Sorry to hear you have not been well. Ugh I hate being sick. I hope you recover quickly. Ain't nobody got time to be sick with holidays comingThank you! I'm not too concerned about having a cold, I just don't want to give it to Mom! If I'm still coughing tomorrow I might have to see if Alice will switch nights with me - she is coming Sunday night. Maybe she could come Friday instead & give me an extra day. We'll see!(It's so nice to have back-up)

It's been a tough year for you guys with your mum struggling. I can see how you would want to take all precautions to keep her well. It's a must. I hope you all still enjoy the celebrations regardless of how you all spend it.I haven't really thought much about it yet either - probably b/c our family isn't talking about it yet as far as who's hosting, etc. I think everybody is afraid to have a Thanksgiving celebration b/c last year mom was so healthy at Thanksgiving & 2 days later she was in the hospital with pneumonia - which is when things started going down hill for her. I think in the back of everyone's mind we are thinking "Should we have our traditional Thanksgiving & expose mom to all the germs???" There are lots of little ones who are major germ carriers. LOL
P.S It's true once my kids are in school they pick up all sorts of bugs which means it passes on to all the family too.
A sure sign that Christmas is coming: my husband asked me this morning when we will put up the tree. To be fair, I think he asked in part because he wants to store away the portable air conditioner and to do that he needs to take the tree out of the closet first. I don't think he feels like hauling out the box only to put it back in the closet and have to haul it out again when we do put up the tree (which is not yet).
Exciting times are ahead!!!
I love hearing about everyone's preparations for the season.Getting excited here all inside is up, working on the outside, still weeks of work to go, but it's the best time of year on our cul de sac!
