is just closing in on the Season. Phew!

Good morning MMC !!

been a busy few days here, it will be nice to stay home today.
Got approval to return to work but am very limited for now. Only 4 hours a day , 2 days a week. But it is a start.

DoYouHearWhatIHear, I hear you are getting married, so exciting !! Congratulations, I wish I lived close enough to do your cake.

Morning ... Happy 100 Day this the day of the year! This surge of heat and humidity finally got the best of us and we had to turn the air back on last night however I am hoping this will be short lived. Maybe tonight to celebrate the 100 day mark I will pop in a Christmas Movie .. well off to the grocery store. Have a great day!

Had a similar dream last February that it was suddenly Christmas Eve and I freaked out nothing was done or ready.

Thank you Crown...happy Milestone Day!

Happy Saturday and Milestone Day! Pretty cloudy day today and my daughter has her softball game today. I pulled out some of my fall stuff and I ordered some new lighted garland for my mantle. I have been watching Jose too and hope that it goes out to sea! Hope you all have a great day!

I just ordered a few more boxes of Kurt Adler poinsetta garland. The seller on Amazon had run out this spring and she emailed it was back in stock. I have a few spare boxes now.."in case"..lol

Horrible dream indeed, Brent!
I have that dream once or twice a year. Usually in the dream it's only a few days to Christmas and I'm completely unprepared. (Weird and frightening feeling!) My other two "unprepared" dreams are (1) my old high-school drama director drops me into a play at the last minute, in a role I haven't learned or rehearsed, and (2) I'm unprepared for high school or college exams, to the point that I don't even know where one of my classes meets because I've somehow missed so many of them. Funny, but when I have those dreams, I actually think in my dream, "Oh, here's that dream again ... only it's real this time ..."

Hope everyone's weekend is going well! I'm glad the weekend's here---i really need the break.

It's been SO darn muggy here the past few days. I don't mind warm weather, but too much humidity for too many days wears me out. We're in the same boat as Edge, wondering if Hurricane Jose is going to mosey this way next week after it's through wandering in circles in the Atlantic. I'm also wondering if the next workweek is going to be as busy and hectic as this one was. Seemed like nearly everything was a rush, and I had one 11.5-hour day. I keep a can of hearty soup at the office for evenings like that, just so I can get something decent to eat. Can't proofread well with a growling stomach!

Best of luck on your 7 miles tomorrow. The half requires a lot of dedication! I am interested in doing it, I just don't have the time to train properly.

Thank you on the wishes. It's pretty crazy how it's barely over a week away!

Ran a strong 7!! Loving the runners high at the moment. It takes less time than you think and I have a great training plan and group I run with, which makes all the difference. 7 days for you now, too! Lucky 7s!!

CS I wish you could have done my cake!! I'm celebrating 3 years married to my wonderful husband next month-just celebrating with brent in his upcoming wedding a week from today! :) You are a wonderful friend to us all!!

Happy 100 all! Enjoying some football this afternoon after a refreshing (sort of haha) 7 miler this morning! Running can be tough in the midst but boy do you feel GREAT after! About to head to a memorial service, and I work all day tomorrow, but I plan to enjoy tonight with a mulled cider candle, a good book, and time with my husband. I'll take rest when I can get it these days!

I'm so joyful this time of year even in the busy-ness of it all. Running to train for the half in November, football on weekends, leaves just hinting at changing, and truly the last warmth of summer coming our way--we can count in weeks now before we take the AC units out rather than months. It's a gorgeous time of year and I am relishing the anticipation of all the fun the next three plus months will bring our way! Glad to be here with each of you!
