3 and a bit weeks until we can watch The Nightmare Before Christmas... only after that, ONLY THEN - may i officially listen to Christmas Music. Oh yes. With reckless abandon. I'll start slow... with the "just off centre" Christmas songs, like "The Power of Love", "Stay" (East 17), "Gaudete", etc.. but then, the gloves will come off... and it'll be Wizzard, Slade and all the oldschool British hits - bobs yer uncle fannys yer aunt, wallop, 'ave it - Chrimbooo.

Better lay off the tea a bit. Brrr caffeine.

Great week all!
lol !

Good Morning, Friends!
Back from the beach after a quick trip to be sure everything was OK.
(It was.)

First up, a big MMC Thanks to Edge for filling in for me yesterday.
And he made a very astute observation -- that there are no more Milestone markers left between us and Christmas Season 2017.
Can you believe that? NONE!!

Days to the Season: 35
Days to Christmas Day: 77

And yes siree, we are Milestone free from now on for the duration.
One month and four days to go.
(Better start that planning, thinking about your Christmas list......and keeping that camera cocked and ready to snap photos for the Christmas Blossoms thread!)

Nice weather at the beach, although on the warm and humid side.
Some rain during the trip but none while we were at the cottage.
Now as for our Raleigh weather, it looks like we have a good possibility of precipitation for most of this week.
And this morning has indeed dawned quite cloudy, with a temperature reading of 75 degrees.

Have a Marvelous Monday, Folks!

Thanks Crown! I hope it cools off by the time the Christmas Season gets here!

Merry Greetings,

I have been on vacation for a few days and enjoyed celebrating my husband and my father's birthdays.

Got my haircut on Saturday and I thought for sure she said, "I'll be with you in a merry minute." I exclaimed, "Did you say Merry minute?", she said, "Nary a minute." (who says that these days). I decided I'm going to use "merry minute" as much as possible in my conversations and see who is really paying attention. HaHa.

Celebrating our Canadian Thanksgiving with a less traditional approach; mashed potatoes, corn and turkey strips with gravy. No stuffing or cranberries. Husband has a single serve apple pie. I made harvest soup yesterday and it was delicious. O'Malley enjoyed a few grain free turkey treats.

My tablet is "dead". It has to do with the on and off switch; it won't display anything on the screen and it can't shut itself off or restart anymore so I'll have to grab a new one in the next week or two.

I decided to extend my trial for the SiriusXM I have been enjoying in the car on my travels. At first I thought it was overpriced for the year, but there are many cable services for TV viewing that cost that much for a month. I can get a Christmas station on it so that will be fun.

Today is a beautiful day, I may try again to get to the Falls for some photos. Yesterday there were so many vehicles there that they were parked along the side of the HWY. It's a Thanksgiving tradition for most people who grew up in the area. I went for a drive yesterday up the North HWY and some of the leaves were really beautiful, but the hydro wires messed up the image. I may head South today for a different view. Everything is closed so there isn't much else to do.

Have a great day and keep a merry thought in your head. -reindeer-

Happy Sunday, everyone!

It's SO muggy here, and it's supposed to pour rain tomorrow. Doesn't matter to me, because I'm down with a really lousy cold. My nose is clearing up, but I'm still coughing and my voice is AWFUL. Time for some more hot tea with lemon and honey, I think.
I hope you're feeling better today!

Merry Morning,
It's a dismal and damp day over this way.
I have a bit of a cold but no time to be sick . Lots to get done.

Back to the vet with the kittens tonight. Nico is still unwell even after the antibiotics. Anxious to hear what next for them.

Have a great day all.
And I hope you feel better soon, too! And the kittens!

Good Monday morning, Christmas friends!

I'm in a rush, trying to get some things done. I'll be at a golf tournament in Alabama for a few days, starting tomorrow. And I have to leave today to attend the funeral of Nancy's uncle. Bless his heart, he was a nice man, and he'll be missed.

I hope y'all have a great day! :D

so agree with you all, crazy hot for this time of the year. Apparently will stay this way till end of month !!! So glad we left the ac in.I will copy that snow picture and put it on the wall LOL

Worked on putting together desert for tomorrow, lemon cheese cake. Turkey is defrosted and ready to put in the oven in the morning. stuffing is mixed, cranberry fruit compote ready...tomorrow I put it all together!! including roasted sweet potato, mashed potatoes, gravy and cauliflower.
I forgot to buy wine, but fortunately my daughter had a bottle not yet opened.

Hope you all have a great evening !!!
I can smell it from here!!! ENJOY!

Good morning MMC, Merry Monday :)
We're expecting lots of rain today, heavy at times with highs near 75 degrees. Not too much going on here. I have a chiropractor appointment this morning and a couple of quick errands to run afterward. Other than that I will be working on my daily chores. Dinner will be pulled pork sandwiches with homemade coleslaw. That's about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a great week ahead!!!
Hope your appointment goes well & you have a great day!!!

Feel better quick Festive! Have a great day! Prayers for the kitties. Keep us posted.
Lucy had a vet appointment on Saturday - she's up to 14.2 lbs! :)

Hoping those in the U.S. who have Columbus Day off (or Indigenous Peoples Day, depending on where you're located) are enjoying their day, and wishing everyone in Canada a wonderful Thanksgiving Day!

It's gray and VERY muggy here, with downpours forecast for the afternoon. A great day to stay in and recover from a bad cold! I'm also doing small things around the house without pushing my stamina. Enjoying the break today, because tomorrow it's back to work, and it's still crazy there.

I had to miss out on a great workplace tradition Friday because of my cold. Once a year in the fall, one of my co-workers and his wife makes a huge load of meatballs and sauce, and brings them in at lunchtime with all the makings for meatball subs. They call it "The Fall Ball." I was feeling so lousy Friday from the cold, and didn't want to contaminate the feast, so I went home early and had some soup. In November we'll have an office Thanksgiving---they provide the sliced turkey, and the employees bring all the other dishes, desserts, and snacks.
