Good afternoon my friends, Pines day already wow where’s the time go?
Have to take the cakes to the competition on Friday and I’m not ready and I don’t think I will be because my arm is acting up again. Well it is what it is I will take and what I have.
At least I get the $200 plus Goodie bag for entering. If nothing more that made it worth it.
Working on sewing some aprons for our community meal volunteers.
Looking forward to soaking in the hot tub tonight at the Pines. Anyone know what Carl’s got planned?
Went back to work enjoy your day everyone!
Good luck with your competition. I'm sure it will be amazing. I hope your arm is feeling better quick!!
Nice that you are sewing aprons for the volunteers!
See you tonight!

If I don't make it on tomorrow, I'm wishing you all a wonderful, blessed Thanksgiving!

Good morning MMC ~
Happy Thanksgiving Eve!
Wow, so excited about tomorrow! Lots to do today. But first my daughter has to have her wisdom teeth removed, the poor thing. Back home afterward to dote on my daughter and prepare for tomorrow as well. I’ll pop back in when I can.
I hope everyone has a wonderful day!
xx

** CHRISTMAS SEASON DAY 10 **

Good Morning, Folks.
Can we really be all the way to Season day ten?
Seems like such a short time ago we were all counting down the final minutes to the start of the Season.

Regardless, we but turn another page:
Days to Thanksgiving: 1 (TOMORROW!!)
Days to Christmas Day: 33 (Just three days over ONE MONTH left!)

(Wow!)

As predicted, we did reach the low 60's yesterday.
A repeat will be experienced today before it gets chilly again for Turkey Day.
Our present temperature is 53 degrees here in our part of MMC.

OK, now!
Tonight will be the FINAL Shispering Pines open house before Thanksgiving.
And as in years past, Carl and crew have magically transformed our favorite holiday inn from Christmas decor to Thanksgiving for this special night. Lots of orange and brown/earth tones. Pumkins everywhere. Horns of plenty on every table. (Guess what they are stuffed with!). Pilgrim figures (Carl is dressed as one, too).
Be sure to come and bring your appetite. (I may fast all day just so I can feast tonight on the 'Pines sumptuous Thanksgiving dinner with less guilt!)

I hope to see each and every one of you there and in the meantime, you have the most Wonderful Wednesday of your lives, Friends!

Merry Thanksgiving Eve, Crown! I hope you have the most Wonderful Wednesday of your life, too!

Sounds like a great recipe!!! Hope you had fun at the store!!! Merry Thanksgiving Eve!!

Merry Thanksgiving Eve, Holiday! It is a great recipe. Love Farm Journal cookbooks! When I have the time, I'll post the recipe.

Last night, we introduced the two kitties to each other for the first time. I was surprised, there was no hissing, no growling, no hunching of the backs or anything. They sniffed a lot, sniffed each other, touched noses a few times, and started to follow each other around the place for a bit. We did this for about 30 minutes and then we separated them again.

For the last four days, we had one in a room all to herself and the other one, the first one I adopted, having the run of the rest of the place, like usual. They knew each other was there because there is an 1 - 1/1/4 gap under the door, so they could smell each other, hear each other and they were putting their paws under the door, trying to touch each other.

We really want this to go well, so we are trying to do the introducing thing slowly, and for a little bit at a time at first; being together. Shiloh is almost a year and Ariel is 3 months old.

We named Shiloh after a city referred to in the bible; as a city of peace and refuge.
And we named Ariel after one of the 7 Archangels (The patron saint of animals and the environment) her name means, "lioness of God.

I will try to post pictures of them later.

Merry Thanksgiving Eve, xmastidings!
Love your kitten's name ~ looking forward to seeing the pictures!

With tomorrow being Thanksgiving, I would really love to re-start my tradition, of watching Miracle on 34th street (1947).

I used to do this every year, in the morning, with the Thanksgiving day parade also, for many years, and well, the last couple years, I just was not up to doing that tradition any longer. But, time has a way of moving on, and so did I and I really feel now, like (on the inside) starting the tradition all over again.

I feel, well, like it's Christmas once again; I've missed it.

Yay ~ welcome back!

Happy thanksgiving eve MMC Peeps !

Blessings to all,
Ms Rose

Merry Thanksgiving Eve, Ms Rose!

I was thinking the same thing!
And @MerryCarey - I hope you are done with your work day!! xx
Yes! I got home about 1 p.m. I got the front room tree set up and the lights strung on it, and set up the little tree in the TV room. They’re not decorated yet, but they’re all ready. I’m tired now and relaxing with a cup of “Christmas in Paris” herbal tea.

Hope your daughter's appointment goes ok.

Hope your daughter does ok and it is not too painful!

Prayers going up for your daughter for a speedy recovery!

Good luck to your daughter. And good luck to you with all your prep! Have a good day!

Merry Thanksgiving Eve to you and yours, HmG! Praying for a quick recovery for your daughter!

Thanks everyone, the appointment went well. Hopefully she’ll be feeling better quickly.

Thxs Crown!! The days are flying by us....again!!

Good morning all and Happy Thanksgiving to everyone celebrating it this morning. To the rest of the MMC community, I'm certain we can all find something this day to be thankful for.
I have a ton to be thankful for myself and they all center around my God who gives to me so liberally, even when I cannot see it. Naturally I am grateful for the time on this site and so many of you who have enriched my life in a very positive way.
This will be my only post today, as I have much to do with some unexpected (yet very welcome) guests who will be arriving to share the meal with us later on.
Take care. May your turkey be brown and tender, your gravy smooth, your stuffing moist and your memories of this day everlasting...

** CHRISTMAS SEASON DAY 11 **

Good Morning, Folks.
Well, with turkey and the parade just ahead of us, I won't take much of your time this morning.
Of course, it won't take as much time to read the count today anyway, seeing as how we are now down to a single figure!

Days to Christmas Day: 32 (ONE MONTH from the day after tomorrow!)

(That single count number looks a little naked there all by itself, doesn't it?)

Pretty warm for late November here yesterday.
Today should be more seasonal and we have commenced it at 38 degrees.

Well, I hope everyone throughout MMC has a Thrilling Thanksgiving Thursday, and that you will be able to enjoy today to the fullest with family and friends!
