Good evening everyone. Wow, things have been busy! I am hoping to make more time to stop in and say hi. I hope everyone is doing well.
The weather took a strange turn and after being nice and cool for a while, it is been near 90 the last couple of days and will continue into the weekend. Then next week, back to the upper 60s.

We put up the Halloween decorations last weekend.

Morning MMC! Today we expect a mixture of sun and clouds with a high of 78. How's everyone's week been so far? Well we've got 1 more to go to get to the weekend. Should be a good weekend I hope. I am going to the mall Saturday and might go hiking Sunday. Other than that trying to relax and enjoy. Happy Autumn and TGIF! Doesn't feel like Autumn as it's going to be very warm this weekend into next week as well. Have a great 1st day of Autumn!

Days to the Season: 52
Days to Christmas Day: 94

And the major Milestone?
Well by now, you must be aware that it is the THREE QUARTERS point to Christmas Day and that said marker will arrive in just THREE days.
That's less than HALF a week away!
(This is getting scary, Folks.)


Well, we had a brief storm yesterday afternoon to break the monotonous weather pattern. (And we can use the moisture.)
Today should be dry though, and it has dawned here in the capital city at 66 degrees.

Happy Fall Y'All!! So glad it is Friday!! We don't have too much planned for the weekend. My youngest daughter is going to a sleepover tonight and then headed to Six Flags tomorrow for Fright Frest! I think on Sunday we are going to go to the beach, I am sure the last time for the season. I am also determined to get my outside decorated for fall. I need to get my mums and put out my scarecrow.

Have a great weekend. Have fun decorating & have fun at the beach! Kinda "funny" to be decorating for Fall & going to the beach all in the same weekend!

TGIF, Christmas friends!

We spent the evening going to Walmart, getting Elizabeth's Homecoming dress altered, and feeding Jacob (that sounds like feeding cattle...it ain't much different). Lots of stuff to do, and a short time to do it.

I'm going up on the roof in the morning with the chainsaw. I'm no Paul Bunyan, but I think I can knock it out pretty easily.

For the first day of fall, Google has a cute animated "doodle" of a mouse coming in from the cold to sip a cup of tea!

I checked it out! I'm not a fan of a mouse in my house, but that is cute!!!

Jose is stalled offshore, so we're chilly, dark, and windy here. It fits the first day of fall, though.
Started the day at the dentist. I need a crown ... ugh.
Everyone here at the office is hoping for a less hectic day today than the rest of the week has been, but from the level of activity, I think we're going to be busy right up to the weekend, and some of us INTO the weekend. I have my fingers crossed that I won't have to work, so I can get recharged for the next crazy week.

I'll be hoping you don't have to work over the weekend & you can enjoy a nice relaxing weekend!!!

Years ago a descendant of Virginia was on the Antiques Roadshow with the original letter Virginia sent to the editor. I don't remember if they actually put a value on it. I DO remember that the appraiser (rightly) called it a national treasure. Wouldn't it be a thrill to hold that letter in your hands?

We've got some HOT weather coming, eh??? Whew!!

You don't even want to get me started on the move. Even though I said I wasn't going back out, I've ended up there every day. Her boyfriend who has been off of work all week has hooked up his computer and the tv. That's it. Stands around yelling the rest of the time for the kids to put stuff away. I made some comments Wednesday night to him and was ready to deck him by the end of last night.

It's crazy how hot it is. My ac has been running for days when I should be able to open the windows.
