Everyone have a good evening!!

Well we just received some horrible news. Our friends son committed suicide this morning. I think he's 21 years old, or right around there. So devastating! :(
My goodness, that's terrible! So young!

Merry Morning,
It's a dismal and damp day over this way.
I have a bit of a cold but no time to be sick . Lots to get done.

Back to the vet with the kittens tonight. Nico is still unwell even after the antibiotics. Anxious to hear what next for them.

Have a great day all.

Sending get well wishes for you and the kittens <3

Good Monday morning, Christmas friends!

I'm in a rush, trying to get some things done. I'll be at a golf tournament in Alabama for a few days, starting tomorrow. And I have to leave today to attend the funeral of Nancy's uncle. Bless his heart, he was a nice man, and he'll be missed.

I hope y'all have a great day! :D

I'm so sorry to hear about Nancy's Uncle.
Hope you enjoy the tournament Brad.

Brent is quite correct.
(I have a few I'll be posting in a few minutes!)

I enjoyed those photos, Crown. Always great to see the stores of Crabtree getting into the Spirit. Perhaps it will be 10 days when the mall itself begins to decorate for the Most Wonderful Time of the Year? I only say that because you shared some most excellent photos last year on October 19th!

First of all, thanks to all for the warm wishes for our thanksgiving celebrations. And warm it was again today, hard to believe we are into october and still feels like summer!
had a great day with my family, lots of great food and fun.

My condolences to you and Nancy on your loss ((((HUGS))))

The worst is over, thanks, but I'm still coughing a bit, still hoarse, and still tired. Happily, the office is closed today and I can take it at my own speed! Just doing things one at a time and slowly.
so gald to hear you are on the mend....if you were here I could make you a big pan of turkey soup to help !

I had to miss out on a great workplace tradition Friday because of my cold. Once a year in the fall, one of my co-workers and his wife makes a huge load of meatballs and sauce, and brings them in at lunchtime with all the makings for meatball subs. They call it "The Fall Ball." I was feeling so lousy Friday from the cold, and didn't want to contaminate the feast, so I went home early and had some soup. In November we'll have an office Thanksgiving---they provide the sliced turkey, and the employees bring all the other dishes, desserts, and snacks.
what a lovely tradition ! So sorry you had to miss out, but I am sure your co workers appreciated your thoughtfulness.

how sad, and so young. My prayers go out to this family

Glad you had a wonderful time, too, 'Star! It was a warm one around the nation's capital as well. Nothing beats food, family, and fun. We're all so lucky to have experienced those three things this weekend.

My heart is broken for your friends, Holiday. Depression is a terrible disease. I hope we all can continue to feel more and more comfortable talking about it so that everyone learns that suicide is not the answer. As a teacher, I always have to make sure that students are healthy and comfortable. Best to your friends during this difficult time.

Good morning to the MMC community. So many times on a Monday morning, we hear (or think to ourselves)... "Where did the weekend go?". For me, it would have to be, where did the last week and a half go? All I can come up with is very quickly and what a blur! Of course I am grateful to God that He has given me the energy to get things that come up out of now where accomplished, but it sure seems to take it's toll more than I can remember (when I can remember... lol).
Anyway, another week has dawned. I took an extra day off (today) for my wife's birthday. She had specific plans for the day, but things may be changing a bit. I also need to get to the Zoo this AM and pick up the Zoo Boo posters for delivery around town. I have most of the Halloween outdoor decor up and ready, but I always leave an item or two for the actual day, just a add a bit of spice when the "Treaters" arrive at my door.
The main inflatable for the Reindeer Corral has arrived and the area placed off. With the long range temperatures looking good, I may be able to hold off doing any of the stakes until the Friday after Thanksgiving.
South Dakota has started a renew your license online, so that is taken care of. Gives me one less thing to do on my birthday next year. Not much else going on, but I think I need a healthy dose of Taco Tuesday today. Have a great day and week everyone...

Ahh a fellow Brit :) Prae, what sort of audible pleasures will you be lining up this pre-yuletide season? I can heartily recommend John Renbourn for that "almost Chrimbo" feel.
Hi !!!
I have not heard of that one so I will have to check it out. Around this time of year I enjoy listening to a lot of Jazz and blues. Works well with the autumn atmosphere and gives me that pre christmas feeling too :D I also like building up to the season with classical music like Tchaikovsky (The Nutcracker). However I love music so I am open to anything really!!! These days I am also enjoy a spooky playlist for the Halloween season :)

Morning!
I hope you are all well. I only manage to catch the odd post as I dash in and out. Nico is on a different treatment so we hope to get some results now. I heard Whiskey sneezing this morning so I am keeping an eye in case he needs to be treated again. They are both in very good spirits though.

Thank you for the well wishes. I will admit I have so much to do I just have to get on with it. It is not that bad so thankfully I can and hopefully it doesn't get worse like others.

It's my youngest's birthday on Saturday. he will be 6! I can remember holding him as a new baby while visiting the forums here on MMC. Makes me realise how long I have known you guys :)

Well hope you all have a great day!
