Whew, T.G.I.F.!

Nothing is wrong, just feels like it's been an extra long work week. We're going to a friend's house for dinner tonight. No plans for tomorrow, so I'll be cleaning house & hopefully working on my vacation scrapbook. Sunday will be church x 2. DD & I are off Monday for the holiday, so I hope to get some of the "irregular chores" done on Monday at my leisure.

Hope you feel better today, HMG!!
Sweet, Rocky!! Sounds like he is growing on track!

So Sorry for your loss, Brad...

Your party sounds so fun!! Have a great time!

This dreary weather is terrible..makes me feel so lazy.
My Leo is a squirrel and chipmunk hunter...he goes crazy when they are outside...Andre on the other hand is not that smartest bulb so half the time I am not sure he knows they are there...lol
Have a great weekend!
lol I love your description of Andre. Loki is just like Leo. Looking at how Loki grabs his plush toys by the neck and shakes them vigorously, I'd hate to think what he'd do if he caught a squirrel. But they're too smart and fast for him.

I hope your day at work goes quick!! And then the weekend slows down & you get to stay inside & watch it SNOW!!!
I always look at the weather channel & then I watch a weather website from made's state!

Kinda fun!
Have a great weekend xmas!
Nice... I'm going to save that link. Thanks for sharing!

TGIF, Christmas friends!

It's a beautiful start to the day, almost 70°F outside and sunshine. It's supposed to be 80° for the next 10 days at least. What happened to winter?!

My great uncle passed away this week, and his funeral is tomorrow. He lived just down the road from my mom's, but we were never really close. He's the last of my grandfather's immediate family, at 97 years old. He was driving up until last year, too! He was actually a WWII vet, and was at the Normandy invasion, where he was wounded and received the Purple Heart. It's very interesting, but he was sort of standoffish, so we saw each other and spoke only in passing. Bless his heart.

Lunch with mom and Jim today.

I hope y'all have a great day! :D

My condolences and prayers are with your family, Brad.

Morning MMC. Happy Presidents Day Weekend. A chilly morning here with 3-6 inches of snow for tonight predicted. We'll see if it happens. After that? Spring weather all next week. I'll take an early spring. Other than that we may have a friend coming for dinner and I'm going to be doing my normal Saturday errands. Love Saturday mornings! Have a good one!

Merry Saturday MMC ~
Not too much going on here. I’m heading out soon to do some food shopping. Back home afterward to work on the laundry. Just a typical day. I’m going to make chili for dinner and we plan on catching up with some shows later this evening. I hope everyone is well and has a nice day!

Good morning. I’ve gotta family of house sparrows that resides in a hedge row along the side of the house and this morning they must be extra happy because they are just singing so loudly. Which is making my two kitties go bonkers this morning also. Both of them are looking out the window at the tweety birds.

Well, I hope the tweety’s enjoy the sunshine while it lasts this morning because things are really going to change around these parts tonight.

They increased the predicted snowfall amount to 5-9 inches overnight and have now issued a winter storm warning for this area.

I bet you those grocery stores are going to be mobbed today!

Well time to make some coffee.

Good Weekend Morning, Everyone!
We are once again at our weekly oasis.

Now, let's sit back, relax and soak up a tall one of sweet southern iced tea as we soak up today's numbers. (And hey. Munch on a fired twinkie while you're at it.)

OK, let's go:
Days to the Season: 269
Days to Christmas Day: 311

And the 300-Day Christmas Day Milestone marker?
Why, it's only ELEVEN days ahead now.
SINGLE DIGITS from the day after tomorrow!
(Oops. Instead of relaxing you, I may have done the opposite.)

Wow. I saw 80 degrees on our thermometer yesterday afternoon. The official high for Raleigh was 81.
But what a difference a day makes. We are not predicted to get out of the 40's today and will be down into the 30's tonight.
(Well, after all, winter IS still here.)
We are at 47 degrees right now under rainy looking skies.

Have a Sensartional Saturday, Folks.
Have a great weekend!

Happy Saturday! My husband’s car broke down yesterday afternoon so it is now in the shop. He has to work today for a few hours so I am homebound but that is ok..I have some laundry and cleaning to catch up on anyway.
Looks like they are saying 5-8 inches for tonight so we will stay in and watch a movie. Looks like all the snow will be gone next week! Hope you have a great day!

Good Saturday morning! A glorious, sunny cold Winter day here, but temperatures will be on the rise again starting tomorrow. David is starting a week's vacation, I hope he gets plenty of rest as we enjoy this time off together. The plan is to go out to eat either for lunch or supper today, we'll see. Have a fantastic day everyone!

Happy Saturday, everyone!

Still suffering with a cold ... makes me feel so run down. Happily, it's a holiday weekend! We get to start our Saturday with this year's tax prep appointment. A few inches of snow are expected overnight. Sounds like a great setup for a movie night!
