Good Thursday morning, Christmas friends!

I'm running around here at work, trying to get things done so I can feel good about being out of the office all next week. I'll be attending a trade show in Denver, which will be fun, but it's hard to get enough ahead. And the guy I work with most closely is out of the office today and tomorrow in Birmingham, so I have to do some things he usually does, too. Whew!

Anyway, it's still Nancy's tax season for a few more days, and prom is this weekend, so my house is crazy, too.

Good Thursday morning! This week seems to be dragging on. It doesn't help that I've done some work from home and gone in early/stayed late a couple of times. It feels like I'm running after time at work, it's tiring. It looks like grey skies and rain or snow over the next 5 days. This weather is probably not helping my mood any. Time to snap out of this and do some exercise and try to get energized and ready for another work day. Have a great one everyone!

Not too much going on here today, I woke up with a headache so I’m moving kind of slow. I’m just having my coffee and playing with Rocky right now. I’m going to make a Target run later with my oldest to do some more shopping for her apartment. Other than that I will be working on the laundry. Dinner will be a mozzarella stuffed meatloaf, mashed potatoes and green beans. That’s about it for me. I hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Yes, that is correct, it's NATIONAL LICORICE DAY!!
National Licorice Day is observed each year on April 12, so they tell me.

I've heard that, when you make a grilled cheese sandwich, if you spread mayo on the outside of your sandwich instead of butter, it browns beautifully (and doesn't taste like mayo, BTW). Someday I'm going to try that.

That's how I make mine. It doesn't taste like mayo (and definitely use mayo and not salad dressing!) and it is far less messy to make as it is a lot easier to spread. Plus, I use far less mayo than I do butter. It is good for tuna melts, too.

Got everything done at the store early so I am home enjoying the warm day. I had to open a window in the house and get some fresh air!! The wind is roaring through the trees ~ I'm glad it isn't snowing out!

Stocked up on cat food as there is a winter storm watch out for my area for Saturday morning into Sunday. At the moment it is looking like there could be ice involved. Hopefully, the forecast will change for the better.

Hope your headache goes away quick!! Mozzarella stuffed meatloaf??? Yum! you remind me I have a recipe for grilled stuffed meatloaf I haven't made for a long time! It's stuffed with sautéed onions & mushrooms. I bet some mozzarella in there would be "da bomb!" Sounds like an experiment for when the weather gets nice!

Thank you both! I’ll definitely be giving her a collection of my recipes. I’m also going to send out recipe cards along with her bridal shower invitations. I thought it would be special to recieve recipes from family & friends as well!

Happy Friday the 13th! It's warming up here until Saturday night when the temp crashes from 75 Saturday to 45 on Sunday. Ouch. But at least we have 2 nice warm days for once in a row with even partial sunshine. And I am off Monday so a 3 day weekend. Sunday going to my Uncle's. Saturday a hike with my friend and a rainy Monday? Probably just go to the mall to look around and relax. What's your plans this weekend? Have a great Friday the 13th!

It’s going to be partly cloudy today and warmer, highs near 64 degrees. I need to do some food shopping this morning. I’m also going to take a ride to the jeweler with my middle one. She’s picking up a gift for her BF, he’s graduating from the police academy next week. Other than that I will be working on my daily chores. Dinner will be marinated flank steak with roasted potatoes and sautéed spinach. That’s about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!

TGIF, Christmas friends!

Today's my last day in the office until April 23, and I'm trying to make sure I'm caught up. The closer my Denver trip gets, the more anxious I become. I hate being away from my family for five days, but when the boss recommends you for the trip, you can't really refuse. Plus, I'd like to see the Rockies.

When I get back on the 23rd, that will be the new boss's first day. We're supposed to finally clean out Russell's office this afternoon, and take all of his personal effects to his wife. We should have done it by now, but no one had the nerve to start packing up his things.

I hope the new guy is a good manager. I've had a few bad ones in my time here.

I'm working until noon today, then I go stay with Mama until my sister arrives. Then we're having Funday Friday on the neighbors patio, THEN we'll head out to the lake! After that, I don't think we have many plans!
