Christmas Countdown - 2017

Good Morning, Eve'ers!

And, sure enough, we have again arrived at Weekend Eve and stand on the brink of another Wondrous Weekend.
But what else are we on the brink of??

Days to the Season: 38
Days to Christmas Day: 80

Yesterday, we were near the brink.
Today we are AT the brink.
And tomorrow, we will BE there -- at the NINETY PERCENT mark to the Season and the beginning of the HOME STRETCH run.
(From then on, things will be fun and move fast!)


Definitely warmer yesterday than the preceeding several days, as summer makes one final run of it. The humidity is still not overly high however, so it feels tolerable.
This morning has commenced sunny here in mid-NC, at 62 degrees.

Good rainy morning Christmas friends!! It looks like night time outside! We sure need the rain, though I'm sure my hubby would rather be out in the field this morning to git 'r done! Maybe tomorrow!

Not much going on today besides work. I got all the spaghetti sauce canned last night. The house still smells amazing! Little Lucy is getting so darn big! She figured out how to go down steps last night so she was upstairs, downstairs, upstairs, downstairs...then down the basement! Here we go... Here she is after a swim in her pool:

Wishing it were Friday, though. I'm coming down with a cold, and I wish the weekend were closer so I could rest. The symptoms aren't too bad, but I'm feeling pretty wiped out already.

Hope you feel better!! The cold thing is going on around here like crazy!

GM MMC..and happy Friday! I did not get a chance to pop on yesterday, I was a last minute chaperone for my youngest daughter's field trip. It was myself and 2 other parents and let me tell you I needed those other parents. The boys we had in our group we SO wild...getting into trouble into whatever we did..lol I was exhausted when I got home last night. Today back to work and not too much planned for the weekend. Tonight we have a soccer game and I am off on Monday so I am looking forward to a 3 day weekend. Hope you all have a great day!

G'Afternoon Christmas-O-Holics! Hope everyone is doing well. Taking a walk through my local shopping centre earlier I'm starting to notice the start of Christmas displays going up, spaces being made, colour schemes become more festive, adverts for Xmas temps in shop windows etc. If I didn't know any better... I'd say it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

yes, it is thanksgiving weekend here!!
Got family coming over on Monday, turkey defrosting in the fridge, all the fixings purchased, now have to start the prep.
Have a chocolate cake to deliver tomorrow
Taking mom to costco today to get her new hearing aids checked and maybe adjusted.
I was approved by my doctor to do 3 - 4 hour shifts a week now. I will only be able to 4 hour shifts from now to retirement (not that this really upsets me, i rather like the 4 hour shifts )
muffler started to come off van yesterday when holding clamp broke, fortunately my wonderful mechanic was able to fix it right away before further damage could be done.

Good rainy Friday morning folks! After going so long without rain, we are now on day #2 with rain!! Bring it on!! At least Jim had 3 good days in the field this week! Doesn't look like he'll get out there today! Today we're supposed to get up to 75º, tomorrow we return to the 80's!
After work today I'll head over to Moms. It's my weekend with her, but I have people coming to relieve me throughout the weekend. Should be a pretty mellow weekend. I'll bring my crocheting along!!

Happy Friday! Today we expect another warm day with 80 degrees under partly sunny skies. Looks like the above normal temps last through the middle of next week but it turns more showery/rainy by later this weekend. Hope you all are having a good Friday. Let's make it to the weekend. Should be a good one and a relaxing one which is always a plus in my book. Next week at work we put up the December calendar. How exciting is that?

Hoping everyone gets to relax this weekend! Some of us in the U.S. get Monday off; Canada is having its Thanksgiving weekend ... very festive!

My cold is now full-blown, but I'm at work today because we're so swamped with fast-track projects. I hope they won't intrude on the weekend, so I can get some "sofa time" and fight off the cold.
