Thanks Crown! Happy Columbus Day!Good Morning, Home Stretchers!
That's where we are in case you missed it yesterday.
The final, home stretch to Christmas Season 2018, now that we have passed the ninety percent point.
The numbers keep declining before our very eyes.
They are starting to dwindle down into a.......well, you know.
Days to Halloween: 23 (Three weeks from the day after tomorrow!)
Days to the Season: 36 (Five weeks from tomorrow!)
Days to Christmas Day: 78 (Eleven weeks from tomorrow!)
As for Milestones.
Well.
The pure and simple fact is, there are none left now between us and the start of the Season on Nov 13!
The humidity just has not quite left us yet, and it still felt like summer yesterday.
Today shows a high in the mid 80's with a 20 percent chance of precipitation and we begin this new week at 72 degrees, here.
Have a Marvelous Monday, Everyone!
Congratulations to your daughter!!Hello all
Well, back for another season at this merry site. I can't help it, as soon as the weather gets chilly, and here in upper Michigan it's already chilly, and you can feel just a hint of The Season in the air, well it just makes sense to come back to this site!
I don't post a whole lot, but I really do like reading all of your posts. You truly are Christmas brothers and sisters-in-arms. We get each other, and we don't even know each other, how awesome is that??
Speaking of awesome, my daughter is due Nov 7, so this Christmas will be my first as a grandfather!
Can't wait!
(wasn't it just a few Christmases ago that I was but a mere child who became infatuated with this wonderful season we call Christmas??? Where DOES the time go??)
Have a great Sunday, all.
Wow!! I'd love to those temperatures!!Working here as well, down to the 30s already in the evenings. Perhaps snow early this year
Lucky you!!
The last time I was on a pontoon, we rented one on a lake in the NC mountains. We were in the middle of this huge lake, when a storm surprised us from behind the mountains. It started flooding, then hailing! There ain't no getting away from that! LOLGood morning MMC! And Happy Thanksgiving to our Canadian friends!! I hope you all enjoy the day to the fullest!!
It was a nice (and warm) weekend here. We didn't do much all weekend. I stayed at the lake Friday night - there weren't many people up, but our neighbors came to visit. Jim went to our high school football game. I had to be at moms by 6:45 Sat. morning. Stayed with her until about 1pm. Went back to the lake to watch the Buckeyes. We had fun with friends...then a storm rolled in. Thank goodness we weren't on our pontoon...but our friends were. They got stuck in it & Jim had to go rescue them. He said they were drenched!! Yesterday we watched the Browns & the Bengals. That's about it.
Oh - @nmc42088 I received "Winter Street" in the mail on Friday. I started it yesterday. I'm on page 40 something & it's been good so far!! Thanks for the recommendation!![]()
It's supposed to be hot & muggy again today. High of 86. Looks like a cool down coming on Thursday with a high of only 59! Then we start with lows in the 30's. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Everyone, have a great day!!

Sounds like a great tradition!!Mmmmmboy ... today was the Fall Ball at the office. One of our employees made a huge batch of meatballs and sauce and tossed salad, and provided bread for meatball subs. It's an annual tradition here. So-o-o good!
Sounds like a fun, fall, Christmassy day!!I took a day off yesterday & took Mom & DD shopping for our annual Fall outing. Mom got some more of her Christmas shopping done. We drew names for stocking exchange too. Now I have an idea of things to look for. I need to ask what our nieces & nephew would like for Christmas so I can get started on those purchases too. Tis the season!
As for Milestones.

My hubby use to snowmobile in the U.P. & other areas of Michigan, but usually later/early in the year. Crazy to think there is talk of snow!!!Not unusual to have snow this early in the U.P. or even in upper lower Michigan.
Down here in mid-Michigan there is talk of snow before Halloween.![]()
