It’s going to be another nice day, sun and clouds with highs near 74 degrees. Typical day of errands and chores for me. Rocky also has a vet appointment this morning, he’s due for a booster shot. Not too much else going on. I hope everyone is well and has a beautiful day!

A week of loss here for me:
Lost a coworker suddenly yesterday and today my husband’s good friend passed as well. Thankful for you all and the cheer you bring each day when I’m here. It helps to remind me of what’s important and to remember there is joy.

And just like that, we are once again over the hump and on the downhill slope to the weekend.

Now. Can you believe.
We are almost down to SINGLE DIGITS to the HALF way marker to Christmas Season 2018. It's only 12 miles down the road, now.
Then, we move into the second half of our journey.
(Amazing. Simply amazing!)

Our weather is amazing, too. Quite warm for this early in May. We reached 85 for the afternoon high yesterday, with today's predicted figure being 87 and tomorrow, 89.
(Getting a bit carried away there, Mother nature, aren't we?)
Today has commenced here in central North Carolina at 64 degrees.

Happy Friday Eve!! Looks like another nice day in store for today but as Edge mentioned more spring like temps for the weekend. Typical day of work for me and I am making pork chops for dinner. Hope you all have a great day!

Good rainy Thursday morning MMC!!! It was calm outside, I heard a rumble of thunder now Holy Hanna - suddenly we have torrential rain!!! Doesn't look like it will last long but we are supposed to have rain most of the day - last I looked!

We have a stray dog running at the farm! Last evening I walk into the sunroom & see 3 neighbors running through our back yard. I go out & here the neighbors dog was on the loose. We caught her, no problem. But while I was outside I missed a call from my hubby. There was a stray dog at the farm - no collar. He wanted me to bring dog food. So me & Lu headed to the farm. Couldn't find the dog back. BUT this morning on his way to work my hubby saw the dog, it was just finishing the bowl of food we left for it. But he took off into the field. We'll keep feeding it & hopefully eventually win it over. I posted on FB. If we don't find the owner & IF we can catch it, I think we already have a home for him/her! We are pretty sure someone probably dumped it at the farm. So cruel!

We had to turn our AC on last night. We had all the windows open, the attic fan on & it was still 77º in our house at 10pm. AND hubby's allergies were awful. So AC is probably on for the season!! Ready or not!

Morning MMC. From winter to summer we went pretty fast. It got in to the high 80s yesterday. It wasn't humid though so it didn't feel crazy hot yet but still a warm night sleeping last night. Another day with temps in the 80s and a little more humid. Looks like by the weekend back to normal temps into next week. Anyone see the weekend from here? Have a great day!

As I mentioned the AC is on at home....BUT it's also on here at work now & it's F-F-F-Freezing!!! I'm ready to turn on my little heater!!!!

Good Morning, Everyone! It's been a long time since I stopped by. Thought I'd say, "Hi!"
Two weeks ago we were buried under snow and I had to shovel the driveway. Two days ago it got so hot and humid we almost, ALMOST, turned on the AC. Much needed storms came through last night and the temperature is about normal. But everything looks yucky outside.
I got a bit antsy at the end of February and decided to plant seedlings for my veggie garden early. It always feels like my garden is slacking behind everyone else's. I planted my seedlings and now they are monsters! And I can't plant them outdoors for another 3-4 weeks!
I learned that my seedlings fall behind everyone else's because I don't do a good enough job hardening off the plants before adding them to the garden. I will NOT plant seedlings so early next year, unless I have a greenhouse to put them in. Lesson learned.

I am off to work for a while. Then, it's beef stew and mashed potatoes for dinner.
I am looking forward to all of the great seasons, milestones, and holidays coming up! Have a great day, All!

Your plants look really healthy!! I have the opposite problem. I waited too long to plant my tomatoes. My Peppers are looking really good, (planted them earlier than the tomatoes) but my tomatoes are still babies!!! Hope your garden does well!! xx

Yes, our upstairs was really warm too. We ended up not only turning on our central air, but also the extra AC in our bedroom upstairs! Whew!
If you figure out what is wrong with (some) people, let me know! I too hope we can catch the pup! I thought maybe bringing Lucy would make him/her come out, but no sign of it last night. We walked all over the farm! It's been raining so hard, I hope it found shelter. If it's still at the farm, that shouldn't be a problem! xx

It was barely in the 60s a few days ago and we are pushing 90s today and tomorrow only for a cold front and storms to roll through this weekend and drop the temps back down to the low 60s.
