Good morning and Happy Rudolph’s Day. It was a tad chilly in the house this morning, so for the first time, I turned the furnace on to warm it up. This is the first home I’ve owned that has baseboard hot water heat. So I’ll see how it does.
We have that sort of heat ... it does pretty well, but I think you have to bleed the little valves in the baseboard units once a year or so. And there's usually a "warm end" and "cool end" of the house: the warm end is where the water loop starts, and the cool end is where it ends. Takes longer for the water to circulate to the end of the loop. And you may hear gurgling and maybe a little knocking as the water starts to circulate. Anyway, that's been our experience.

Happy Tuesday!

The heat came up this morning---it was about 49F outside. But it's supposed to go up to 80 tomorrow. Ugh.

And happily, the bright outdoor lights next door went out by 10 p.m. last night, hooray! We left a phone message, and it looks like they got it. Slept better last night!

This morning I decided I wanted to share with everyone why I was MIA from the forums for the majority of last year and this year.
I know I shared that at the end of 2016 right after Christmas my grandma had surgery. The surgery went well but she never really fully recovered from the anesthesia, which caused some problems with her memory. We thought it would get better but it did not. In February she spilled hot soup on herself and suffered burns, which required extra care. In April she fell and broke her hip and had to have additional surgery to replace her hip. My moms family needed lots of extra help once she came home. We thought recovery was going great for most of the summer. It was pretty much determined that she had dementia due to her behavior, but because we could never get her out of the car to get her to see a neurologist there was never an official diagnosis. In September, my parents, aunt and uncles decided that hospice was the best decision for her care. After 4 days in hospice she passed away peacefully on the morning of my best friends wedding. The anniversary of her death just passed which is why I felt the need to share. A year later we are in a much better place than we were last year.
Also during the time frame things were happening with my grandma we were dealing with all the aftershocks of the death of Mike's cousin.
Thank you for reading everyone xx

It’s going to be raining here all day and possibly into tomorrow. When I got home yesterday evening, I pulled out a couple of tarps from the shed and I covered up my wood piles to keep everything dry so as it will be good to go for when I will need it this winter.

Well, my morning coffee is a calling me.
Merry Rudolph Day!!
It sounds like you're all set for the Fall & Winter seasons~
Stay cozy, and enjoy your coffee!!

Good Tuesday morning! Rain is moving in for the next couple of days. So Fall goes. Right now the three of us are curled up on the couch under blankets, it's nice and cozy. The surgeon David saw yesterday has put him on a waiting list for arthroscopic surgery. The surgeon considers 2/3 of a tendon torn to be a small tear but after some tests he determined he needed surgery. He has another appointment on October 22nd. I'll go with him this time because I have a ton of questions for the surgeon. I'll keep hoping that his shoulder will continue to improve and he won't need surgery. I'm working the afternoon/evening shift and have a few things to get at the grocery store but for now I just want to stay under the blankets with Loki sleeping in between us. Enjoy your day everyone!
Happy Tuesday, Martine! Merry Rudolph Day!
Your morning sounds so nice and cozy.
Keeping David, and you in my thoughts. Prayers continue to flow your way!
Have a blessed day~
Hugs to you & Loki!

Hello all:) It's colder here too, very windy but sunny.
Good Morning, *Snowflake*! Enjoy the sunshine, and have a merry day!

Happy Rudolph Day!! A rainy day today and my oldest daughter is supposed to have a soccer game tonight but I have a feeling it will be canceled. I will definitely be listening to some Christmas music today and maybe watching a show, we'll see...hope you all have a great day!
Happy Rudolph Day, SFM!
I hope the rain lets up in time for your daughter's game, and early enough the field to dry out. Enjoy your Christmas music, and have a great day!!

Good morning MMC ~
Merry Milestone Day!!!
It’s pouring out right now. I wanted to do some food shopping but I’m not sure if I want to venture out. I’ll see if it lets up after I finish my cup of coffee. I’m going to visit my youngest later this afternoon, I picked her up a few things for the apartment and I want to drop everything off. Other than that I’ll be working on the laundry. Season premiere of This is Us is on tonight, can’t wait. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!!!
xx

Good Morning, HmG!

Thank you, SFM!
She is hanging in, still having a difficult time adjusting to Adrian's new schedule but doing pretty well otherwise.

How are Leo and Andre?

I can't wait to watch it too!! One of my favorite shows on TV.
Have you seen the commercials for A Million Little Things? That looks really good too, it premieres tomorrow night on ABC.
Have a great day, HMG!

I have seen those commercials! I agree, it looks really good. I have to try and remember to watch it! Hope you’re having a nice day so far!
