[Holiday]

Good morning folks. Well, all the schools in the area are either closed or on an early dismissal. There is a big wintery storm moving in. We were almost 60 degrees yesterday, but now the temperature is dropping. It is raining now, but by about 10:00am we will be below freezing and will have ice/ freezing rain. Then in the afternoon it will turn to snow. So... another 4 day weekend since Monday is Martin Luther King Day.

So, time to relax... and get some grading done.

Enjoy your 4 day weekend!! We've had mostly rain so far. It was mixed with sleet earlier, but the ground temp is warm enough it didn't freeze. My boss just came in & said "they're going to look pretty dumb if they cancelled school for rain!" LOL I hope we get snow soon!!! xx

Merry Friday!
We’re expecting lots of rain today, heavy at times. Praying it’s not too bad, my husband and I will be heading in to the city later this evening with my in-laws. We’re going to see Hello Dolly on Broadway, starring Bette Midler. This is the last weekend she will be performing in the show. We’ll also be going out for dinner as well. Should be a nice night.

Outstanding weather yesterday, despite a sprinkle or two. The high reached 64 degrees and it was nice and calm. Lots of birds on our backyard bird feeder (at least until the squirrels came).
Today? Well the weather service says 72!
It will come with rain, but who cares. After the 201 consecutive hours below freezing we had recently, I'll take a downpour!
We stand just over 65 damp and humid degrees here at this hour in the capital city and it looks like it could start raining at any moment.

Morning all!! More nasty weather..rain all night and every bit of snow is gone now. Creeks are full and alot of flooding going on. On a bright note severe winter storm warning for tomorrow..freezing rain,sleet and now 10-12 inches of snow is forecast. And here we sit with windows open and me grumbling its to hot inside the house.

We were "supposed" to get 8-12"...now down to 1-3"! Good luck!!

It's pouring rain right now. The freezing rain is supposed to start late tonight & turn into snow overnight. I went to the grocery store last night so I'm ready. We have a propane camping stove to cook on & coolers for the cold stuff, so we should be prepared should the power go out.

Good Friday morning! It's a balmy 9°C/48°F and raining right now but temperatures will be plunging and a snowstorm is coming later tonight into tomorrow. A day off for me and much needed, as I woke up around 2:45am and started coughing, to the point where I woke up my husband and he couldn't get back to sleep. As long as I'm not moving too much, the coughing is somewhat under control. Unfortunately we only have cough syrup in the house and I refuse to take syrup (I have this weird hang-up), so David will get me some Dayquill/Nyquill pills after work. Hope I'll be ok to work tomorrow. Have a great day everyone!

Happy Friday!
I have a 3 day weekend. Not too many plans, just my daughter's basketball games. Looks like there will be a lot of rain today/tonight and then maybe snow on Tuesday!! We'll see...hope you all have a great Friday and weekend!

TGIF, Christmas friends!

Nancy and I missed the family dinner last night. We're both a little unwell with some virus that's passing through. It's not a terrible as the typical stomach bug, but it's enough to make you feel blah. Hopefully, it'll be gone soon.

It will keep getting worse and freezing more. With ice it does not take much to cause major issues and schools cannot afford to take the chance. Since you are a little further north than I am, you are probably getting some freezing rain at this point too. Be careful when it is time to head home.

Thank you! Yes, I started to hear "ice" hit the windows a few minutes ago. And that's when I said "THIS is why they cancelled school!" I would be good with all snow - sure don't need any ice! I guess I don't get to decide though, huh? It's not slick out yet - just wet, but like you said, it won't take long! Stay safe!

Love the 2 tree idea!! Enjoy your pizza. I picked up a Digiorno pizza last night for Mom & I for supper tonight. I figured with the weather being icky it will be a quick & easy supper! I don't think I've ever had that brand before. I've been seeing their commercials constantly on tv "It's not deliver, it's Digiorno's?" LOL I hope it's good! If I decide to make something for supper, we'll have pizza for lunch tomorrow!

Actually Digorno's is my FAVORITE frozen pizza. I'm not a fan of buying pizza from a freezer but their pizza tastes better than Dominos or Pizza Hut IMO.

Sounds like many are experiencing the same type of weather I am...rain, possible ice, and then snow. Typical Ohio weather when I had the windows open yesterday because it was 60 degrees and now we are about to get ice and snow. They said it was 60 this morning at daybreak, and now it is about 36. So strange!! But I say bring on the snow! We have nothing to do this weekend so it will be the perfect time to stay in front of the fireplace and watch the snow fall! I think dinner tonight will be meatloaf and roasted potatoes. I hope everyone has a great day and stays safe in all this weather!
