Well a day that started at 5am and saw me driven nearly crazy by road construction and heavy storms by 8am ended on a high note followed by rain so heavy I couldn’t see as I turned into the hotel for the night. Kinda fitting it ended the same way it started I guess. Hitting the road early tomorrow morning for Amish country in northern Indiana then back home.

Bronner’s is overwhelming for a Christmas addict. There is so much to look at. You could spend days checking out all the ornaments. It’s beautiful to drive around at night too with all the light displays. (Watch the blossoms thread for plenty of pictures)

@Meceka wish I could have set up a meeting with you. I wasn’t sure we were coming though. Heck, I almost turned around three times this morning it was storming so bad. Hopefully next time I’ll be up here more than 20 hours.
Hope you're having a fun time in Amishville & all your travels are safe!!!
Can't wait to see your pics!!!!

Good Pines Day MMC! We had a ton of rain yesterday (like 4 inches) and now everything is trying to dry out. It's actually mild, even warm this morning and feels like summer. But it won't last long as the temps drop by 10 degrees tomorrow and a nice weekend ahead is predicted with high 60s and mostly sunny. Have a great day!
I hope the 4" of rain didn't cause any problems!! xx
Merry Pines Day!

Good Morning, Good Morning, my Friends!

Now that the 3/4 mark has been passed for both of our counts, there are only TWO Milestones left for 2018. (Details will follow today's count.)

Our daily numbers:
Days to the Season: 48
Days to Christmas Day: 90

OK!
Sit down and hold on real tight to your reigndeer reigns for the next marker, or you just might swoon.
On October 7, just ELEVEN days from today's date, we will reach the NINETY PERCENT mark to the Season and enter the "Home Stretch" run!
(How can we possibly be at this point so soon??)

We warmed up again yesteday but remained rain-free.
Might not be so lucky today, with a 50/50 chance of precipitation in the forecast.
We have begun this mid-week day sunny, with a temperature reading of 69 degrees.

Well, it's the last 'Pines Day of September and the first 'Pines Day of Autumn.
Will Carl be conflicted? Show up to see.
One thing that will not be in doubt though, is the availability of those delicious fired twinkies and that delectible sweet southern iced tea.

Have a Wonderful Wednesday, Everybody!
Looking forward to the Pines tonight. Still hard to believe it's the last one of Sept & the 1st of Autumn. Crazy, crazy!
Have a good day crown!

Happy Hump Day!! We had so much rain, like Edge mentioned. A few schools have closed due to flooding. We had a fire last night and it was so relaxing. It is pretty humid today, with a high of 79 but they said fall temps are back for the weekend. Typical work day for me today and Friday night we are hosting the "pasta party" for my oldest daughter's soccer team. They have them here and there throughout the season..the night before games. We have 16 girls coming over so I am going to start cleaning a bit tonight. My husband is making all the food and I will assist him..:D
Hope you all have a great day!
How fun for the girls. Good luck with all the prep!
Have a great day SFM!

Good Wednesday morning, Christmas friends!

I'm about to go into a meeting, and after the meeting I have to go into a meeting. Ugh. I should be through meeting by lunch, I hope. Tomorrow they'll want to know why I didn't get more done, I bet LOL.

I cooked omelets last night for us and Nancy's parents. Not bad, if I do say so myself!

I hope y'all have a great day! :D
Hope your meetings went well today!
Breakfast for supper ~ sounds great!!
And you have a great day!!

Good morning everyone!
We woke up to another almost summer like day. They say the high will hit 84 and be humid. Later there is a chance for some severe weather and tomorrow it will be cooler with high of 69. Nothing too special on the agenda today. Carolina and I andre going to Hobby Lobby to get a fall craft to do. I am also going to see if i can find a small craft she can make for Christmas
Hope you had a great time at Hobby Lobby & found some fun things!!
Have a great day nmc!

Rain!!!! Oh my goodness, did it ever rain yesterday and its still raining. Folks, I kid you not, I have a brand new Gorilla Cart that I bought to pull with my tractor, and its just about completely full with water. That's about 12 inches deep. I went and gave the attic a through check and the basement last night to check for any water leaks, I had 1 in the basement, a small one. I will have to fix that at a later date when the ground is dryer on the outside and then I can dig down along the foundation of he house and apply some waterproofing to that area.

I left for work this morning, but I didn't get too far, there were several roads blocked that were either flooded, partially washed out or there were trees down across the roadway. I had to turn the truck around and I went back home. I will give it another try in a few hours from now. It seem liked last night, that we were getting some kind of tropical weather. Crazy weather!
Oh yikes. Hope you stayed safe if you ventured out again! Sounds crazy!!

Merry Pines Day MMC ~
We’re expecting showers/storms today with temperatures in the upper 70’s. Not too much going on here, it will just be a typical day of errands and chores. I’m heading out soon, I need to pick up a couple of things at the pet store. I also have to stop at the post office to mail something and then Rite Aid to pick up a prescription refill. And I’m going to stop at the pasta shop while I’m out to pick up raviolis for dinner. Back home afterward to work on my daily chores. I guess that’s it. I hope everyone is well. Wishing all of you a great day. See you tonight!
xx
Hope you stayed dry when you were out & about!!
Have a great day HMG!!

I am so jealous of all of you who are experiencing cooler weather already. In Georgia we are still in the low 90's everyday! :(
I hope you get the cooler weather you are waiting for soon!!

Another 'Pines Day, another day closer to the Christmas Season. Oh, and, of course, another day closer to the debut of the Blossoms thread. How magical has the 2018 Christmas Season been budding in front of your very eyes? I can't wait to see!

I hope everyone has had a great week thus far. Last night, I had a busy evening with planning, hockey, and dodgeball. I felt as if I had won at all three things - in fact, we did win at hockey and dodgeball and I completed my planning, too!

It's a sunny but windy day in Ottawa. Temperatures are forecasted to hit the upper 20s/low 80s with humidex. Aside from today (and possibly Friday) we should have no more above seasonal days in our forecast. Bring on the cool, autumn weather, and the everlasting smell of fired twinkines.

On that note, I'll see everyone at the 'Pines!
Congrats on the wins!!
Have a great day Brent!

Wow that's really hot. I live in Croatia close to the sea and we had really warm summer but finally temperatures are dropping, right now is 17c.

Btw Happy Wednesday everyone
Happy Wednesday to you!!! :)

We have a "soft frost" warning Friday night into Saturday morning. Any one with tender plants outside has to cover them with a sheet/blanket or they will be done for.
Oh yikes! Hard to imagine!!! Not ready for that yet - though my allergies are. LOL

Hobby Lobby had so much Christmas out. It was fun to look at but I wasn't able to get any pictures. I will probably have to go back when Carolina is in school. We got a stained glass Halloween kit to work on. Carolina already painted them all. Tonight she has her first bible club at church. I will take my nook to read while I'm waiting for her
Sounds like a great trip to Hobby Lobby. Gotta love seeing Christmas things out!!! Hope Carolina's 1st bible study goes well.

Good afternoon MMC!! Merry Pines Day!! I'm finally at my "old" job now! What a morning it was!! We had a crazy storm come through in the middle of the night. We were out of electric from 1:30am to 3:30 am. We had to fire up the generator so the sump pump would run. We had over an inch of rain in a short period of time. So needless to say, none of us got much sleep at all! Took some extra coffee this morning! ;)

I hope you are all having a GREAT day!!!!
Yikes! Storms everywhere. Glad you stayed safe, sorry to hear you lost power.
Hope you sleep more peacefully tonight~
Have a great evening, friend!!

That's what I'M talking about! It was 94° at lunch. Whew!

Good afternoon, MMC~

Hope you're all having a nice Pines Day!

Speaking of pines...we had a large pine tree fall on our property from last Thursday's storm. I had to do some digging on the county website, but it ended up falling from city property, and they removed it promptly. We're just relieved that no one was hurt, and that it missed the house.
In case the city wouldn't have been so neighborly, our friends/neighbors on our cul de sac were ready to help. We are quite blessed.

I called to check in on my Mom last night, and Dad answered. He said that she was on her first outing in over a week and a half, at a quilt guild meeting. Yesterday was a decent day for her <3 She finished her antibiotics, we are praying that good days and healing continue. Thanks again for the prayers for her.

Fall weather has arrived in Wisconsin. We went from 70's to 40's in 24 hours. So from average temps to below average very quickly. It was chilly last night on our walk, with rain and winds. It made firing up the fireplace feel even cozier.

Wishing you a merry rest of your day! See you tonight.

That’s so scary about the pine tree falling, thank God no one was hurt and it missed the house!
I’m very happy to hear that your mother is on the mend. I hope she’s back to feeling 100% soon.
Thoughts and prayers for you, Adrian and Harlowe, I hope you’re all doing well! ❤️

Thank you! ♥️

Glad to hear it!
We are having a nice night, as well!!

I'm glad you finally made it up here. Looking forward to seeing the pictures!!

Have a merry evening!
