Christmas Countdown - 2017

[Holiday]

Good Thursday morning, Christmas friends!

Nancy's niece asked me to take some pictures of her and her kids for their Christmas cards when I got off work. After that, my sister-in-law asked me to help her order another computer for her office. Then Nancy and I went to her mom's to make sure her medicine was correct, and wound up eating supper.

I love my in-laws, but I had a bag of Hot Fries at home that was calling to me all afternoon! Doggone it.

This morning I brought in some tinsel garland and some ornaments that I wasn't using. I hung the garland and put the ornaments in a big bowl so people can wander by and pick something out to hang up. (They're not getting the idea, though ... they just say "Oh, that looks nice!") I also added one of those extension cords with a foot switch to make it easier for anyone to deal with turning the lights on and off. It's looking like Christmas around here!

LOL! I bet it does look nice! Too pretty to touch! I should get our tree for the office down from the loft & get it up. I have a little tree on my desk, but the big tree isn't up.

I really am! If I stand in the right spot, I can see three Christmas trees at once!

I don't expect to win the contest, because I'm just sticking with the decorations I have, and the folks here are very competitive. (And I'll be on "Christmas vacation" after the 18th.) But it'll be fun to see all the decos going up as the deadline approaches!

This is probably the only year I'll get a "Christmas vacation" from the 19th through the 31st. Due to health problems, we didn't get to go on a vacation this year, so I had days left over to use before the end of the year. So I decided I was going to have a Christmas staycation, and enjoy some time at home to (hopefully!) relax in the days leading up to Christmas and between Christmas and New Year's. I'll miss the decoration judging at the office, but I won't miss it too much if I can bake some Christmas cookies and curl up on the sofa with some hot cocoa and Christmas movies!

Well its snowing here in central Indy today but its not sticking. We'll get that over the weekend. Not much going on here. I've been battling the cold from #$%& for the last week and it just doesn't want to go away. I start getting better and then relapse. Ugh. Oh well, I don't need a voice or sleep anyways. Lol!! I hope everyone is having a great week!!!

It's snowing here too! LOVE IT! So pretty!! Lucy was so confused by the flakes at lunch - it was snowing pretty hard. She would catch & then chew them! She just couldn't quite figure it out! So funny!!
I hope you are feeling better quick. The "cold" thing seems to be going around - everywhere. Hence the reason my pocket is full of vitamins & defense herbs that I need to take this afternoon. LOL!! Take care & kick that cold!!

Well, it's quitting time. I feel like I could take a nap but it's not going to happen! I won't have much time after I leave moms until it's time for house hopping! Of course I have to play with the little peanut before I leave too!
