Christmas Countdown - 2018

Good morning MMC! Merry Friday! YAY!! This has been an "odd" week with my hubby being gone, having Wednesday off work - made yesterday feel like a Monday & here it is - FRIDAY!!!! Not complaining!

One of our friends was trying to get 7 couple together tonight, but her plan is falling apart. I think only 1 couple can make it now. I'm not complaining about that either - I'd rather go when my hubby can go along & I'm looking forward to an entire weekend with NO PLANS!! (Does that mean I'm getting old???) HA! Mom care is even covered this weekend so I can go visit, but I don't have any time scheduled to be the care giver. I'm glad to help out, but it's a relief when you get a weekend off!

We are supposed to hit 44º today. Bye bye snow!

I remember those days! My dancer (and adjunct instructor) from 3 to 25, Jordyn, turns 30 this year.

Thanks!! They’ve some how turned into 4 more appointments over the next 3 weeks. These doctors and all of their yearly tests. Lol!!

Lol!!! Ella always slept in the kennel at night. Well my aunt finally decided that she’d just let her out and let her sleep wherever. That worked for a couple weeks. Then she decided to start scratching at my aunts bedroom door and barking every hour. When my aunt would open the door, she’d be standing there with her ball ready to play. After a couple weeks of that, Ella is now back to sleeping in the kennel.

Awe!! Ella just wants to PLAY!!! Too funny!!!

Thank you so very much for the well wishes. I spent about half the day in bed off and on, slept every time I did too. I'm still feeling like something sucked the energy right out of me. Tomorrows Friday, debating if I should go in or just make a longer weekend out of it. The wife headed in to work today, but she's about a day ahead of me with this too.

Hope your feeling better today. Can't blame ya a bit if you decide to make it a long weekend!! Regardless ~ feel better & have a good weekend!!

Morning MMC. Looks like we will have some rain this weekend but I'll take it cause it still will be the weekend . Other than that just been a busy enough week for me. Definitely looking forward to this weekend which should be low key. Hope you all enjoy your TGIF!

Days to Christmas Day: 319

Then, the Milestone status:
Our next marker is the 1/4 Season point and it now stands just THREE days away.
That's LESS THAN HALF A WEEK, Folks.
(We have come so far, so fast!)

It cooled off a bit yesterday and our afternoon high was only 50 degrees.
Today will see us improve to 57, with 64 predicted for tomorrow, when some rain is possible.
Right now, we stand at a chilly 34 degrees here in our sector of the great MMC Nation.

Merry Friday!
It’s gong to be cloudy and chilly today with highs near 35 degrees. Not too much going on here, I’m just having my coffee and I am working on a menu plan and grocery list for next week. I’ll be heading out to the butcher later this morning. Other than that I will be working on the laundry. The girls are all off today which is nice, we’re going to order a pizza for lunch. And I’m making beef stew for dinner. That’s about it for me.

TGIF, Christmas friends!

I have to leave early today to work a spaghetti plate fundraiser at school for Elizabeth's class. Nancy dropped off the spaghetti sauce at the lunchroom this morning, and the older lady who runs it asked if Nancy was planning to help later. She told her no, but that that I was coming, instead. The lady said, "Oh, we just love it when the husbands come to work!" I'm assuming I have some heavy lifting in my near future.

Quiet night here for a Friday night! What’s up, Is QVC having a some special half price sale on tonight or something like that? Lol!!!

So, who’s already thinking about Christmas for this year? I am!!! We bought so many things at the end of the year, that were big time marked down. I can’t wait to see them out and about for this coming Christmas.

I’m still running under 100% from that illness, but I am slowly getting back in the saddle once more. Here it is not even 10 pm and I’m all settled in for the night. I feel like I just need to re-boot some and build my energy level back up again.

It’s going to be an all rain weekend this weekend, so sounds like a good weekend to get some rest.

Good Saturday morning! After a 60h+ work week, I am finally on staycation! I got up at about 5am to watch Olympics short track and long track speed skating and now ski jumping (with Loki sleeping on my lap). I found out yesterday that my boss likes to watch figure skating, a kindred spirit. Today we'll finally take down our Christmas tree. That's the longest it's ever been up. With both David and I being sick, we just didn't have any energy to do anything. Other than that it'll be a very relaxing day catching up on the dvr and napping I think. Hope you will all enjoy a wonderful day!

We reached the predicted high of 57 degrees yesterday, and are told the high today will top out at 68. A welcomed respite.
Currently, 49 degrees is our reading here in central North Carolina, with a light rain falling.
