Happy First Day of August!
Looks like we may have some more humidity and storms today.
Typical work day for me and then my oldest has a soccer game tonight.
Hope you all have a great Pines Day! I am off next week so I am counting down the days!
How awesome to be off next week. Are you going anywhere? Have a great day!

Stay cool & safe in the storms today~
Hope your oldest has fun at her game!
How nice that you have the week off next week! Did you make any plans or is your plan to lay low and relax?

Bless her heart, I hope Lucy recuperates quickly! I hate it when Lulu spends the night at the vet, too.
Thanks Brad! I hope so too!! The vet office called earlier with her instructions. I'll miss her!

Good morning MMC!! Happy August! WOW! Back to school month. Seems impossible!!! Merry Pines Day too! I got up this morning & thought it was Thursday. I'm all confused this week! ;)

Tomorrow is Lucy's D-day! She gets spayed.:mad: My poor girl!! :( I took off work on Friday & I'll be meeting a friend at the lake tomorrow night to try to keep my mind off of it, since she has to spend the night at the vet!

Not much up for today besides work! Hope you all have a great day!!!

Good Morning, Holiday!
Happy Pines Day!!
Thinking of you & Lucy, friend. You will both be in my prayers <3
Glad you're meeting a friend at the lake tomorrow night.
Sending hugs, have a wonderful day!

Good morning. A few things on the to do list today. Meeting a friend for lunch and have a chance at a big job this afternoon. Fingers crossed.

There's a shop down the road which gives away free wood, so I picked up some old planks. I'll have to go and take the nails out, but I think they'll make some good birdhouses or maybe some rustic signs. We'll see.

It's supposed to be a bit muggy today. Very warm with a higher humidity. Can't wait for the cooler fall temperatures to come around.

Have a great day all.
Hope you get the job! Best of luck to you.

In class summer school ended last Thursday. Last night, I submitted my final marks for online marking summer school. It was one wild July, and the stress levels were extremely high. Thankfully, it's all done. Now, I can get back to the focusing on the important things in life, like Christmas!

Coincidentally, it's also August. As it's been said a few times today, we are only one month away from the "Ber" months! So exciting!

Although I am excited for the "Ber" months, I am more excited to have this entire month off. Being able to hang around the house with Simon and get my running/gym routines back on track should be great. I didn't fully fall off the rails for the past couple months, but I certainly couldn't keep up with my regular schedule.

And, of course, it will be great to be able to check-in with everyone here on a regular basis. I need this place. I miss you guys and I hope to have some wonderful conversations with you all again.

Happy August, everyone! Our time of the year is right around the corner!
Great to see you, Brent!
Enjoy your month off, and quality time with Simon!
Please give him a hug for me.
Have a wonderful day!!

Good morning all.

Another rainyish day here in my part of Ohio.

So yesterday is when Nathan actually left for Basic Training. Monday we took him to the recruiter and then he spent the night at a hotel in Columbus. Tuesday morning he was taken to MEPS for final processing. All of that went as scheduled. However, the weather yesterday was not cooperative. Nathan and about 40 other guys and gals were taken to the Columbus airport to fly near their Basic Training fort. Though Nathan was going to Fort Jackson, South Carolina he had to fly to Atlanta first and then had a layover before flying closer to Fort Jackson where a bus would pick him up and get him to the fort.
(Sorry for all of that background, but it will make sense now. ;))

So, Nathan sent me a text a 2:10pm saying he was at the airport and on the plane and leave at 2:28. The plan was an hourish flight to Atlanta and then his next flight was later and he would get to South Carolina at 6:45. There were 9 of them traveling together. At 3:50 he texted back saying that they had not left the ground yet! The storms were too bad. He finally landed in Atlanta at about 7:30, which meant they did not leave Ohio until about 6:30. Then, once in Atlanta, the 9 of them had to wait for a flight on standby. They finally got a flight at about 9:00pm. He said an army representative said that the storms affected over 700 soldiers who were trying to get to various Basic Training locations. Getting to Fort Jackson so late I am sure they got very little sleep after the evening/night in-processing session. What a crazy adventure trying to get to Basic!

It will probably be a couple days before I hear from him again. They usually get a phone call during the first week just to say they are there and ok.

Good Wednesday morning! Skies are grey and winds are picking up, they’re predicting rain and maybe thunderstorms later today. And then we’ll get another streak of high temperatures and high humidity. I don’t mind the heat but it really feels as if we have not gotten many breaks from the humidity this Summer.

Our store opening was a big success, we received so much positive feedback from customers, I’m very proud of all of our employees. I’m just glad it’s over and done with, as working a 14-hour shift mostly on my feet has taken its toll. I could barely get up this morning. I’m very lucky to have 2 days off to recuperate. Hope everyone will enjoy a great day!
Happy Pines Day, Martine!
Congrats on the success of your grand opening! That's wonderful!
Rest up these next few days, and take good care of yourself.
Hugs to you & Loki~

Good Wednesday morning, Christmas friends!

What a great Pinesday milestone, to know that the 'Bers start in a month!!

It rained all day, so I don't have any thing to report from yesterday LOL. I watched a lot of Netflix and Amazon Prime. I love watching those old Star Trek and Babylon 5 episodes, especially when I have the house to myself. :p

I hope y'all have a great day! :D
On the fancy new tv?! :)

Have a great Pines Day, Brad!

Aww....I am sure Lucy will do great and she will be back to her oldself in no time!!

Thanks SFM! That is what I'm hoping! xx ♥
Hate it when you are a day off - and not in the good direction!! I'd rather wake up on Wed thinking it was Tues! ;)
Have a great day!

Well, it is August. This is a busy month. School starts in 3 weeks. Football really gets going(speaking of Little League and High School mostly). We have some projects we want to complete around the house before school starts too. Hopefully by mid-August more stores will have fall/Halloween decor out.

And then starts the 'bers! :D
