Christmas Countdown - 2018

Thank you! I hope so, too. We got a robocall from our electricity provider warning those without electricity to prepare for "multiple days without power," as they can't get around due to the heavy snow and roads blocked by fallen trees and branches. A really ugly storm. We're in the area with some of the deepest snow, but the worst winds and wetter snow are on the South Shore, and that's where they're losing power big-time.

Happy to hear you did not lose power. That is how we were in the last storm..some people were without power for 4 or 5 days.

Happy Pines Day!
We ended up with 16 inches of snow but never lost power...yay!
I thought my kids might have a delay because everything iced over but they were on schedule.
I am working today and we are having tacos for dinner.

It's crazy to imagine 16 (or 23) inches of snow. I'm pretty sure if we had that here, everything would be shut down in the morning! Hope everyone stays safe!

Like Holiday said, 16 inches of snow would have things shut down here for a week. Especially all of the country schools.

Nothing to much going on here. I have a few errands to run and my normal chores. Hope everyone has a great Pines day!!!!!

Merry Pines Day ~
Just a quick hello this morning. I’m heading out soon, Rocky has his very first groomer appointment. I hope he behaves lol, every time I try to brush him he attacks the brush! I’m going to run a couple of errands while he’s there. Back home afterward to work on some chores around the house. Dinner will be spaghetti & meatballs. I hope everyone has a great day, see you tonight!

Oh good grief! Someone told my wife that there are mountain lions in Connecticut! She’s having a tizzy with moving out from suburbia to the countryside.

Sure enough she went on the internet and there’s documented proof of mountain lions seen in mass and CT. one was killed by a car in CT and the dna test done on it, confirmed that it came from the black hills of SD. They call them transients, they are looking for mates and new territories.

How about all of that? I never would of guessed. They say that at one time, mountain lions were native to this area. I knew there were bobcats and black bears here, mountain lions; come on!

You should put a trail camera in your yard!!

We have the occasional panther in our area, near mom's house. It's a creepy sound to hear at night:

Good morning MMC!! Merry Pines Day!
The weather yesterday was so strange w/ the back & forth between gray with snow squalls & bright sunshine!! It would snow like crazy for 20 minutes, grass would turn white, sun would pop out, poof, grass was green/brown again! This caught my eye - I thought it looked pretty cool - the shade from our neighbors tree made another perfect snow tree!

We have a few snow flurries this morning & bitter wind!! I texted my brother around 4pm yesterday. He said they had 10-12" & they were out of power. Was supposed to snow until 10pm. Haven't heard from him this morning.
I hope all of you are safe & warm!!
