Thank you! I hope so, too. We got a robocall from our electricity provider warning those without electricity to prepare for "multiple days without power," as they can't get around due to the heavy snow and roads blocked by fallen trees and branches. A really ugly storm. We're in the area with some of the deepest snow, but the worst winds and wetter snow are on the South Shore, and that's where they're losing power big-time.
Praying you all stay safe!!!

It's been snowing off & on all day. No real accumulations but it's pretty when it does come down....then the sun pops out, then it gets gray & snows like crazy again....crazy weather! I'm looking forward to getting home & chilling tonight - after a stop at mama's of course! :)
Everyone have a wonderful evening!
Continued prayers for all of you dealing with the nor'easter. Stay safe & warm!

The storm has now pulled on up and the biggest part is north of us. We may see some additional snow showers, but nothing major. We made it thru with no power issues.

I did though, have a hard time getting myself up back up and out of my bed, from my 2 hour nap. It’s a good day for that and even right now, Shiloh is curled up on my side, sound asleep.

Tomorrow is home inspection day on the home that we put a contract on. I’m super excited. I don’t expect any issues because the home is in such wonderful condition. After that comes the septic and well inspections, then the appraisal from the bank and then settlement.

We will be moving in around the end of April.

So soon! That's great!

The snowstorm has left me with a yearning for a cozy, winters night inside, all warm and snuggly. So, made a hot toddy of sorts for the Mrs and me:

Apple juice
Cranberry juice
Cloves
Cinnamon sticks
Nutmeg
ginger
Orange zest
Orange slices
Pineapple slices

It’s yummy and warms the spirit!

Oh wow Merry, you guys, sure did get a lot more snow than us. That’s awesome!

Your not going to believe this but there is chatter on the web, (Justin Berk) about another potential Nor’easter for next week!!!
Some of the weather forecasters mentioned that, but I hope that one misses us. There has been so much widespread damage and road blockages and folks doing without electricity for days...it’s time for the snowstorms to end.

Tonight smells like frost and reminded me of Christmas. It’s been so wonderful having snow and chill, but I do believe I will be ready for Spring when it arrives though! :) Looking forward to summer nights at the river and being outdoors a bit more comfortably. Hope everyone has a great night!!

Oh good grief! Someone told my wife that there are mountain lions in Connecticut! She’s having a tizzy with moving out from suburbia to the countryside.

Sure enough she went on the internet and there’s documented proof of mountain lions seen in mass and CT. one was killed by a car in CT and the dna test done on it, confirmed that it came from the black hills of SD. They call them transients, they are looking for mates and new territories.

How about all of that? I never would of guessed. They say that at one time, mountain lions were native to this area. I knew there were bobcats and black bears here, mountain lions; come on!

That is crazy that it went that far.

Trail cameras have caught a couple here along with a few black bear.

Bobcats are getting plentiful enough that they have started talking about opening them up for trapping next year.
