Happy Tuesday MMC! Sorry to hear the news from Coach on yet another shooting. Just terrible news. It's a warm morning here for early October. Still running my a/c a little here and there this week. It's mild enough during the day still and at night cools off just to make you feel mostly comfortable. Good time of year. Have a great day!

What a sad 30 hours it has been....

Got a call late yesterday afternoon that 4 of our students were involved in a shooting. Spurred our district leadership team into high swing as we started piecing together what happened, who was impacted, and how to best set up school for the day. That took us through about 11:00 last night, then we hit the door early this morning. School assembly, counseling, visits with police, parents, etc...

I'm drained.

I've never been as sad as I am, now. You get attached to these kids, love on them, try to help them....and when they start shooting at each other, you are exactly sure how to respond.

I don't know who you talk to when you go to bed at night, but if you don't mind...say an prayer for ol'Ballcoach's kids. Some of them are in a really sad spot.

It’s always so sad when you see such a horrible event on the news, I can’t imagine how hard it must be for the families and the community involved. I am sending positive thoughts to everyone affected by this terrible news ballcoach.

I can't believe we are in October already!? Wow!!
Winter is coming, and we are expecting the first snow any day now.

I have not been feeling so good the last six months
Tried some new medizine (for my chronic migraine/headaches)
but they just got me extremely tired and depressed
I spend almost all summer in bed.
So I'm off any medications, which I like best.
(but i
I just have to learn to live with the pain I guess.
I definitely don't want to try any more meds..

Today it's sunny and 33 F, and I hope to get out in the woods later this afternoon.
I always feel good out in the nature. Best medicine, and with no side effects!

But I have missed you guys. And I miss beeing here daily.
You are always in my thoughts and prayers
I will now, try to catch-up here!

And I hope YOU have a wonderful day my friend

Happy Tuesday!
It’s going to be mostly cloudy today with a high of 75, storms later tonight could be heavy at times. I’m going to do some food shopping this morning. Back home afterward to work on my daily chores. I also plan on going to Hobby Lobby later this afternoon. I’m making a wishing well for my daughters bridal shower and I have to pick up some decorations. Dinner will be tacos. I guess that’s it.

Good Morning, Holiday-O-Holics!

Addicted we are indeed to our Season of choice and all of its various and sundry joys.

Proceeding along then, we but take another look at the ever-declining count numbers:
Days to Halloween: 29 (Four weeks from tomorrow!)
Days to the Season: 42 (Six weeks from today!)
Days to Christmas Day: 84 (Twelve weeks from today!)

And the ninety percent, Home Stretch mark to the Season?
Well, it's now a scant FIVE days up ahead!
(Really moving, now.)

Nice weather here yesterday, with low humidity and temps in the 70's.
Just about as good as it gets for early October around here.
Today and tomorrow are supposed to be similar, before the humidity starts to build back in again for Thursday.
We begin this second day of the work week at 64 degrees here in the capital city.

Have you tried chiropractic? Just a thought.
It has really helped me over the years, and I was able to eventually stop taking both migraine medications.

SIX Days? Does that mean we'll be celebrating the next Milestone on the very same day that I will be indulging in delicious Thanksgiving turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, and all the other fixings?! I can't wait!

Merry October, everyone!

I love this time of year. It seems there is something to look forward to every week. We celebrate our Thanksgiving this upcoming weekend. Then, my dad will be coming up a week after that. And, of course, who can forget the fact that all the Halloween specials will soon follow after the end of the month? Lastly, who will see the first Christmas commercial? I used to always see it about a week before Halloween. As of late, however, I think the networks have done an excellent job delaying the Christmas advertisements until shortly after the kids have enjoyed their Trick-or-Treating.

Either way, I look forward to experiencing the suspense of the first Christmas commercial of the Season. I also look forward to everyone sharing their experiences, too!

Spotted my first Christmas billboard of the season on the morning drive to work. It was a Stella Rosa ad encouraging us to "Stellabrate all season long." There was a purple snow ornament in the lower left corner and a bottle of product taking up 20% of the board's right side. However, it was far too early in the day to follow their advice.
