Christmas Countdown - 2018

It’s snowing! We got a couple of inches, kind of unusual for Iowa this time of year. But I love it. My daughter and I took a walk in it and now I’m on the porch swing with some coffee and I’m listening to some Christmas music watching it snow. It’s magical!
A tough loss for the Bear's today, that one hurts. What's the cure? Yardwork and Chili!!! Beautiful day in Chicago sunny mid 50's.
Thanks Crown! Halloween is right around the corner!
Do you mind sharing what area you're from? I'd love it if we could keep the cold trend going around here!

I hope everyone had a great Sunday. Some of Mikes parents trip was ruined by Hurricane Michael because they were in Busch Gardens and Williamsburg. We spent the day relaxing and ended up having Elios pizza for dinner. Carolina spent all day playing with her babies there. Mike played the newest Dragon Quest game on his PS4 and had me try Persona 3 on his Vita and I really just wanted to read

Merry Monday!
It’s going to be cloudy today with spotty showers and a high of 67 degrees. Typical day for me of errands and chores, plus lunch with my mother. We’re having beef stew for dinner, I’m going to throw everything in to the crock pot as soon as I finish my cup of coffee. I hope everyone has a nice day and a wonderful week ahead!!!

Good Morning, Friends!
A new week. And can you believe that we are almost half way through October, already?
The count helps us confirm this:
Days to Halloween: 16 (Two weeks from the day after tomorrow!)
Days to the Season: 29 (Four weeks from tomorrow!)
Days to Christmas Day: 71 (Ten weeks from tomorrow!)
(And the journey just gets more and more exciting, as we move into the final phases of our voyage.)
Downright chilly here yesterday, and I wore a jacket all day.
Going straight from summer weather to late fall conditions is rather common here.
But today should see us back into the low 80's, albeit for just the one day.
Currently, we see a temperature reading of 60 degrees, here.

All this talk of snow! It's no where near snowing in south Georgia, but it WAS 55° Saturday morning! I could hold my breath for a few seconds and let it out slowly, and I could see my breath!! Now that tickled me LOL.
I worked most of the day Saturday cleaning up limbs from the storm. The scale at the landfill said I left 3/4 of a ton, and I have that much more to take. I spent the rest of the day working on props for Elizabeth's upcoming play at school. I have a few more days of work to do on that.
It's supposed to be up around 90°F for a few days, then down to the 70's for the weekend. Come on Friday!!

Merry Monday! Typical work day for me and my daughter has a soccer game and my other one has her first basketball practice. Looks like a dreary day but def fall temps. I heard we may get our first freeze on Thursday night. Hope you all have a great day!

Good Monday morning! I'm enjoying this extra day off, it feels good not going into work on a Monday. I'll be doing some cooking and cleaning today and some online shopping to compare prices on Winter tires. We're due for new ones, the traction on our old ones wasn't the best last Winter. I also am looking for DIY Halloween costume ideas online. Time is running out fast. Hope everyone will have a great day!
