I took a vacation day off from work today. Just puttering around getting things put away and trying to neaten up ahead of decorating. I'm also in the midst of sewing together a gift afghan, so it's a good day to tackle that.

We woke up to a brisk 15 degree wind chill this morning...Our twinkling tree will begin showing off in 18 days.

At least three more will be added before inside is complete, but that always requires a bit of rearranging the furniture. Have a fun day...

We put up one seven foot tree for my Hallmark ornaments. The rest will come out after Thanksgiving. You’ll have to share pictures when you’re finished decorating, I bet your house looks amazing!

Good morning MMC!! How in the world is it Monday again already? Did we even have a weekend???

We had crazy storms/tornado come through yesterday. The tornado didn't hit directly here, but in the town Jim works in about 15 miles from here. Lots of building damage. There were 2 people injured from what I'm hearing, but I believe everyone is ok. Jims uncle & his cousin both lost barns. So scary! My bro/sil came flying over to Moms & helped me carry her in her wheel chair down the basement - twice. It's never a good sound to hear those tornado sirens going off! Thankfully our town was spared for the major storms/damage. EEK!

I hope you all had a great weekend!

I took Mom Christmas shopping on Saturday & Sunday & I ended up getting quite a bit done myself! DD & I watched part of a Hallmark Christmas movie on Sunday morning. I usually spend Veteran's Day (this Friday) wrapping Christmas presents, and before this weekend I didn't have anything to wrap. So glad to get some of that done!

Thanks! Except for the weather, it's very nice ... I found some DVDs with Christmas movies that I haven't seen. So far the movies are very good! Meanwhile, I'm sewing the pieces of that afghan together. I hope you're having a fine day!

I have that same white "PEACE" ornament that's towards the bottom of your tree! Or actually, mine might say BELIEVE - which I think you also have!
