Good morning MMC! Merry Friday Eve!!! Woke up to a dusting of snow this morning...and BRRRRRR!! Sun is (sort of) shining now! It's 25º, feels like 16º - that wind! Brrrrrr!!

Not much up today besides work. Tonight our new tenant is moving in for the weekend - Maggie the Great Dane! Our house is about to get smaller! It's going to be an interesting weekend!!

Some BIG branches came down in our yard; others are broken and dangling. Nasty, heavy stuff, the wet snow. I can hear it shifting on the roof, too. A news story I read yesterday called it "white mud" because of the heavy, sticky consistency.

MerryCarey, very sorry to read about the state of your area right now. Your description reminds me of the great freezing rain period we had in 1998, with trees bending under the weight of the ice accumulating. Hope the power stays on.

Me neither. But you know, I was watching a video on the weather channel, and it happens all the time in this kind of weather.

They had a video on there, to where they recorded a tree falling over onto the power lines, and the live wires fell on top the fire truck. Luckily, no one was injured.

Oh yikes! Glad no one was injured!!

March 20th is the very first day of Spring. That’s not very far off at all. Just 12 more days away.

But, looking at the National Weather Forcast, the discussions are saying we may get another nor’easter Sunday/ Monday! Stand by.....

Times a flying!! So many nor'easters lately!! Definitely doesn't feel like spring is near today! Brrrrr

Thank you! So far, the power has stayed on. We should be fine.
I think we're better off than you were with the ice, as the snow is beginning to slide off things it's sticking to.

Yes, Maggie stayed with us a few nights at the end of December. They got along well then. Fingers crossed! xx

Good morning. What a night last night! That was a really wild storm that hit us yesterday, I just loved it. I decided to stay at home again today, not because if the weather, but mostly because the schools are closed so The Mrs is home today.

I have no idea to how much snow we got yesterday, but, I can tell you, it was a lot. When we were out playing around in the snow last night, the visibility was down to like nothing, I could only see about 20 feet in front of the truck. That’s how hard and fast the snow was coming down, and the winds were like blowing the snow horizontally; it was Pretty neat!

Well, time to put the coffee on and watch the snow start to melt!

Have fun hanging with the wife and watching the snow melt!!

Good Thursday morning, Christmas friends!

I took Elizabeth to the doctor yesterday. It looks like she might have my bronchitis, and she's scheduled to sing in a school competition tomorrow. They gave her a couple shots and a couple prescriptions, so maybe that will help.

That’s are great description for it right now; it does feel like wet mud. Even last night when we were out playing around in it, we got out of the truck to take some pictures, and it was like stepping into a 8 inch deep slush mush mess. And it stuck to you like axel grease!

Stuck like axel grease? I’m glad I’m not cleaning it up!!

Good Afternoon .. This week has been crazy .. it should be Friday already. Had a snow day home yesterday and the kids had a half day due to the weather. Spent yesterday making soup and testing a new recipe - old fashion iced gingerbread. It tuned out really good. It was insane how fast the snow was coming down yesterday afternoon. Got about 3 inches in 4 hours and just like that the sun was out. At least the roads are clear today. Hope everyone has a great day!

Oh no, that stinks. Does that happen often in that area of town or is it a rarity?

Our lights flickered a few times last night, but we didn’t loose power. I thought for sure we would. My generator is packed away in my storage locker, so that would oc done us no good.

My wife looked outside the front door this morning and the next door neighbors tree split in half and fell over sometime during the night. We also had some flooding nearby too.

Still under a Winter Storm Warning. At least 9 inches of snow has fallen but that does not include all the snow after 8 this morning. Made paths for the cats and I am very sore. Great exercise!
