I hope everyone is doing well on this somber September 11th morning. It’s a day of remembrance for those who gave and lost their lives. I know none of us will ever forget.
It’s going to be another cloudy and rainy day. Not too much going on here, I have to do some food shopping this morning. Other than that I will be working on the laundry. Dinner will be tacos.
I tried to do some decorating last night and I had a difficult time with Rocky. He is a very high strung puppy and decided he wanted to attack everything I took out. It was very frustrating. I decided my Autumn decor will be light this year. I ended up putting out a few things in places he couldn’t reach. It might be for the best because I’ve kind of been overwhelmed with my daughters wedding plans, it will be good to simplify. I am worried about how Rocky will be with my Christmas trees. Hopefully he’ll eventually calm down.
I hope everyone has a nice day.
xx
What a little stink pot - that Rocky!! ♥ I know it's frustrating & I'm sorry...but that made me LOL!!! I can just picture him!! so cute!!
Hope you are having a great day!!

Good Morning, Hurricane Hunters.
Watchful, we are. Ever watchful. This monster of a storm grows more menacing by the day.

But the show goes.
Here is the latest:
Days to the Season: 63
Days to Christmas Day: 105

Well, now. A scant FIVE days remain until we reach the 100-DAY CHRISTMAS DAY Window and the start of a double, double-digit count.
(Moving right along at a brisk pace!)

The weather? Well, what can I say. We wait and worry.
Got all our supplies in place for the inevitable loss of power. Just hope we don't get any pine trees down on our house!
Had a brief thunderstorm last night (unrelated to Florence) but today has dawned clear and calm, belying the storm to come.
Our reading is 70 degrees here in central NC.

Have a Terrific Tuesday, my Friends!
Stay safe crown!! Sending prayers your way!!

I haven't yet found an "ugly" Christmas sweater that I'd like. I've searched online and they're often on the sketchy side (reindeer ... uh, coupling and stuff like that). I'd just like to find out with a wild, Christmassy pattern. Just can't hook up with one.

I found this sweatshirt YEARS ago at a K-mart!! I just can never get rid of it!! (wish I had a better picture!!) I call in my Christmas Eve sweatshirt!! (I only wear it during the day b/c it's too warm w/ all of our family together to wear long sleeves on Christmas Eve night! You can't really tell from the picture, but most of the sweatshirt is a picture of bears ice skating at a skating rink. I'll have to get a better pic!! My brother rolls his eyes every year!!!

He always says "I hope you don't REALLY think that is a cool shirt!!" Ha ha ha!!

Happy Tuesday, Holiday!
Glad that you had such a fun time at the game, even though it was a really wet one! It sounds like you had a great time at your friends house, too! :)

Your day off sounds productive! What kind of soup did you make?
Hope that the drama stops soon, so frustrating. I hope Mom #2 gets along great with her new aid.

Sending hugs! Have a great day!
Good morning friend!
I made Ham & Vegetable soup. It was my Dads specialty! Love it ~ makes the house smell so good!! I'm bringing a container to our neighbor across the street who lost her dad a few weeks ago - our neighbor 1 street over who lost his dad a couple weeks ago - and a container to our friend who just had surgery! I made a double batch, so it was a FULL 8 qt. pot!! Hopefully there will be a little left for us too! ;) I'm also going to make another double batch of cheesy corn bread after work to divide up & bring along w/ the soup!

Who knew the Amish have so much drama?? LOL! ;)

I hope you are having a wonderful day!!! Give that sweet Har a hug from us. Keeping you all in my prayers!!

Good Tuesday morning, Christmas friends!

9/11 will always be remembered, but what's striking to me is how quickly the intensity of emotions can return. I turned on the news this morning, and the videos of the towers took me right back to that day. I didn't anyone who was directly affected by that attack, but we were all indirectly affected. Never forget.

In other news, I didn't find any ticks after my trek through the woods yesterday. I'm sure Lulu appreciates me not bringing those to the house.

I hope y'all have a great day! :D
It's amazing when seeing the videos from that day, how it takes you right back. Just like it was yesterday!
Hope you are having a great day Brad! Glad to hear you are tick free.

Thank you, Holiday. I have to admit that the blues still have me, when I'm not working or otherwise distracted. Hopefully time will take care of that.
I hope every day gets better! But it's ok to take time to grieve/let things sink in!! (((HUGS))) Keeping you both in my thoughts & prayers!

Please pray for North Carolina and South Carolina with the pending Hurricane heading their way.

Many prayers being sent that way!! xx My Aunt/Uncle are in NC! Praying they will be ok too!

Thanks for the well wishes, everyone. We are continuing to monitor Florence.
The track has been shifting a bit to the west after landfall. Our local TV station continues to emphasize heavy rains and flooding in central NC but so far, they are keeping sustained hurricane force winds away from our immediate area.
The cottage? Being at ground zero, the only bright spot there is the insurance!
I very much doubt it could sustain CAT 4 or even CAT 3 winds. We are already mentally reconciled to loosing that.

Ohh, Crown ... so sorry to hear that. I hope that somehow that just won't happen.

My morning back to work went pretty quick - now I hope the afternoon does too! ;) Then it can slow down for the evening! Ha ha!! ;)

I hope you all are having a great day too!

@xmastidings - this is from my friend about the zucchini boats...

slap some butter in the boat and roll it in aluminum foil with some salt and pepper & brown sugar...I think you can grill it for about a 1/2 hour or so...I just do it long enough till it’s soft. I put honey on ours too...

I know that's kind of vague, but I don't think you can go wrong! :)

Come on over everyone!! :D I can make more!! ;)

Good afternoon/evening prancer

It happens to me all the time. I find a few minutes to drop in and post what's happening in my life or just something silly, and I don't always get a chance to thoroughly read back. I've put my digital foot in my digital mouth around here more than once, and I appreciate you guys not holding it against me.

Your all Good! I'm in the same boat as well, so hand me an oar.

(Just my thoughts here only), is that our own personal lives, (our family, friends, job, church and health, etc.) has to come first. We are all friends here, there's no doubt about that, and we share so many common interests, and some of us, even feel, as though, we are a family, in a special way. I believe that's because we all care about each other, and what happens in every ones life here. With that, we are also, a very large family, and it is truly, so difficult, for all of us to keep up with what transpires in everyone's life, every single day/ week/ month of the year. Don't worry, because in our hearts, we do know, that you are all our friends and we know that you do truly care, because you are one of us; a family!

Your friend!
