Thanks Crown! Happy November!Good Morning!
Welcome to the Merry Month of November.
The month of Thanksgiving and........
THE BEGINNING OF CHRISTMAS SEASON 2018!
The count just gets more and more exciting, as our Thanksgiving Day count number is added to replace Halloween:
Days to the Season: 12 (So close to SINGLE DIGITS, now!!)
Days to Thanksgiving: 21 (THREE WEEKS from TODAY!)
Days to Christmas Day: 54 (Moving in toward 7 1/2 weeks!)
(The tension just keeps building!)
Well, we surpassed the 70 degree mark yesterday and will do so again today and tomorrow before cooler temps return for the weekend. Tomorrow shows a pretty good shot at rain.
Currently, we are situated at 57 degrees here in central NC.
Have a Thrilling Thursday, all you Wonderful People!
Happy Halloween, Christmas friends!
As predicted, Nancy was not amused when she realized that our stealth carver left an empty liquor bottle as part of the scene of the vomiting pumpkin. Why couldn't they leave a full bottle? LOL!! Just kidding! She would kill me just for joking about that! We saw one of the local preachers last night, and he mentioned that someone pointed out our house to him yesterday. Nancy flipped out, thinking he might've seen the bottle on the front step. I assured her that you couldn't tell what it was from the road. Whew, dodged THAT bullet!
Elizabeth's play was a great, sold-out success! All of the kids gave a great performance, especially Elizabeth. The dinner was super, too. They have regional competition on Friday, then an encore Dessert Theater performance at school again next Thursday. Here she is on the porch that required all of my carpentry talents:

I hope y'all have a spooky day!![]()
Happy Halloween! I worked until 4 and then we went out trick or treating. We were home by 7 which is pretty decent. Her pumpkin was so full I had to carry it in between houses. The candy is all put away and hidden. I'm just waiting for Carolina to fall asleep. I am flipping between Hocus Pocus and Hallmark now. Have a great day everyone!
Good Halloween evening! A few employees dressed up today and I had an employee dress like in the 80s, like me. She's only 20 but spoke of watching 80s movies on VHS(!) with her father.
I had an interesting experience today. I was holding our Health and Safety committee meeting and November is a month to promote staying warm in cold temperatures. We have to find ways to promote the monthly theme and I suggested asking employees on a voluntary basis to bring in mittens and tuques to donate to a local school. One of the committee members thought that employees would not like to be asked for another contribution since the 13 stores in our district are already helping to put together a Christmas party for families in need, again all on a voluntary basis. The other two members present did not speak up to say otherwise. I didn't know there was a cap on generosity and good will. You can chose to donate to one activity and not the other. Anyway I didn't push it any further but I was disappointed to say the least. I'm getting to know our employees and what makes them tick (shrug).
Hope everyone has been enjoying Halloween and will get to enjoy some candy.
No trick-or-treaters. I guess I’m too far off the beaten track. Well, I was hoping for some and now I got a big ole bowl full of chocolate to get rid of some way, some how.
Tomorrow, it’s November 1st, it is my sons birthday and also the Christmas music will start playing on Sirius radio. We got an email today at work, about the office Christmas party in December. This is all so exciting. The season is upon us; Thank you God!
We were talking tonight about Christmas gift ideas and Christmas as a whole, it’s going to be exciting having our first Christmas in our home. We are definitely hanging stockings on the mantle for the kitties.
A fab night out trick or treating with the girls last night, by the time we got back most of the local kids had passed our street so only handed out a couple of goody bags!
Happy 1st of November! Another season almost here! Have a great day all!

November already ! Had about 30 kids last night. The weather was perfect for it. The loved seeing my son dressed as a 7 foot tall dinosaur, a few where scared but parents proved he was safe LOL
It is raining again today and looks like it will do so all day.
I am off work, but not entirely sure what I am doing as I still have to hear back from my daughter.
Hope you all have a great day !

Good November first morning, Christmas friends!
As expected, we were swamped with trick-or-treaters last night. Nancy stayed in the hospital with her mother last night (she's improving), so Elizabeth and I handed out candy. So many little girls in princess costumes asked Elizabeth if she was Ariel!! They were in just in awe of being that close to the Ariel they saw on stage in July. So cute!
Off to my daily meeting. I hope y'all have a great day!![]()
Happy November!! Halloween was a success and my youngest has a full bag of candy. Just work for me today and my oldest won a conference award for soccer in Sportsmanship. We have a banquet tonight. So just work for me and I will be listening to some Christmas music today and the countdown to Thanksgiving begins! Hope you all have a great day!
Good morning ~
Happy November!
I hope everyone had a Merry Halloween. We had about a dozen trick or treaters. We get less and less each year, I don’t understand why it so different now. When my kids were younger we had herds of kids walking around the neighborhood. Anyway, I don’t have too much going on. I have to run a couple of quick errands and then I’ll be working on the laundry. I plan on taking it easy after that, my husband has a cold and I feel like I’m getting sick now. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!
xx
Happy November Thursday!
I guess we had a dozen or so trick-or-treaters. We were over-prepared with the chocolate ... we never can predict how many will show up. When we cut back on buying candy, more kids show up!
Who else can hardly believe it's November? [raises hand] Somebody pull Time over for speeding! (Wait, that actually happens this weekend: clocks get set back as Daylight Saving ends, giving us one extra hour.)
Good Thursday morning! I’m working the afternoon/evening shift today so we’re running errands early this morning and David is getting a haircut. I was also up at 6am making the poster for our employees to vote on their favourite Halloween costume.
I just got my first Christmas magazine, I’m so excited now! I’m most looking forward to a week’s vacation starting November 17th so I can REALLY get into everything Christmas and decorate. Stores here are still not fully set-up for Christmas so I’m waiting to do my usual day of going from place to place to look at Christmas merchandise.
Have a wonderful day everyone!
