Christmas Countdown - 2018

Good afternoon ... Well the inside of my house is all decked out for Christmas but the outside is still decorated for Fall/Thanksgiving. Mother nature has not been on co-operating with our days off .. Its either been raining or extremely too windy/cold to decorate the outside when we were off but of course we get nice weather when we had to work. Hoping to be able to get the outside done on Sunday. We are headed to NYC for the day Saturday!

I really do need to get started on my Christmas Cards and wrapping gifts. Tired of the bedroom looking like back of a fed ex truck with boxes and bags everywhere LOL Well lunch break almost over. Have a great day!

going to decorate church and hall and then finish decorating cake
looks like everything else is ready to go, I hope !
Still have to pick up a few breakfast items for the girls as well will all be at church by 8am for make up and hairdos and to get ready

Good Morning, MMC!! It’s going to be a nice day here with a high in the 40’s. Well that’s if this fog ever burns off. I had a big weekend planned with our towns Christmas parade and tree lighting going on tomorrow. They are calling for heavy storms now though. So it’s looking like the festives will probably be canceled. I’ll still try to hit up some of the craft shows and maybe the drive thru Christmas lights though. I hope everyone has a great weekend!!!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful Friday! This is my full weekend off from work. Tonight I got some Christmas shopping done. I think all I have to get now are some gift cards, cards and a few more stocking stuffers.
Our Elf Aurora comes back tonight once Carolina is asleep.
We are supposed to go to a fire truck christmas light parade tomorrow but I've heard that it is being cancelled due to the rain.
I hope everyone is having a fantastic Christmassy night

Good morning MMC and happy first day of December! I've had a very busy and exhausting couple of days. I haven't really got to post much, but I'm here now. Hope everyone is doing well!

The next couple of days are pretty packed. This am, we've gotta do a couple of errands - gotta go shopping for some new shoes for the kids and get some toys for the Toys for Tots here. We'll drop them off and then we have family Christmas pictures this afternoon. DH works tonight and I'll be watching my niece this evening.

Tomorrow is the first Sunday Advent - my favorite time of the liturgical calendar and in the church. I'm looking forward to it!

Happy December everyone!! Tree's up, decorations are up and the Christmas fair is tomorrow. Mulled wine anyone?

Good Saturday morning! I can’t belive it’s December 1st already. I’m starting to freak out a bit, I have fallen behind on everything, from shopping for gifts to baking. I’ll have 2 weekdays off next week so will have to catch up.

Last night at work, an employee gave us quite a scare. After lifting a framed mirror, she grabbed her chest and I brought her down to the floor. She says that this has happened before, when doing some physical effort. When she was feeling better, I wound up driving her home in her own car and coming back to work by taxi. I will have a talk with her today about seeing her doctor, I think she is showing all the signs of effort angina. I really don’t want it to lead to a heart attack at some point, especially since she mentionned there is a history of heart problems in her family.

So tonight is the first of three consecutive Saturdays where I’ll be out celebrating Christmas. I am such a homebody and an introvert, this is the most social activity I will have in a single month. Tonight is our work Christmas party. I am not in the Social committee this year so I get to relax a bit, though I did end up helping them with a few things anyway. Next week, just us managers will go eat at a nice restaurant. And on the 15th my brother is having us over at his place.

But for now I’m just relaxing before work, curled up in a blanket in front of the illuminated tree, with Loki sleeping on my lap. Have a wonderful day everyone!

Sounds like a busy but fun weekend! My dad may be sending me to target to get a gift for my mom since he doenst have a clue what he is looking for.

In that regard, here is today's count:
Days to Christmas Day: 24 (Note, that means UNDER 3 1/2 WEEKS remain!)
(Just starting to get a little scary, Guys!)

Well, we warmed up yesterday into the 60's as promised by the weather service.
The same is predicted for today, then 70's for tomorrow.
Should be great for getting our Christmas tree later today, as long as the rain holds off. (Would just as soon not put a wet tree in my van, Christmas or otherwise!)
Right now, it is 56 degrees and things are looking pretty good with just a few clouds.

Carolina's excitement is getting greater especially now that her elf has arrived. This morning she has made us each talk with the elf about good and bad places to hide. I love how excited she is getting and seeing the magic again thru her eyes. Each year it gets better

Good Saturday morning, Christmas friends!

I left work early yesterday afternoon. I called the doctor's office for an appointment, and they'd had a cancellation, and could see me right away. I've had some numbness in my left hand, and it turns our I have elbow tunnel syndrome. Ha! Never heard of that! It's actually similar to carpal tunnel, but it's called cubital tunnel. Anyway, nothing to do about it short of surgery, but it might clear up in time. Great.

It's rainy around here. I was hoping to get on the mower to mulch up all of the pecan leaves, but it's too wet now. So, Lulu and I are on the couch watching Stargate: SG1. It's an old show, but pretty awesome!
