It’s going to be cloudy today with highs near 50 degrees. I’m heading out soon, I need to go to Bed Bath & Beyond to pick up a couple of things. Love that store! Back home afterward to work on my daily chores. Dinner will be Italian Wedding Soup. That’s about it for me. I hope everyone has a nice day and a great week ahead!!!

Whew, T.G.I.F.!

Nothing is wrong, just feels like it's been an extra long work week. We're going to a friend's house for dinner tonight. No plans for tomorrow, so I'll be cleaning house & hopefully working on my vacation scrapbook. Sunday will be church x 2. DD & I are off Monday for the holiday, so I hope to get some of the "irregular chores" done on Monday at my leisure.

Good Saturday morning! A glorious, sunny cold Winter day here, but temperatures will be on the rise again starting tomorrow. David is starting a week's vacation, I hope he gets plenty of rest as we enjoy this time off together. The plan is to go out to eat either for lunch or supper today, we'll see. Have a fantastic day everyone!

Rain, rain, go away....

We've experienced rain and more rain....and there is more rain coming. There is rain in the forecast for the next 12 days. Cabin fever is a real thing, y'all. I just want spring and warmer/dryer weather. The thought of getting outside and playing sounds like so much fun! Doesn't look possible...not until March, at least.

Going to be a busy week. We are having a regional basketball tourney at our place. Our team is 26-0 and ranked #1 in the state for our classification. Having the tourney at our place (for the first time in 16 years) is going to be a blast, but a lot of work. I can hardly wait.

We have 7 days of rain predicted. Blah!! I say let it snow, or make it 80!!! LOL

Hi everyone! Haven't posted in a few days as I went home for the weekend. Had a lovely time with my family and am now writing to you from the train back to university, had a little cry earlier lol, always hard leaving especially when I only get to spend a couple of days with them. Now I just have to focus on my study's and look forward to seeing them again at easter, hope you are all well.

Good afternoon ... we got about 2 inches of snow last night but half of it has melted away already. Yesterday before the snow moved it felt more like a late fall day. Today we are staying home and just getting stuff done around the house.. well most of anyway LOL my daughter went to the movies with her boyfriend. Got Chili in the crock pot and I am debating if I want to make corn bread or a loaf of beer bread

I made homemade bread for our meal on Saturday. Mmm, mmm! Makes the house smell so good! Hope you enjoyed!

Morning MMC. Happy Presidents Day! If you are off, enjoy it. I'm working so it's just another long week for me. But it's all good as they say. Saw those 2 houses yes still lit today! Unreal. Got that snowy Saturday and now a spring-like week ahead. Bring it on. Since Mid-January really this winter hasn't been terrible. It was rough from December 10th till January 15th but I'd rather it be cold/snowy around Christmas and warm up after than the reverse. Enjoy your Presidents Day Monday!

Another new week is what's here. Another glorious week of counting down with each other.
And this is the last full week of February, as well. The year is really racing by!

So are our count numbers.

Days to Christmas Day: 309

And another wonder to behold is the fact that we are now down to SINGLE DIGITS to the 300-Day Christmas Day Window, our next Milestone marker.
Just check the chart. It will confirm a scant 9 days remain until BOTH of our counts start with the digit "2"!

We reached a very pleasant-for-February 61 degrees here yesterday and are predicted to duplicate the event for today. Then we move on up into the 70's for highs for the following SEVEN days.
Wow!
We are starting off the new week at 44 degrees here in the capital city and a light rain is falling.

Good morning ... kids and I are off today but they do have a dental cleaning today. Other then that nothing much going on. Think I might tackle some decluttering and get a jump start to my spring cleaning. Have a great day!

Good Monday morning! Another sunny day before we get three days of rain. At least that will help melt some of the snow. Yesterday Loki ate 4 paper cupcake wrappers. My in-laws had just left and our plates were on the coffee table. Left the room for a couple of minutes and came back to empty plates, not a trace of the wrappers in sight. Crazy dog seems fine, we're keeping an eye on him. He decided at 3am that he was thirsty and jumped off the bed and woke me up. I fell back asleep for about an hour and a half. This will be a long day. Hope everyone had a nice weekend and will have a good start to the week

Lucy would have been all over those cupcake wrappers too!! I'm sure he will be fine - the little stinker!! Have a good day Martine!

I am working today too!
The 2 houses on my street are still lit up and last night I saw that one of them still has their inside lights on around their mantle too!


LOL...Loki...I am sure he will be fine!! Leo would definitely be eating those too. Yesterday I caught him in my daughters' bathroom and he got into their garbage can and was chewing a q-tip and munching on toilet paper.

That is crazy you guys are still seeing lights up. Love it!!
What is it that dogs like so much about Q-tips?? Lucy is terrible!

My husband and kids are off today but I am working.
Looks like we will get some warm temps this week, the snow is already melting.
Tonight my husband is making spaghetti and meatballs.

Good Monday morning, Christmas friends!

It's Presidents Day, but we in the private sector still have to work. It's foggy and warm again. It's supposed to be in the mid-80's for at least the next 10 days. That's too cool to get in the pool, but too warm to keep it at the reduced chemical rate, so it's back to the pool store for me. Where's my winter?!

Good morning, Christmas friends! This morning finds me at home, drinking coffee, and enjoying President's Day off. However, I'm about to put a roast in the crockpot, clean up the house, and play outside. Today is the last day with no rain in the forecast for at least the next 10 days, so I'm going to enjoy it!

Those of you who are getting snow, stay safe. Those of you who are getting abundant sunlight....I hope you get a sunburn. I'm so ready for Spring.

Roast sounds good. Your house will smell amazing!! Maybe I'll have to stick one in the crock pot this week.
