Evening everyone. I've been absent from the form for a while. Unfortunately my mother was in hospital for a while and in truth things have been a bit hectic. Thankfully she's on the mend now and I'm looking forward to getting back to some catching up. I hope everyone is doing well!

Merry Pines Day!
It’s going to be cloudy today with periods of rain, highs near 63 degrees. Not too much going on here, I just need to take a ride to the pet store & Rite Aid. Other than that I will be working on my daily chores. Dinner will be raviolis & meatballs. That’s about it. I hope everyone is well. Have a great day!

Wow.
We have just entered the SECOND half of our Season count.
The year is getting away from us. I'm afraid to look the chart to see what the the next marker is. The thought scares me!
But it's my job, so I will.
(After the daily count, that is.)

Days to the Season: 181
Days to Christmas Day: 223

OK. Let's hold our breath and look at the Countdown chart.
Oh, Oh! Our next Milestone. It's another Window.
The 200-Day Christmas Day window, to be exact.
And you will note it's only 23 days away. Three weeks from the day after tomorrow.
(Sweet Jesus, save me!)

Cooler yesterday, and we "only" reached 88 for the high, and with somewhat lower humidity. (Beats Monday's 93, with high humidity!)
We are in for a rainy period for the remainder of this week, and it's cloudy as I type this.
Our current temp reading? 72 degrees.

Believe it our not, we have once again cycled back to mid-week 'Pine Day.
And in light of passing the half way Season point, Carl has marked down the fired twinkies and select other merchandise (including camel ornaments) by 50 percent. Perhaps we can pick up some bargains!
Regardless, I hope to see many of you there this evening.

Good morning MMC! Merry Pines Day!!
Not much going on today besides work. It's cloudy - supposed to be cloudy all day! Makes me want to take a nap!!
I got home from work yesterday, ready to plant flowers, opened up my new bag of potting soil & the sky's opened up! It POURED!! I did get a dwarf lemon tree planted in a pot & 1 other pot planted & I had to call it quits. At least all my flats sitting outside got watered!

Happy Hump and Pines Day!! We had a terrible storm last night and lost power until 1am so not too terrible. A tree fell on a power line at the end of my road. And then last night after my husband got the generator going water started pouring out of water tank, the plumber came this morning and we need a whole new tank...ugh always something! Just work for me today...hope you all have a great day!

Good Tuesday morning, Christmas friends!

I was pretty busy yesterday, and didn't get a chance to post. It's been a super busy week again.

Saturday, Elizabeth auditioned for the part of Ariel in the Arts Center's production of The Little Mermaid. With her long, red hair and beautiful voice (I know she's mine, but she's still really awesome ), along with her acting experience at school, we were convinced she would be a shoo-in. Then some of the other singing and dancing redheads who wanted the part started showing up at the audition, and Elizabeth grew more concerned.

They called last night to offer Elizabeth the part! Her answer? "Yes! Yes! A thousand times YES!" LOL She is so happy, and we're so proud of her.

Jacob is still true-loving with his new girlfriend, too, so right now our kids are happy. And that's all Nancy and I need to be happy, too.

Thank you much! I am overall, but I gotta to tell you, for this is so weird. I've never had a reaction to anything like this, ever. I've been battling the headache, 5 Advil, 2 ibuprofen and 1 Excedrin. I'm knocking it down. But get this, I awoke this morning to my face and lips; numb and tingling! Crazy!!!! I again checked into it (after giving myself a stroke test) and there it was, it was another symptom of having a reaction to MSG's! This is nuts.

I decided to stay home again, for I am just not feeling like myself still, my brain feels like I've been out in the barn smoking some of mother's natures herbs... I'm going to just relax and take it easy today.

Conclusion - no more Chinese food; ever and stay away from foods that have MSG's in it. I checked with my siblings, and my sister has the same issue, it gives her a terrible headache, so she stays away from it.

A deceased Don Pablo's, and a recently dormant Perkin's, are being gutted out for their new purpose, but there are no signs outside letting us in on what the new adventures will be. While this isn't as exciting as working towards Christmas Eve, it is fun to speculate on what will fit in the different shaped/sized buildings, going forward.

I usually get impatient and hop online to see who pulled the building permits.

Merry Milestone day everyone! surely it can't be so?! An exciting day for us all here.Half way to the season wow how has that happened already, I thought counting down to something was supposed to make time go slower? Will have to make myself a hot chocolate to celebrate.

Wow, we just had a nasty line of thunderstorms, that came over top of us. The wind was howling out there, 2 nice size tree limbs broke out of one of the trees out front and just missed my truck.
That line has pushed thru and it’s out over the sound, but it’s still storming out there pretty good.

This is our first one of the year.

We had a storm roll through late afternoon. Lucy was so confused. She was standing out in the garage watching it pour & listening to the thunder - wondering what was going on!! LOL! She hasn't seen too many of them in her time here on earth!

Morning MMC. Happy Middle Day of May Pines Day Style. We had some bad thunderstorms yesterday evening so I couldn't take Rollins out to the park. It's the 1st time we didn't go in the last 2 months. I try to get him there every day no matter what but with the lightening and wind we had to stay home. Just another day at work...and a cooler day. Hope you enjoy your Pines Day!
