Approaching another weekend.
Weekend Eve arrives tomorrow.

And the new count numbers have just arrived today.
Here they are:
Days to the Season: 278
Days to Christmas Day: 320

And just about to arrive?
The ONE-QUARTER Milestone to Christmas Season 2018, set to pull into the station is a scant FOUR days. That's barely over HALF a week from now, Folks.
(The year is flying by like a runaway freight train!)

It was rather wet yesterday with off-and-on again rain. The temperature was warm though, at 66 degrees.
Today's high will be about twenty degrees cooler and we have commenced it at 41 degrees here in the capital city.
(It should be dry, though.)

I watched the SpaceX Falcon Heavy test flight a moment ago. It was pretty cool!

Elon Musk put his favorite car in the rocket, I guess to show his faith in it. There were cameras all around the rocket showing live video feed from inside and outside, and one of the cameras is inside the car looking at the dash and windshield.

The dash radio screen says "Don't Panic"...LOL! If you've ever read the book or seen the movie "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy", you'll love it!

Happy Friday Eve...I am working a 1/2 day today and off tomorrow. Looking forward to a 3 day weekend. It is very icy out there this morning but looks like we are going to warm up a bit this weekend. That is fine with me.

Well yesterday was a fun and interesting day. There was all the excitement of the rocket launch. Then the Colts had a new coach, then we didn’t have a new coach. Which was fine with me. I was never sold on McDaniel’s anyway. Today should be pretty boring. Nothing really going on. Just the same old same old. I hope everyone has a great day!!!

What is today, Wednesday? lol... We've been sick here for 2-3 days now. We picked up an intestinal bug that totally grounded us to stay at home for days now. I was just thinking the other day, that this might be the first year that we may get by this winter without catching something; nope, didn't happen!!!

Well, it's another one of those icky days outside, it started out as snow, the sleet, then freezing rain, now rain and it's supposed to turn back over to snow before this mess ends tonight. And me, I guess its because I'm not feeling like myself, I have not been able to get warm all day. I got the heat up, a blanket around me and I'm still feeling cold; especially my extremities.

Hope everyone is doing well, stay warm and dry!

Not much happening around here today. I'm supposed to go to a meeting tonight at the First Methodist Church with other Methodist churches. They have a consultant coming to talk about church security. It stinks that it has to be considered, but that's the world we live in now, I guess.

Good morning MMC! Merry Friday Eve!! Chilly morning here @ 12º! I got to the office this morning to find we ran out of propane. Brrrr! Thankfully the propane truck pulled in a few minutes after I got here! Whew!

I had a nice day off yesterday. Of course it went too fast! Got some things done around the house but it was a pretty relaxing day! I was shutting the blinds after it started to get dark last night & I would have sworn it was just 10 minutes earlier I was opening the blinds to get the day started. HA!

Good Tuesday evening! I have three more work days before a 2-week staycation and so far this week, they have been 12-hour work days and I am beat. I'm trying to tie up loose ends and making sure everything gets done. Super Bowl Sunday did not help as I couldn't fall asleep after the big win from the Eagles and and went to bed at around midnight, which for me is really late. Oh well, I'll be able to rest soon enough. Hope everyone is enjoying a good start to the week!

After having a good day off yesterday, I'm a little envious of your staycation!! I'm sure you will enjoy!

Good morning ~
Merry Pines Day!
We’re expecting an inch or two of snow this morning, it’s supposed to turn over to all rain this afternoon. I don’t have to run any errands today which is nice. I’ll just be working on my daily chores. I also need to fry meatballs and get a pot of sauce started, dinner will be stuffed shells. Maybe I’ll squeeze a nap in at some point, Rocky has been keeping me up, we’re still working on that sleeping through the night thing!

Thanks, Meceka!! Mom’s appointment the other day went okay. They had to replace one of the speaker on one of her hearing aids. She says it’s still acting up though so we are going back tomorrow for him to look at it again. Then 30 minutes later it’s across the street to her regular doctor for a check up.

Morning MMC. It's icy out! We had some snow, ice and rain yesterday. I don't like when they have those mixtures out there. Sometimes I think it would be better with just snow or rain. Anyway, looks decent the next few days before some rain Sunday. And looks like mostly temps getting a little above average again for the next week into Mid-Feb. Have a great Friday Eve!

I can't say that I'm looking forward to the "above normal temps" next week! Booooo! It's too early in the year. Just stay cold.

It's going to be breezy and cold today, highs near 32 degrees. I need to run to the bank, Rite Aid and the pet store later this morning. I'll be working on my daily chores this afternoon. I also need to call the groomer at some point to see when she thinks Rocky should have his first appointment. And I'm making spaghetti & chicken parm for dinner. That's about it for me. Good Thursday morning! What should have been average snowfall yesterday turned into a snow storm, with lots of accidents on the roads. A couple of employees who live about 20 minutes away took almost 2 hours to get home, because visibility on the highways was simply awful. By the time I finished work at 9:30pm, there was little snow falling so it was safer to drive, though slippery. I am tired of Winter and snow, I've had enough. At least the sun is out today.

Anyway, I was up early watching Olympics curling and now ski jumping. I love to watch the Olympics, this put me in a better mood. I will go into work early again today, I have too many things to do before I start my vacation tomorrow when I finish work. And I keep adding items to my list as they pop into my head, sometimes in the middle of the night. I don't want to forget anything, especially since our store manager will be away at the company's national conference for part of mext week and we're usually the ones who make sure nothing is forgotten.
