Good Monday morning! One week until the big day, it's crazy how fast the end of the year has gone. I'm working the afternoon/evening shift so I'll try and wrap some gifts this morning. And I have a few little things left to buy for my husband's stocking. Hope everyone will enjoy a nice day.

Good Morning, Final Weekers!

Does that mean what it appears to mean?
Why, yes. It certainly does!

As the daily count proves:
Days to Christmas Day: 7 (ONE WEEK FROM TODAY!!)
(Wowzers!! Fifty-Two weeks down to one. That's ONE, Guys!)


We made it up to 54 yesterday with plenty of sun. Felt pretty good for December!
Now today and tomorrow will see us move well into the 60's for highs before we cool off a bit by Wednesday.
Our week-beginning temperature here in the capital city is 39 degrees.

Morning MMC! I don't think I spent more than 3 hours total out of bed from Saturday evening till Monday morning. Even when I'm sick I don't stay in bed for that long. But this virus hit me hard and fast. It hit my brother at the same time. We both were in bed most of the day. But it looks like one of those fast/furious viruses that comes and goes within a day or 2 because I feel so much better today. I'm still trying to take it easy though and don't want to overdo it. I'm just thankful it was this Sunday and not next! I'm hearing some rain may happen for us around Christmas. Blah...why did it snow most of the month and now Christmas comes and it rains? Have a great day!

Thanks Crown!! Hard to believe I already have the 2018 calendar ready to be filled in with Milestones. Even harder to believe is our paper chain we put up last Dec 25th is now only about 7" long. The chain literally ran around the whole ceiling in the tv room.

Good morning MMC! I can't believe the weekend is over AGAIN already!
It was such a nice weekend. Friday I hung out at moms a lot with Emma. I miss that girl! Friday night we went to our friends house for some Christmas cheer & she had a craft there for all of us to make. Here is my masterpiece.

Another fun & busy Christmassy day! I was worn out yesterday. I didn't do a whole lot of anything, except get the kitchen cleaned up & watch Christmas on tv!

My hubby started in with the icks last evening. He's home from work today, he's pretty green. UGH! I hope he gets over it fast & I don't get it! I slept downstairs by the tree last night!

We heard from my brother in Massachusetts yesterday. He & my SIL will be coming home on the 23rd, staying until at least NYE! YAY!!! I'm very excited for that!!

Everyone, have a good Monday! Next week at this time it will be Christmas day. Just doesn't seem possible!!

Morning all!! I got in a few more movies last night: 12 Dates of Christmas, Christmas in the Smokies, Lionel Trains 1st Christmas train show. We are down to 1 week left and I have 2 types of cookies left to bake. Choco chip and Dream Bars!!

Finally remembered to buy stamps so now I can send the rest of my Christmas cards out on Monday. The sad thing is that the cards are ready to go, I just forgot to take them to the post office today.

The furnace wasn't working when I got home. Needed a new thermostat installed. Palmer is so happy the heat is back!

Glad it is the weekend and I have nothing to do but Christmas!

Happy One Week from Christmas!

This is my last workday before Christmas, and it's sure to feel very long ... I have a busy week ahead at home, but most of it will be putting the final touches on Christmas. Where has December gone??

Good Saturday morning! It's 4:30am and I'm up, unable to stay asleep, thinking about all I have to do for Christmas. I fell asleep at 8pm last night after watching Shrek the Halls. Hoping today I can find more energy as we have so many things to do and we're going to my brother's tonight. I'm a list-maker so this is what I'm going to do to get my thoughts organized and stop freaking out. It's snowing and very cold again this morning. Can't do much until 7am, don't want to disturb our neighbours, so I'm going to relax a bit. The calm before the craziness. Have a wonderful day everyone!

Feeling festive this morning as I head out soon to finish my Christmas shopping and enjoy a holiday party with the gang from work that will include some bowling (uggh - my team will be so embarrassed - my gutter balls somehow wind up in the next lane). Good news about my daughter..all her blood work came back normal so the Dr said she just need to up her calorieintake. I wish I had that problem..lol
My daughter has a basketball game today and my husband and I have a holiday party tonight.

Morning all!! Yesterday marked my 3rd year of participating in the local Christmas for Families campaign. It most likely was my last...due to political/religious pressure they have changed the way you can donate. Each family is supplied a entire Christmas tree and all the deco to go with it. No part of the donations come from the organization, it all is supplied from the donator. This year they pushed back the dropoff date until yesterday which had me infuriated for 2 months now. This coming year they want all neutral religious ornaments. Nothing that can have a political implication.No Santa images and no Nutcracker images (nutcrackers are violent..thats what they told me) Sadly this is what we have resorted to in this day and age. I have contacted a few others who have told them they are done... It might just come down to us running our own group now.

What a shame!

Happy Sunday!
Not too much going on here today. I ordered the last of my Christmas gifts yesterday. Everything is supposed to arrive before the 25th, fingers crossed! I just have to pick up a couple of gift cards and I will be finished. I’m glad I have all of next week to wrap and concentrate on my menu plan for Christmas Day. We’re getting so close!

Good morning everyone.

Well, the warm air is moving back in for the early part of this week. I am not happy about that! But it is suppose to turn cold by the end of the week and next weekend. There is a slight possibility of snow, but they keep putting in and taking it out of the forecast for the 23rd-26th.

My wife and I saw Murder on the Orient Express yesterday; it was fantastic. Great cast, acting, and writing. Very well done.
This week I only have three days of school and it is semester exams. Very boring for me, just sitting there watching people take tests. Then grading those tests while the next class takes tests. Wednesday is a 2 hour early dismissal which is nice.

Today I am going to do some Christmas shopping for my wife. I have a few places to go, but it will be fun. It is strange, I really am not a fan of going to stores and shopping, except at Christmas time. Then, even with the crowds and chaos, I enjoy it. Strange I know.

What a shame!

It amounts to a few people spewing their ideas because they have nothing else to do in their lousy lives than to cause trouble where there is none. It did occur to me that whoever demanded no religious symbols were themselves promoting a belief upon others. There was only around 25 of us that participated in this yearly, there is now 20 of us that have started our own.
