Even mom’s new cardiologist runs an hour behind apperantly. I wonder if it has something to do with the building.
So frustrating!! Your time isn't valuable, I guess!! (That's how it makes ya feel sometimes!)

Well after all of that, the cardiologist said she thinks it’s just acid reflux causing spams giving Mom the pain. A few things popped up on the stress test (a bit of a leaky valve and some thickening of the heart wall) but they are on the low end of stuff to worry about. The heart is still functioning within normal range. So she gave Mom a reflux med to try for a month to see if that helps.
Praying the acid reflux meds are the answer! Mom has had a leaky valve for years & years, also A-fib, left bundle branch block...the list goes on. Praying your mom does well!! xx

Thank you my friends for your support, your compassion, kindness and prayers for my wife. It is, truly, truly, very sad indeed.

What the teachers have to go thru, they earn every single penny of what they make, and even then, the teachers, they themselves, often end up working on their own free time, spending their own money and their reward is to be able to connect with some of the students, that actually want to learn and put forth the effort to doing so.
And thank you to the teachers who go that extra mile!

Happy Friday Eve, MMC!!! It’s going to be a hot and humid one here again today. It’s offically the hottest May ever in Indy. Hopefully that doesn’t lead to the hottest June, July, and August too. I have some errands to run today and Mom’s cardiologist appointment is this morning. I hope everyone has a great day!!

Not a fun way to have a so called Spring; right. I sure hope summer doesn't end up like the May you have had. Stay cool!

I hope your Mom's appointment goes well made.

Just saw this. Hope the Acid Reflux meds work.

Maybe look into putting some 2x6's under her bed posts where her head rests. Just that little bit of an incline might help a little more with the Acid reflux when she's laying down. I did that for me when I was having some problems years ago with that and it did help me out.

It really is crazy how much teachers are asked to deal with these days. My neighbor is dating a lady who taught 5th grade for years at a catholic school. She said even there it was getting out of hand. So she was going to retire after this year. They talked her into staying though and to try teaching preschool next year. She now is rushing around trying to get everything she’ll need to do that because the other teacher is taking all of the stuff she had bought.

The cardiologist suggested she sleep inclined too. I already have her bed up on risers (Gotta put those Christmas trees somewhere) so I’ll have to see if it makes it unstable if I raise the head up a little more.

If it does, maybe try a wedge pillow? Or before mom had a hospital bed we took cushions off the couch & put them under her mattress up by her head.

I hope the meds can give her some relief. Praying for y'all!

66???? We’re back up to 90 again today!!

Enjoy your beautiful weather and have a great day, HMG!!

Hope you stay dry while running your errands!! Have a great day HMG!

Thank you both!
Made the temperatures have been fluctuating here. We’re supposed to hit 80 by Saturday then go back in to 50’s by Monday. I prefer it to be cooler so I won’t be complaining!

@MerryCarey - I just had to log on to tell you that I am sitting outside on our patio right now and I just saw my first firefly of the year! ❤️ And I've only seen one but surely there are more to follow, very soon !

Please do!! :)

My husband and I did go to the Midwest Vintage Holiday Show in Columbus last weekend. It wasn't huge which was fine with me because with my mobility issues I was nearing my "ok I need to sit down" point right when we got to the end! We saw so many beautiful old Christmas decorations: bubble lights, color wheels with aluminum trees, some of the prettiest Christmas china pieces I had ever seen, old stockings, old hard plastic decorations for outside. There was also quite a bit of Halloween, and I think I saw one or two tables with Easter decorations. Everything was so beautiful, but quite pricey. But after paying for parking, paying for admission for both of us to get in, and paying a $5.00 fee for using the ATM there, (plus what our bank charged us, grrr) I told my husband we HAD to buy something to justify it so I found two beautiful beaded ornaments that were $10.00 a piece but the man sold them both to us for $18. (I think he was taking pity on the sweaty lady with the cane, it was so HOT that day here in Ohio, even in the air!) I think this show may move about the country so if you happen to see that it will be in your area I would recommend it!!

Thanks for sharing that! It’s a nice summery evening here, and the only thing missing is fireflies.

We were out shopping to stock our new fridge. We lost most everything when the old one failed last week. The new one was installed today. I’m loving having an ice/water dispenser and an ice maker! And really appreciating having cold storage again!

Happy June MMC! I don't know how the heck it's June but it is! And it's Friday which is just as important. I say this sometimes but a 4 day work week makes me realize how crazy long a 5 day work week is cause 4 seems pretty long itself! Just going to the mall Saturday and smile at the fact we're more than Halfway to the Christmas Season when it will feel so different there. Everyone enjoy their TGIF!
