Good Morning and YAY for double digit countdowns!!! Yesterday I picked up a few small Christmas gifts for my little guy, love when you can find things on his wish list in the clearance section. Today I will be busy making and canning apple butter. Some will be used as Christmas Gifts and well the rest for us Also going to make and can more apple pie filling and applesauce. Once those are done my canning will be done for the year. Well better get off of here and get busy. Have a great day!

YAY MINTA!!! Apple Butter sounds DELICIOUS! Apple everything! We will be going apple picking next week and I can't wait! Have a great night!

Glorious day, yesterday. Hobby Lobby and pizza, just like we planned. Then....

Both little ones woke up about 3:00 a.m. terribly sick. Their Mom followed about an hour later....

I've got a fever and I'm fighting, so say a prayer or two for us....

Glad yesterday was good, but gosh I hope you feel better soon! Hard for everyone to be sick at once. Something is going around here. Hang in there and get well!

As I sit here this afternoon, i think a lot about jogging pants, chili, football, and chilly fall days. Almost there....

ME TOO Ballcoach!! Not long at all now. The weather will change before we even know it. I'm really ready for sweatshirts, chili in the crockpot and lazy Sunday afternoons when I'm not working!

Good Morning, Day-After Friends.

Yep. In case you were away or just not paying attention yesterday, we passed a major Milestone marker, the 100-day Christmas Day Window.

Which, of course, leads into this:
Days to the Season: 57
Days to Christmas Day: 99

And let me tell you, seeing that "99", and realizing that now BOTH of our counts consist of double digits, is as exciting as reaching the 100-day point. Perhaps even more so!
(Now, things will really start to move quickly, Folks!)


Still warm but not uncomfortable, thanks to the lower humidity.
We had lots of sun yesterday and are predicted to get plenty more today, with highs in the 80's.
Right now, it is 70 degrees under calm, sunny skies here in the central part of North Carolina.

Can the Panthers win against Buffalo this afternoon? We will start to find out at 1:00 PM!

Good Monday Morning to the MMC community. Been away for a few days, a few very busy days, but sometimes being busy does have it's own advantages. Today is my second day off and will spend some time in the yard and hopefully a little bit of time in the garage (it really needs the time).
Other than that and a few minor errands, not too much. It will be another nice BBQ night, but a simple one with burgers, dogs and brats. Also making some fresh bread, potato salad and pasta salad. That should be enough for the day.
Down into the two-digit midget time frame for everything now (except Fall which is only 3 days away). I absolutely love it!!! I have decided to add another little item for the yard this Halloween...

It should go well with the other "Kid Friendly" yard items. For the next couple of hours, it is time for coffee, breakfast and some Bible study.

Morning MMC! Today we expect a high of 74 under cloudy skies and the chance of a shower. Looks like this week will feel more like summer than Autumn as next weekend they are predicting highs in the low 80s and sunshine. Anyway, that's far off right now as it's Monday...and of course Rollins didn't want to get up this morning but on the weekend when we can sleep a little longer he's up and wants to get going. Funny how that works. Hope everyone has a great Monday today! Last one of summer!

(Imagine that now. In just one short week, we will enter the FINAL quarter of our journey back to Christmas!)


We had another warm one yesterday but it was not uncomfortable.
(Mother nature is being relatively kind to us in the waning days of summer.)
Today should be clear and sunny and it has started off that way, at 70 degrees here in the heart of Panther country.

I remember on Dec 26 you posting 364 days till Christmas Gunny...and look at us now only 99 days to go. It's unreal.

When we went into DG yesterday it literally looked like a bomb went off..lol they had carts and boxes everywhere. Fall deco was being clearanced, Halloween was getting put up and Christmas was being put out. The girl said she was dealing with 4 seperate seasonal products at once. Anywho!!..She had a T shirt on that said "365 Days Till Christmas" with a Grinch as the background.

Good Morning MMC...happy Monday and we into double digits!! Looks like today should be a good day but we are under a Tropical Storm Watch, looks like we will have remnants of Hurricane Jose from Tuesday into Wednesday. As long as we don't lose power I will be fine with it. Today is work for me, my daughter has a soccer game so I will go to that and then my husband and I have to go to a wake tonight for a friend's mom that passed away from pancreatic cancer. Hope you all have a great start to the week!

Happy Monday!
It's going to be mostly cloudy today with a high if 74 degrees. A tropical storm watch has been issued for Long Island. Jose is expected to pass by Tuesday in to Wednesday, hopefully it won't make landfall. Not too much going on here today. I have a chiropractor appointment in a little while. I'm going to run to Michael's afterward. I bought Fall leaves garlands to put around my front door yesterday and I was a little bit short so I need to grab another. I'm going to pick up a couple of mums as well and then I'll be finished decorating the front of the house. I need to get dinner in to the crock pot right now, I'm making the Pioneer Woman's Chicken Tortilla Soup
