Morning MMC. Happy Pines Day! Unfortunately, we got the call yesterday at work that my co-worker's (and wife) baby didn't make it. It's so hard to even know what to say to him as he's one of the best people I've met. I just hope we can try to take his mind off it somewhat when he comes back to work in the next few days. Other than that, nothing here to report. My brother just left this morning to go to a Wedding in California so I'm alone with Rollins for the rest of the week and weekend. Have a good Pines Day!

Merry Pines Day MMC ~
It’s going to be partly sunny today with highs near 53, we’re currently at 27 degrees. Not too much going on here, Rocky has a groomer appointment this morning. I feel like we were just there, can’t believe an entire month went by. Other than that I will be working on my daily chores. Dinner will be spaghetti & meatballs, cheesy garlic bread and a tossed salad. That’s about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a nice day. See you tonight!
xx

On no Edge, I’m so sorry to hear about the baby. Thoughts and prayers for your coworker and his wife.

Tough thing to face indeed. Years ago, one of the fellow workers in my office lost a baby to SIDS. Takes time to recover. It's a slow and difficult process.

Good Morning, Mid-Weekers.
(Wow! We cycle back to the various days so quickly. It's already Pines Day again!)

The numbers and Milestones keep cycling dependably by as well.
Let's take a look at the most recently available data:
Days to the Season: 216
Days to Christmas Day: 258

The pending Milestone markers?
First to arrive will be the 1/3 Christmas Day point, coming our way on April 26, just 15 days from now. TWO WEEKS from tomorrow!
Second, the very next day, the 200-Day Season Window.
Dual markers closing in on us at a rapid pace!

Still cool, and it will be so again today before a rapid warm-up begins tomorrow, with our highs predicted to move on into the 80's.
Straight from winter to summer. That happens frequently around here. We have a short spring, generally.
Our current temperature reading is 44 degrees here in the capital city.

Well, mid-week means open house evening at the Shispering Pines, with the ever-attentive Carl the Camel in charge of entertaiment and refreshments. I have heard with spring flowers in full bloom, that our inn of choice is appropriately decorated with them to the hilt.
What do you think? Will Carl be serving mint juleps (or some facsimile blend)?

While you contemplate that (and contemplate whether or not you will come) be certain to have a Wonderful Wednesday, Folks!

My coworker/friend let me know today he won't be in cause his wife is in the hospital...she's pregnant and the baby is in jeopardy. Just sad...I don't know what to say to him. And it amazes me how often this type of thing actually happens.
Saying a prayer for the little one!!!

Sorry to hear that. So very very sad. As someone who is no stranger to this kind of loss, I would just say to let your friend know you’re there for him. There’s nothing you can say. But by all means and with all respect, don’t try to take his mind off of it. In fact, let him know that you’re there to talk if he wants or needs to discuss it. Even if he chooses not to take you up on it, your caring and sensitive attitude will mean so much to him as he and his family walks through this difficult time.

Still praying.....

Good afternoon!

Busy week of state testing at the high school. Tomorrow my students take the American History and Government exams. Biggest waste of time in education! Oh well... it is what it is. I will just be glad when tomorrow is done and I can get back to teaching.

I think Ohio might finally get Spring! No more snow in the forecast, at least for the next 10 days. 75 on Friday, but then back into the 40s and 50s.
Hopefully the weekend will be nice! Looks like lots of wind, but warmer! And then as I mentioned - 36º for the high by Monday with a chance of snow. It's time to start warming up!!!
Hope the testing goes well today!
Have a great day!!!

Already seeing posts that applications are being taken for vendors for a local Christmas fair. Just another sign that Christmas is always on its way!!!
:D

If he's in a "flowery" mood, he may be serving mimosas. Or orange blossoms.

Dinner sounds good again. Enjoy! Have a great day!
