Good morning MMC!! Happy August! WOW! Back to school month. Seems impossible!!! Merry Pines Day too! I got up this morning & thought it was Thursday. I'm all confused this week!

Tomorrow is Lucy's D-day! She gets spayed. My poor girl!! I took off work on Friday & I'll be meeting a friend at the lake tomorrow night to try to keep my mind off of it, since she has to spend the night at the vet!

Not much up for today besides work! Hope you all have a great day!!!

Bless her heart, I hope Lucy recuperates quickly! I hate it when Lulu spends the night at the vet, too.

In class summer school ended last Thursday. Last night, I submitted my final marks for online marking summer school. It was one wild July, and the stress levels were extremely high. Thankfully, it's all done. Now, I can get back to the focusing on the important things in life, like Christmas!

Coincidentally, it's also August. As it's been said a few times today, we are only one month away from the "Ber" months! So exciting!

Although I am excited for the "Ber" months, I am more excited to have this entire month off. Being able to hang around the house with Simon and get my running/gym routines back on track should be great. I didn't fully fall off the rails for the past couple months, but I certainly couldn't keep up with my regular schedule.

And, of course, it will be great to be able to check-in with everyone here on a regular basis. I need this place. I miss you guys and I hope to have some wonderful conversations with you all again.

Happy August, everyone! Our time of the year is right around the corner!

It is the 100-Day Season Window and it is now barely FOUR days off.
Scarcely over HALF A WEEK.
(Can this truly be true? Truly, it is!)

'Pines Day! First one of August. (Summer is slipping away, Foks.)
But at our inn of choice, Carl will see to it that we don't despair, with plenty of fired twinkies, gallons of iced tea sweetened to perfection and entertainment that can't be beat.

100 Days until the Season? Wow. I think that means there are only about 55 until the debut of the Most Wonderful Thread of the Year!

Summer may be slipping away for some, but mine is just getting started. I'm in full celebration mode tonight. Carl best have extra fired twinkies for me!

Good Wednesday morning! Skies are grey and winds are picking up, they’re predicting rain and maybe thunderstorms later today. And then we’ll get another streak of high temperatures and high humidity. I don’t mind the heat but it really feels as if we have not gotten many breaks from the humidity this Summer.

Our store opening was a big success, we received so much positive feedback from customers, I’m very proud of all of our employees. I’m just glad it’s over and done with, as working a 14-hour shift mostly on my feet has taken its toll. I could barely get up this morning. I’m very lucky to have 2 days off to recuperate. Hope everyone will enjoy a great day!

Good Wednesday morning, Christmas friends!

What a great Pinesday milestone, to know that the 'Bers start in a month!!

It rained all day, so I don't have any thing to report from yesterday LOL. I watched a lot of Netflix and Amazon Prime. I love watching those old Star Trek and Babylon 5 episodes, especially when I have the house to myself.

Good Evening everyone. I hope your day was a good one. I had a busy one myself, but it was good.
We had ordered a Whirlpool laundry center for our second floor and it came yesterday, Great right? Wrong! It arrived damaged in the box. So, today we had to go over to the Home Depot in another town and we ended up, purchasing another Laundry center that is made by GE instead.

The irony of the whole thing here is that when the Whirlpool arrived, we realized by mistake, that we purchased an HE washer. "Oh no, it's an HE washer (energy and water saver) with water sensing technology" and no by-passes to get around it to set your own water level as needed. That technology really stinks!

If you do not own a water saver/ HE washer, what happens is that they are designed to use less water. And most of them have no center agitator. The downfall of that is that your clothes do not come out fully cleaned and they get all twisted up in the washer; I know, I got one in the basement.

So, once we saw that it had water sensing technology, we almost died. However, since it arrived damaged, it had to go back to the store and we will get our money back for it.

With getting the GE model, it has 4 water settings, that you can by-pass the built-in water sensor and adjust the water level yourself to small, medium, large and super fill Yes!!! 4 settings to add as much water as you need per the size of your load in the washer and it has a center agitator.

In the end, we made out, so much better than how we origionally started out the day before. We are all happy and we will get our new laundry center next week.

Merry Pines Day!!

So glad to be halfway through the week. The weekend is in sight!

My Mom texted last night & said that Jazzie had a good day. So happy to hear that.
They are heading up north to my aunt and uncle’s cabin tomorrow, and should have gorgeous lake weather for the week!

Rain and storms on the forecast for this afternoon. Hopefully it eases up by early evening, so we can get a long walk in with Harlowe.

After work we are off to London for the day, my eldest's annual appointment with the specialist.
Of course we will hit all the thrift stores and see what treats we can find, hopefully something special for Christmas.

My middle one has off today so she’s going to keep me company. We’re going to grab pizza for lunch. We’re also making baked ziti for dinner and we’re thinking about baking something this afternoon. I’m going to browse recipes on Pinterest. Other than that I’ll be working on my daily chores. That’s about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day. See you tonight!

Happy August MMC! Just 1 month till the Bers. Geez. Well let's enjoy August and the rest of summer too. It's been a humid one here mostly and rainy too. Halloween stuff will really be out in the stores this month now. Just amazing we're almost back to our time of year again. Hope you all enjoy your 1st day of August!

Good morning. A few things on the to do list today. Meeting a friend for lunch and have a chance at a big job this afternoon. Fingers crossed.

There's a shop down the road which gives away free wood, so I picked up some old planks. I'll have to go and take the nails out, but I think they'll make some good birdhouses or maybe some rustic signs. We'll see.

It's supposed to be a bit muggy today. Very warm with a higher humidity. Can't wait for the cooler fall temperatures to come around.

Every season here brings its problems.
Fall: Leaves to rake.
Winter: Ice, snow, freezing temps.
Spring: Pollen

But, I wouldn't trade it for life anywhere else!
Today's installment commences here in the capital city at 75 degrees, with the promise of more rain.
