Going to redo my Christmas/Holiday Notebook for next year this week since I am off, already have some gifts ideas (store biught and homemade). Have some great ideas in the back of my head for next Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas that I want start writing down, plan and get ready for. We are taking the kids to the movies this afternoon to see Bumble Bee. Have a great day.

Good Wednesday morning! I have off today and I plan on not doing much. Stores don't open until 1pm today and I hate Boxing Day crowds, so I'm staying home and will look at online deals to see if anything catches my eye. We had a great Christmas just David and me and Loki, a quiet one just like I love. Enjoy your day everyone!

I am asking for prayer again tonight. My aunt took my cousin back to the emergency room as he is still not feeling well. It seems he may be having some sort of reaction to his antibiotic and dehydration since he hasn't drank enough water.
Also my uncle took himself to the ER this morning do to pain in his side and he is currently undergoing an emergency appendectomy.
Thank you for the prayers

Prayers for the entire family!

Merry Christmas MMC. My two days did not go as planned. My brother got very sick the day before Christmas Eve and so we had to cancel our annual Christmas Eve shopping and lunch trip, which is the first time in 25 or so years. I was pretty bummed about that. And then both of his kids were sick so we could not go over to where they live on Christmas Eve night as we normally do to watch them open our presents. I just sent the gifts and food over with my husband to drop off. So my Christmas Eve was definitely different, but I did spend the evening opening presents with my husband and our five curious felines, and we had a great time. We are currently visiting my parents and were able to see a friend and my sister and her kids and will see my aunt and uncle tomorrow. So, although it was different, I still am grateful for my Christmas with family and friends as well as being grateful that I can share it all with you. I hope everyone had a safe and wonderful Christmas Eve/day!

Praying everyone feels better!

Happy Day after Christmas, MMC!! Christmas was different for us with my nieces not being there. This is the first time since they’ve been born that we didn’t get to see them on Christmas Day. Me, my mom, and my aunt still had a nice laid back day filled with lots of good food. So much in fact that we didn’t even realize that we forgot to put some of it out. Then my cousin and her husband stopped by to visit for a few hours in between the festivities at their 2 daughters. Today I’m going to head out and see if I find any Santa’s to add to the collection. The pickings were slim before Christmas but I found a few stores that had some cute ones. I hope everyone has a great day!!!

Happy Boxing Day all. The in-laws were over yesterday for some Christmas cheer and there was enough food to probably feed us three times over. So, leftovers for a little while. :)

I may head out before work to see if there are any discounted cards and ornaments to get for next year, but I'm not crazy enough to face the crowds shopping for their post Christmas sales.

Called the relatives across the country to wish them all a happy Christmas and discovered that my half sister is engaged. The wedding is planned for 2020, so something to look forward to.

Take care everyone.

Congrats to her!

Good morning MMC....we had a great Christmas! It was fun being with friends and family. Today will be a laid back day and just relaxing. Unfortunately, I think my husband woke up with what my daughter had last week...really congested cold and feeling a bit achey so he actually went back to lay down. Hope you all have a great day!

Hope he feels better soon!

Wow! Great for you on the start. Enjoy the movie!

Bring on Christmas 2019! I'm already excited. In October, we booked a trip to Disney for the girls that will be the week of Thanksgiving 2019. I'm so excited. They have no clue, nor will they until the moment we leave.

Today, a lot of cleaning.....anyone wanna help?

So exciting, Coach! We’re going I’m September - they will already be decorated for Halloween. The kids are beyond excited!

Good morning, MMC and Happy Boxing Day! Not much on the agenda for today. I’m going on to look at online deals, see if there is anything good I can find. DD has a friend coming over this afternoon, to spend the night. Then this evening, we have a few couples coming over for game night and to celebrate Christmas.

Hope you all had a fun Christmas with your family!

What a wonderful Christmas Day it was yesterday. I plain outright just crashed on the futon last night after we got back home from visiting family. I woke up at 6:30, got up, went upstairs to bed and I just got up. I’m telling you, between Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, I ate so much, I think I had a calorie overdose!!! Lol... Of course, I’m off work today, which is good, right now, I’m just kicking back at the moment, drinking my coffee and listening to Christmas music. Later, we are going to try and start cleaning up and organizing things and plus I have to take the trash to the transfer station as well too.

I think right now though, I might go help myself to a slice of that coffee cake on the kitchen counter; wait......wait, I hear it, yup, it’s calling to me!!!!

First of all, no one in my family spent Christmas in the hospital or funeral home, so I am blessed here.

DH & I went out of town for our 25th wedding anniversary on Thursday night. He got sick during the night on Thursday and has been sick off and on ever since. He made it to his parent's house for Christmas breakfast, but not to my parent's house for Christmas dinner. He is off work today & tomorrow and said he feels better today.

Being gone for the lead up to Christmas Eve made it seem that Christmas just started & then it was over. We met DH's parents at the mall on Christmas Eve morning as usual and they brought DD with them. DD & DH had our traditional Chinese lunch at the food court and I should have too, but I chose Chic-Fil-A instead. Can't go wrong there either! We came home to start laundry & straightened up the house for Santa's arrival. We watched Little House on the Prairie's The Christmas They Never Forgot & It's a Wonderful Life. DH even watched with us this year! We had soup & grilled cheese sandwiches for dinner since DH wasn't feeling great. Our Christmas Eve menu at home is different every year.

Christmas morning DH wasn't feeling well again, but he made it through Christmas breakfast with his family at his parent's house. We came home and took an afternoon nap. He still wasn't feeling well, so DD & I went to my parent's house for Christmas dinner & he stayed at home. DD spent the night with my parent's as has become tradition (all four granddaughters stay the night with them). Because we had been gone since Thursday, there were no groceries at home, so DH & I ended up at Walgreen's at 8:30 on Christmas night buying chicken noodle soup for his dinner!

I am a traditionalist with a twist and I have learned over the years that I have to let go of the perfect vision I have for everything and just go with the flow. This Christmas season and our anniversary trip have been another learning experience for me. By the time It's a Wonderful Life was over on Christmas Eve, I was sufficiently filled with the Christmas spirit and slept well. That is, until FIL called DH at 4:20 a.m. to yell "Christmas Gift!" and hang up. That is a tradition started by FIL's mother (not at 4:20 a.m though...). I told DH not to answer the phone, but he did and then we had a hard time going back to sleep, hence the afternoon nap we needed! Next year, maybe we will remember to turn off our ringers before bedtime on Christmas Eve!

I am back to work today, but DH took vacation days for today & tomorrow. He & MIL took DD to see the new Mary Poppins movie today. DH & I saw it on our anniversary trip. I'm still listening to Christmas music in the car as long as satellite radio keeps playing it & the house will stay decorated until January 1. I'm already looking forward to next year and thinking up possible gifts for next Christmas.

I hope everyone who is sick is recovering. Bless you all.

Hello everyone.
We just got back from a trip to IKEA. Picked up a new adjustable table for my wife and a new cabinet for Henry's room.

Still hard to to believe Christmas is over. However, we are going to watch the new Kurt Russell Santa movie tonight. Plus, like all if us here, Christmas is never really over. I will listen to a fair amount of Christmas music for the next several days. In truth I will listen to it all year long off and on. Especially on snowy days.

Here is Henry and Oscar (his elf) waiting for us all to gather round the tree on Christmas morning.
