We closed the plant yesterday so that any of the guys that wanted to, could attend Russell's funeral. It was a beautiful service, with his daughter delivering the eulogy. Wow, she was awesome. I don't know how she did it, but it was wonderful.

After that, I took some of the management from our other facilities out to dinner. We had a great time telling old stories about Russell. I'm sure he would not have approved LOL.

This morning, Elizabeth's class had their Class Ring Presentation with a dinner afterwards, so I'm just getting to work. She's so proud, and her...boyfriend (grrr)...was her presenter. LOL

It's so nice to see that some businesses still have this consideration for their workers. I know it was a comfort to my family to see all of my Dad's old co-workers at his funeral. We never realized that so many people thought so highly of Dad. And we shared the funny stories too; my Dad was quite the comedian.
And don't worry about the boyfriend; I was Daddy's little girl until the day he died, even though I had been married for over 10 years and was 50 years old at that point. So you see, when it comes to daughters and Daddy, the boyfriends don't have a chance.

I want to intimidate the boy (my right as a father), but I actually like him, doggone it. :rolleyes::p

This is amazing ... some of our younger employees have started a Christmas decoration contest in the office. Over on the "other side" (roughly speaking, there are two "wings" on either side of the kitchen area) a 7-1/2-foot tree with white lights has just gone up ... so "our side" has gotten out the 7-footer with white lights we've been displaying for a few years now. It's great to see the Christmas spirit breaking out in this way!

good evening all !
i have been busy baking, and cleaning, and shopping and having fun with it all !
No snow here yet which is really odd for this area that is supposed to be in the snow belt. Promise of some on the way, but weather radar shows most will pass us by.
Got my tree set up ready to decorate. i am so behind this year. Christmas cards go out this Friday.
Hit a great sale at walmart. Got 2 pair pants, 3 shirts and a dress all for less than $20 ! (75% off ) nice to have all this new clothes just before Christmas.
The little one I look after before school is so much fun to be with...most of the time. We did have a rough morning this week, but turns out she just did not get enough sleep. Its getting up at 5am that is hard to get used to.

I could see it coming down here last night also. It was around 11 pm, but by 5 am it had amounted to nothing...grrr!
 
Morning MMC! Well on my day off Wednesday I did go to the mall and got some a few gifts. I didn't quite finish but I'm very close. Will put the finishing touches on that and commence wrapping this weekend. Definitely nice to have off in the middle of the week for a change although I was pretty busy so I didn't get to rest too much. Hope you all enjoy your Friday EVE!

Happy Thursday!
Its going to be sunny today with a high of 45 degrees. I'll be heading to the mall later this morning to do some shopping, I'll be looking for a dress to wear on Christmas. My husband and will be attending a party this weekend, we have to wear a Christmas themed outfit/costume. I'll probably stop at Party City while I'm out to see if I can find something cute. Other than that I will be working on my daily chores. That's about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!
