Good morning MMC! Merry Friday Eve!! Seems like the hours at work this week have been dragging but the week as a whole - I can't believe it's Thursday already! Love it! :) Kinda like the Luke Bryan song - I believe that days go slow & years go fast!

We didn't end up getting the rain we were supposed too yesterday! :( We got maybe 1/8". We sure could use some! But not today - I've got laundry on the line! Ha!

Mandy (Amish) made some cinnamon rolls yesterday that are pretty much out of this world!

Not much up for today except work!

Have a wonderful day MMC!

Sorry you did not get the rain. We got hammered here in Troy. It started around 3:30 and then took a break; but really cut loose around 7:00 and lasted until about 9:00. The are some reports of a small tornado in Troy that destroyed a barn, though it is not confirmed.

Good morning everyone.
Cloudy outside today, and everything is very wet from all of the rain yesterday.

Today is my wife's last day of school, with students anyway. She has a work day tomorrow for cleaning and such. Henry is heading over to a friend's house to set up a lemonade stand during a community garage sale. He will have a lot of fun.

I hope everyone has a great day!

Happy Friday Eve, MMC!!! It’s going to be a hot and humid one here again today. It’s offically the hottest May ever in Indy. Hopefully that doesn’t lead to the hottest June, July, and August too. I have some errands to run today and Mom’s cardiologist appointment is this morning. I hope everyone has a great day!!

Good Morning MMC !!

wow, so hot here, feels more like end of June than end of May. We are going to have a thunderstorm later today.

Off to work and after I drop her at school, off shopping with sone, then taking friend to visit her mom.

Hope you all enjoy this last day of May !!!
Stay cool & enjoy your day CS!!!

Merry Thursday MMC!
It’s going to be cloudy with showers today, highs around 66 degrees. Typical day of errands and chores. I’ll also be heading to the mall later this afternoon to shop for a birthday gift. Dinner will be chicken piccata, twice baked potatoes and roasted asparagus. That’s about it for me. Hope everyone is well! Have a wonderful day!
xx
Hope you stay dry while running your errands!! Have a great day HMG!

I saw on channel 7 there was some crazy weather in the area! I never heard about the possible tornado & destroyed barn. Glad you stayed safe!

We're supposed to be at 90º today too! I agree about the heat but I also hope the rain doesn't continue to miss us like it has recently all of June, July & August! (although we don't need rain like we had in June/July 3 years ago...whew!)
Have a great day made!
I hope your moms appointment goes well! xx

Good Morning, Folks.
Over the hump and down the slope!

And we are not only over the hump, we are nearly down to one, lone, single week to a major Milestone marker.

Today's numbers:
Days to the Season: 166
Days to Christmas Day: 208

And indeed, as of tomorrow, we will be down to a scant 7 days to the 200-Day Christmas Day Window and the launch of a double-100's count.
(Mark your calendars. ONE WEEK from tomorrow!)

The rain? Well, it just keeps coming with no let-up in sight. We are quite soggy indeed here, and the only critters who are enjoying it are the mosquitoes.
I'm afraid that will be the story on through the rest of this week before drier conditions return for Monday.
We are starting this day-before-Weekend Eve at 74 degrees here in the capital city of North Carolina.

Have a Thrilling Thursday, Everyone!

I hope you get the rain you need. It's been raining every day for two weeks here. Whew!

Good Thursday morning, Christmas friends!

Elizabeth is really getting into her role as Ariel in The Little Mermaid production. She takes her script everywhere she goes, and sings all day and night. She's going to be great!

I hope y'all have a great day! :D

Have a great day Brad!

My heart goes out to your wife, I know it’s not easy to be a teacher in this day and age. She deserves a big thank you for all that she does every day.

Sorry to hear you had a rough night. My daughter is a 6th grader and my best friend is a 6th grade math teacher and she tells me some stories and I smh at what some these kids do. I am chaperoning my daughter's field trip tomorrow and I am hoping it goes well..
Hope you both have a better day today!

How sad! I hope you both have a better day today!!

I have the greatest respect for teachers and the fortitude they show in dealing with what goes on in classrooms today---the full gamut from unruly "students" to school shootings. I wouldn't be able to take it, and I have a lot of admiration for those who do because they're dedicated to providing a quality education for the sake of those kids who want to learn. More power to your Mrs.!

I'm sorry a few disruptive kids are bringing your wife to tears. You're right; there are few consequences for bad behavior in school these days, and it emboldens some students to take advantage of it. Bless her heart, I hope it improves for her.

I'm sorry the Mrs. had such a rough day ~ praying things improve!

Thank you my friends for your support, your compassion, kindness and prayers for my wife. It is, truly, truly, very sad indeed.

What the teachers have to go thru, they earn every single penny of what they make, and even then, the teachers, they themselves, often end up working on their own free time, spending their own money and their reward is to be able to connect with some of the students, that actually want to learn and put forth the effort to doing so.

Well after all of that, the cardiologist said she thinks it’s just acid reflux causing spams giving Mom the pain. A few things popped up on the stress test (a bit of a leaky valve and some thickening of the heart wall) but they are on the low end of stuff to worry about. The heart is still functioning within normal range. So she gave Mom a reflux med to try for a month to see if that helps.
