Christmas Countdown - 2017

Good Tuesday morning! Still Summer here, it's only 7 am but with the humidex it's already 30°C/86°F and they say it will go up to 39°C/102°F this afternoon. By Thursday this heat wave should break. I do enjoy the sun quite a lot though, 2 glorious weeks of sunshine, but this humidity is tough. I have the day off and have to run some errands. I'm currently doing some laundry to hang outside. At work yesterday during our morning huddle, I proudly announced an important news to the employees: that we were 3 months away from Christmas. Made them laugh and smile with my love of Christmas. Hope everyone will enjoy a great day!

Now for our next Milestone marker.

On October 7, just ELEVEN days from this date, we will reach the NINETY PERCENT mark to Christmas Season 2017 and enter the always-exciting HOME STRETCH to the Season.
This final run-up to the Season is always looked forward to, and it culminates on the evening of November 12 when we count down the final hours here in real time.
(It's truly don't miss, as our regulars know well.)


Three more days of warm weather are predicted, then fall-like temps and humidity are predicted to arrive for Friday on through the weekend. I can't wait!
We currently perceive 72 degrees here on our back door thermometer.

I have tried a apple and a peach beer before. The apple was really dry and the peach was a gorgeous drink. They were both imported and I remember very expensive for a 12 pack.

A fine Tuesday morning to the MMC community. Got a nice portion of the garage cleaned up yesterday, but having been up since just after 1AM Monday morning, by around 5PM or so, it was starting to hit me and I was running out of gas. So, I finished making dinner and after we dined (around 8:45), I called it a night.
I might have been able to sleep a little longer (got up at 2:30), but I want to make sure I can get back to sleep for a few hours before tonight's first mid-shift. Maybe I'll get a head start on the wonderful Fall chore of raking leaves.
I certainly hope that everyone is doing well and that this last Tuesday in September brings health and happiness to you all...

It's going to be partly sunny today with highs near 78 degrees. I'm going to head out early to do some food shopping. Back home afterward to work on my daily chores. My husband and I are going to a Paul McCartney concert this evening, should be fun

Merry Tuesday and another warm day! Back to work for me today and catching up on emails. My youngest daughter as softball practice tonight but otherwise should be a quiet day. I still can't believe how dark it is getting so early...we are certainly kicking into fall and the temps will feel like it at the end of the week.

Good morning MMC! Merry Tuesday!! This is possibly the last 90º day of the year?!?! I woke up in the middle of the night with a sore throat, all stuffed up. I think it's mostly allergy/sinus! Crazy weather! I just hope I didn't share anything with Mom last night!!

Our cook out was very tasty last night! It was so nice to hang out with Emma again. What a gem! I sure miss her!

Not much up for today besides work. Then I need to go home & get our house cleaned up before our house guest, Jackson comes tomorrow! Lucy is so excited!! Ha ha!

Just checking in from work...school is over and everyone has gone home. I'm about to head out, but thought I would take a small break before I leave.

I'm exhausted. I didn't sleep well last night. Woke up around 1:30 and was up until 3:30. Hopefully, I get better rest tonight.

Thank you so much Holiday. I had a nice weekend, hope you did too. I went to a local craft fair yesterday. It was sooo hot out, we ended up cutting it short. We still had fun though and I picked up a few things before we left. Sending hugs to you and Lucy!

Morning MMC! Today we expect partly sunny skies and a high of 84. Another warm late September day. Busy Monday at work like usual. Mondays are always busy for me. And now today I am hoping for another one. Feels like September has really picked up speed hasn't it? I'm glad we still have the best 3 months of the year ahead of us though. Getting tougher to get out of after dinner with Rollins for a walk now with the darkness but we still walk at the park. Just depends if we get there early enough to walk inside of it. Once it's dark it's hard to walk in there cause there's animals coming out. Have a great Tuesday!

What time does it get dark there now? When we are at my brothers in Massachusetts it always gets dark so early compared to what we're use too.
