Morning MMC! Today we have a high of 79 predicted under partial sunshine this morning followed by afternoon clouds. A warm October weekend here. Looks like this will be a low-key weekend, my favorite kind. Definitely going to catch up on some errands and Halloween shows today. Hope you all enjoy your Saturday!

Days to Christmas Day: 79
Today --- this very day --- marks the NINETY PERCENT mark in our journey and the start of the HOME STRETCH run to Christmas Season 2017!
(We are now officially on the fast track, Folks.)
Well, it's most definitey getting warmer and more humid by the day. Not too bad, though. And after all it is October, so there can't be too much more heat and humidity to worry about, right? (right?)
We will see.
Currently, we perceive 64 degrees here on our back door thermometer.

Lol..sometimes I get so homesick! Pecans, peaches off the tree, softshell crabs, jumbo shrimp that are 7.50 a pound. Beverages that come in a Ball jar.....

It's overcast and humid today, but I still think I want to be outside. Maybe I'll run down to Bernie's and pick up something to throw on the smoker. I saw a recipe for smoked, bacon-wrapped drumsticks that looked pretty doggone awesome.

Not trying to rub it in, but the last shrimp we boiled came right off the dock near Sapelo Island. Yum, YUM!
Lol...they sell shrimp up here I wouldnt even have used for bait at home for 14.00ish a pound.

I hope everyone had a Happy Milestone Saturday! Kim and I enjoyed our time in Cornwall. It appears that today is our only full day here. We're driving back tomorrow morning with Simon and then preparing our very own Thanksgiving Feast. It will certainly be a first for us. We're quite excited. What better way to celebrate the fact that we have less than 10% of the calendar remaining until we're in the Christmas Season? It seems so incredible, doesn't it?
Of course, the fact that it is Thanksgiving here in Canada helps a little bit, too!

Morning Everyone! Today I am filling in for Crown. It is always an honor for me. Yesterday we reached a major milestone as we now are down the home stretch to the Christmas Season. So what's that mean for our next milestone? Well let's look at our count.
Days to the Season: 36
Days to Christmas Day: 78
Guys and girls...there are no more milestones between us and the CHRISTMAS SEASON which will arrive on Monday, November 13th. That is just 5 weeks from tomorrow! Think about this. In 3 weeks we will reach Halloween, 5 weeks till the Christmas Season, 6 weeks till Thanksgiving, and 11 weeks till Christmas. Let that all sink in. We are really now at the point where it's time to get serious. This is what we wait all year long for these next 2.5 months. We're on the doorstep of the best things of the year. Let's all enjoy it and every part of it together. Have a great Sunday!

Morning ... I think Mother nature has her calendar mixed up again, it so warm and humid already this morning with rain moving in later today, I am ready for more seasonably cool weather.. More and more houses in my neighborhood are decorated for fall and Halloween. Hope everyone has a great day.
Good morning, my Christmas friends. Hope all is well in your world. Everything is good here, except I'm pretty grumpy about the weather. We were supposed to have a cold front move and the highs weren't going to be out of the 70's...but that all changed. Looks like we are going to be around 90 most of this week....with a cool down coming on Tuesday, but just for a day. I am so ready for fall weather!!!!

Christmas shopping has officially started in our house. We found something that we wanted our girls to have and it was on the shelf last night. It was kinda like the Christmas Bug took a good ol' bite out of Doc. She just wouldn't stop about how excited she is and all the things we need to do.....and I just love it! She said we will have to come back next Saturday and do more Christmas shopping....

Same here Minta. I turned off the AC when I went to bed last night and woke up and it was 77° in the livingroom and humid. Rained overnight and we just had a 5 minute deluge...should make for a fantastic day.
