It’s been a wild winter that’s for sure. You watch, for the New England area, there’s going to be a baby boom this coming November/ December! Lol....
Woke up and decided to check the stats. Our final storm total, pending any light overnight snow, is 23 inches. But public transportation is running a regular schedule in the morning, and they say the roads will be okay in most places. I’d rather work from home one more day, just the same.

Hi everyone not posted since Thursday (I think) so thought I'd come say hi while I've got time to spare. I'm just relaxing with a coffee while I wait for my groceries to be delivered. Got the day off today apart from one meeting with a classmate to arrange our presentation so probably going to be an errand day for me. Hope you are all well.

Morning MMC. Happy Last Pines Day of Winter! Although winter sure has gone out with a bang so far. We got some snow yesterday but nothing like MA did (saw Merry say 23 inches wow). Anyway, just got a busy day ahead which is a good thing and hoping the sun comes out even though it's not going to be that warm. Have a good Pines Day!

Good Morning, Traveling Companions!

We continue our journey through the rolling year and on to Christmas Season 2018.
Along the way, we gather Milestones.
And the next one will be here, TOMORROW!

Today's numbers:
Days to the Season: 244
Days to Christmas Day: 286

Yes, as mentioned above -- we are a scant ONE DAY away from arriving at Milestone marker number four, the 1/3 point to the Season.
(So, get ready for a ** MILESTONE DAY ** banner tomorrow, Folks!)

Rain overnight from Monday to Tuesday, but it dried up yesterday, being replaced by a sunny afternoon, albeit a somewhat chilly one.
Today should be even chillier, but calm and sunny.
We are at 36 degrees here right now in the capital city.

Well, can it already be 'Pines Day again so soon? Seems like that just happend at this time last week, doesn't it?
But since Carl, activities director of the Shispering Pines and a distinguished member of our community says it's 'Pines Day, I'll not dispute it. I'll just show up and enjoy.
(For some reason, I have an extra large hankering for one of those delicious fired twinkies. And Carl sweetens his iced tea to perfection!)
The entertainment? Anybody's guess. But I'm thinking it's going to have some kind of a "Spring Preview" theme.

I hope to see everyone there, and in the meantime, you try your best to have a Wonderful Wednesday, Friends!

Merry Pines Day ~
Just a quick hello this morning. I’m heading out soon, Rocky has his very first groomer appointment. I hope he behaves lol, every time I try to brush him he attacks the brush! I’m going to run a couple of errands while he’s there. Back home afterward to work on some chores around the house. Dinner will be spaghetti & meatballs. I hope everyone has a great day, see you tonight!
xx

Good morning MMC!! Merry Pines Day!
The weather yesterday was so strange w/ the back & forth between gray with snow squalls & bright sunshine!! It would snow like crazy for 20 minutes, grass would turn white, sun would pop out, poof, grass was green/brown again! This caught my eye - I thought it looked pretty cool - the shade from our neighbors tree made another perfect snow tree! :D

We have a few snow flurries this morning & bitter wind!! I texted my brother around 4pm yesterday. He said they had 10-12" & they were out of power. Was supposed to snow until 10pm. Haven't heard from him this morning.
I hope all of you are safe & warm!!
Have a Merry Wednesday!!!

Tomorrow is home inspection day on the home that we put a contract on. I’m super excited. I don’t expect any issues because the home is in such wonderful condition. After that comes the septic and well inspections, then the appraisal from the bank and then settlement.

We will be moving in around the end of April.
Good luck! How exciting!

Got about 2 inches of snow here in Chicago. It didn't snow very long but when it did it was crazy with the lake effect machine turned on! Winter isn't over!
Enjoy the snow!!

Oh wow Merry, you guys, sure did get a lot more snow than us. That’s awesome!

Your not going to believe this but there is chatter on the web, (Justin Berk) about another potential Nor’easter for next week!!!
EEK!

Tonight smells like frost and reminded me of Christmas. It’s been so wonderful having snow and chill, but I do believe I will be ready for Spring when it arrives though! :) Looking forward to summer nights at the river and being outdoors a bit more comfortably. Hope everyone has a great night!!
I agree. I've enjoyed this winter, but will be ready for spring & lake time! :)

Oh good grief! Someone told my wife that there are mountain lions in Connecticut! She’s having a tizzy with moving out from suburbia to the countryside.

Sure enough she went on the internet and there’s documented proof of mountain lions seen in mass and CT. one was killed by a car in CT and the dna test done on it, confirmed that it came from the black hills of SD. They call them transients, they are looking for mates and new territories.

How about all of that? I never would of guessed. They say that at one time, mountain lions were native to this area. I knew there were bobcats and black bears here, mountain lions; come on!
There have been sightings/farm animals killed in our area too - in Ohio! Come on! We don't need them, that's for sure!!!

Happy Pines Day!
We ended up with 16 inches of snow but never lost power...yay!
I thought my kids might have a delay because everything iced over but they were on schedule.
I am working today and we are having tacos for dinner.
Hope you all have a great day!

I have heard of mountain lions in CT. We do have fisher cats and bobcats for sure.

I hope Rocky does well at the groomer!! xx Lucy goes today for a bath/brush out! Our groomer is fostering a 13 week old Sheep Dog/poodle mix, or a Sheepadoodle! She sent me a picture. She looks so adorable. I hope I get to meet her today!
Enjoy your day!!
