Good Wednesday morning! This is turning out to be the nicest day this week, a real Summer-like day. I've been running around all morning, first to my last physiotherapy session (arm doing much better), then grocery shopping and now I'm home doing laundry to hang outside and cooking eggs and chicken to make about 100 sandwiches tomorrow for an event at work on Friday. Hope everyone is well and having a good week thus far.

Also, Jim's wife came home last night! She's had enough physical therapy to learn how to move from the bed to the chair, to the car, etc. She won't be able to stand for several months, but at least she's out of the hospital now!

Cracks me up how much she likes Lucy. She loved Gracie too. She was smaller when we had Gracie & Grace would knock her down & I'm thinking "Oh no, here comes the tears!" Nope, she just giggled & went back for more. Too cute!

Kids and dogs can be so cute. Loki gets stressed around kids, he was never really exposed to them during his socializing phase so he doesn’t know what to make of them. His tail wags but he growls at the same time. He’s played with our friends’ kids though but it takes him a while to trust/understand who they are and that they want to play.

Yes they can be! Some kids are afraid of Lucy though too b/c she gets SO excited at greeting time. Just depends on the kid...and the dog!

Good Wednesday morning, Christmas friends!

Getting ready for our daily staff meeting, so I'll be brief.

Nancy and I started our car-shopping journey of endurance yesterday. We have four drivers in the house that go in different directions, but only three vehicles...and I'm the only one who wants to drive my truck. I'm not looking forward to this long, arduous march to financial servitude.

We get ants every year in the spring for a few months. It doesn’t matter how much I spray or how much ant bait I put out, they always come back.

At one my previous homes, I had them that way too, couldn't get rid of them. I’ll tell ya, it got to the point, to where it was like I was going outside to do battle with them every weekend.

I'd stalk the perimeter of my house and if I saw one crawing, I would follow the little bugger, back to it's nest and there, is were I would set up the Terro baits. That stuff worked great!
But, I must admit, every year, it was the same ole routine; them vs me...

I locked a few days off into place, in late July, for my father - in -law's annual family reunion. A side benefit will be the opportunity to see my mother, on the way out of town, for the first time in nearly 16 years(Yes, we stay in touch). It will be the first time she will get to see her three great grandchildren, also.
