I already tuned my Durango to Siriux XM Holly so I have new Christmas music (something besides the CD I've been listening too) at lunch!
Thank so much CGY. I hope your day is extra good. Things have progressed to a comfortable point with the refurb thankfully. We have painted walls , a completed stone fire place and ....FLOORS!!! Mr F and I spent all weekend finishing the stone work and laying floors. The floors came with some challenges (everything has it seems) but Mr did a great job. I don't know how he does it holding down his day job and then working on our home too. We have a few more jobs to do over the next week and then we will pause till after winter. We are exhausted! To get this point has been a long road, I am looking forward to kicking back and enjoying the holiday season and of course decorating!! Thank you for your encouragement through out these past months with regard to the house as well

What about you? we have made some huge progress with the house refurb so a few more small jobs this week and we can pause till next spring. I will bring down decorations from next week. I need to start planning where everything goes as its our first Christmas here Eeeek so excited!!

We had a great Trick-or-Treating last night with wonderful weather and lots of kids! After that, we went to eat with Nancy's mom, who made a big pot of mustard greens. I LOVE mustard greens!

I got home about 7, so I got in on the last hour of it. Then we had to attend a meeting, and got back home around 9:30. At least we got to see the Barney Miller "werewolf" episode! Mr. says we can watch the Halloween shows anytime, but I'm ready to switch from ghosts to elves! I had Christmas music on in the car this morning, including some that I forgot I added to my Amazon Prime Christmas playlist!
Here's my solution: I save some albums as "special" until the season, and listen to my "lesser" Christmas music (or stream Christmas music) until then. I get to enjoy Christmas music, but still have special Christmas music to look forward to!Oops, indeed! I want to do the same in my Corolla, especially since I drive 30 minutes to and from work every day. I've been holding off, however. The 13th isn't too far away... I think I can do it! ...well, I hope.

That's great you have made such good progress! Sounds like you've been busy!!!! I am hoping to start on my tree November 16th, but we still haven't made Thanksgiving plans. If I end up hosting, it won't work out to put it up until after Thanksgiving!The tree will go up end of month
I'm glad you were able to catch part of the trick or treaters. I just can't get into many Halloween shows, so Christmas has been on at our house. (and Jims eyes have been rolling...LOL)
