Christmas Countdown - 2018

Good morning MMC! It's FRIDAY!!!! We have 25º, feels like 17º & plenty of sunshine!! Looking forward to the time change late tomorrow/Sunday morning!

Soooo...our Great Dane house guest, Maggie arrived about 9:00 last night. Around midnight I carried Lucy down the steps to put her in her cage because the two dogs would not settle down! Going down the steps (I had socks on) my foot slipped out from underneath me and down I went, landed on my back/side/upper hip - Hurt like *^%$! *no dogs were hurt in this* - but then I go to bed and wake up stiff & sore as can be this morning! :mad::eek: Nothing is easy this morning. But the more I move around, the better it's feeling - with the help of Advil too! ;) Geesh - could be a long weekend! ;)

Does anybody have fun plans for the weekend? Miss Emma is coming to stay with Mom today. My FIL is picking her up as I type! Soooo looking forward to seeing her!! We are having fish dinners & veggie pizza at Moms for supper tonight before my brother takes her back home! I have to stay with mom for a few hours tomorrow early evening. Other than that I don't think we have many plans. I'm ok with that! :)

How exciting to see a house all decked out. Yesterday on the Rachael Ray Show Melissa Joan Hart had to play "which one is a lie" - one of her truths is that she still has her Christmas tree up. Rachael about had a fit. What's the big deal??? :D

Good Morning and Happy Saturday. Not much beats a Saturday morning does it? Well one thing that may is Crown's Countdown to the Christmas Season. And speaking of that, he is away this weekend so I am filling in for him. Let's take a look at the numbers just as Crown would.

Days to the Season: 248
Days to Christmas Day: 290

And now we can say that we are simply 5 days away until the next milestone which will see us to the 1/3 marker to the Christmas Season. That just sounds amazing doesn't it? And this morning we have the sun out here with chilly conditions but a warm-up is promised as we progress through next week. Maybe we've seen the last snowfall until the Christmas Season. That would be magical. Have a great and Sensational Saturday one and all!

Gooooooooood morning! We lost the State Championship Thursday, but I'm proud of how we competed. 31-2 is a heckuva year! Yesterday was spent buying groceries and watching college basketball...which is exactly what I plan to do today! I love this time of year and all the basketball that comes on.

Besides basketball, we got a birthday party! The little ones will all get to go jump in bouncy houses for a couple of hours, which means it will be a restful afternoon. Sounds good to me....as long as I am home at 3:00 to watch my Hogs!

Happy Sunday! I know this isn't Crown's favorite day of the year but we do need to spring ahead today. And we also need to look at the 2nd half of the weekend's countdown. Let's do that and set it up for Crown to return on Monday.

Look at that. We now are heading this coming week to the 1/3 marker to the season! I can't wait to see Crown bring us to that milestone as he has brought us to so many milestones over the years. Today we have some sunshine again as we're watching a storm coming Monday into Tuesday but the majority of the storm seems to want to go off to our East (please do). I hope you all enjoy your Sunday. Have a Super Sunday as Crown would say!
 
Merry Sunday MMC ~
It’s going to be sunny today with a high of 44 degrees. Not too much going on here. I already tidied up the house and started my Sunday sauce. Dinner will be raviolis, tomato & mozzarella salad and garlic bread. I have to run a couple of quick errands and then I’ll be working on the laundry. We’re going to catch up on some shows later this evening. That’s about it.

Another snowstorm on the way for us, the third in two weeks. We're still cleaning up branches and getting electricity restored from the last one around here! Everyone hoped it would go out to sea instead of coming up the coast, but I see this morning we're expecting 6 to 10 inches Monday night into Tuesday (although that could change as they fine-tune the forecast). I've had enough of winter!

One antidote, though ... we're making plans for a summer vacation, as we weren't able to take one last year.

Oh, that doesn't sound good. Praying it won't be as bad as forecast. Congratulations on planning a vacation!!
 
Merry Sunday!

The sun is shining, but it is very cold out. Only 12 degrees the last time I heard an update which was about an hour ago. Waiting for it to warm up so I can do a few things outside.

Last night I was unpacking the truck in the dark as I got home so late from work and errand running. For some reason, it really tired me out as I slept well for a change. Only the groceries were brought in, so later today I have to unpack the stuff I picked up at the thrift stores.

Palmer woke me up around my usual time so there was no sleeping in this morning. I think she was angry that I was gone so long yesterday. She missed me. :)

Speaking of Palmer, her treat jar has only a few treats left inside so she is on rations much to her dismay. She's been moping around the house this morning. Poor cat! The ones I ordered from Amazon (can't find them anywhere locally) were supposed to arrive Friday, but something happened that caused a delay so it is supposed to arrive on Monday. When she's the new package, she should be back to her mischievous self. :)
