Happy Tuesday!! Looks like we have a cloudy day in store for us and some showers this afternoon. Just a typical day of work for me and I am going to do some laundry tonight. Tonight I am making Holiday's Mexican Pizza for dinner. Hope you all have a great day!

Morning MMC! Last night I did something that I hadn't done in 5 years. I fell asleep with my contacts in my eyes all night. Sure I've fell asleep on the couch for 10 minutes with them in before but not actually went to bed and forgot to take them out and slept 7 hours. I got up and they were all dried up but came right out of my eyes and fortunately my eyes don't seem to be red or bothering me at all. I know you can get an infection or worse from doing that. Hope you all have a great Tuesday!

Good Morning, Friendly Residents of the Friendliest site on the internet.
And as the site of Christmas year round, how can it help but be friendly?

Naturally. one of the things that helps put us in a friendly mood is the ever-declining nature of our daily count.
And sure enough, today's numbers have declined from yesterday's!

Days to the Season: 175
Days to Christmas Day: 217

The distance between us and our next Milestone marker keeps declining on a daily basis as well.
The marker in question is the 200-day Christmas Day Window and the distance away has now dwindled down to a bare 17 days. UNDER 2 1/2 weeks, now.
(Won't be too long now before we are talking single digits again!)

Wow. The rain really came down yesterday evening. My beloved Crabtree Valley Mall was evacuated because of a flood threat. (That has happened many times before, of course.)
Today should see less of a precipitation threat, but it's still there.
We have opened things at 69 degrees here in Wake County and it's rather overcast.

Nice..... Do you have your own smoker? And how much better does things actually taste and cook in a smoker vs on a grill?

I was surprised at how delicious a pork roast or a beef brisket from the smoker was. It really is worth the extra time it takes to cook.

The secret is to marinate the meat in water with kosher salt overnight in the fridge. Rinse it the before applying the rub, and allow it to warm to room temp.

Makes it super juicy!

My smoker is like this one.

Good Tuesday morning, Christmas friends!

My week is closing fast! We're shutting down Thursday at lunch to have a big BBQ dinner for the guys, and we're closed Friday and Monday for Memorial Day. Woo hoo!

I went home yesterday with plans to put the finishing touches on my pool cleaning, only to find my niece and her two boys in the pool LOL. Her youngest's teeth were chattering (it was only 85°F outside), but he refused to get out. Tough guy!

PTL, today is the last day of 7th grade for DD! We pick up her grade card tomorrow morning. I love having two months with no homework or 9:00 p.m. bedtimes!

Very busy month coming up for us and June will be half over before we come up for air!

This week: Camping from Friday through Memorial Day, with DH's birthday on Sunday

Next Week: DD's sleepover on Friday and her birthday on Saturday

Third Week: VBS, Journey/Def Lepard Concert, Leaving for Disney World that Friday

Fourth Week: Disney all week, and coming home on Friday

Fifth Week: Father's Day & my birthday

Somehow we managed to get all three of our birthdays within 23 days of each other! I'm tired and we haven't even started yet.

Good morning MMC! Merry Tuesday!! So far it's a beautiful morning but storms are supposed to move in for the afternoon. Then it appears we should have a nice evening. USUALLY they are wrong though & the storms come through later than predicted so when I get off work, it will probably start. HA!!

Not much going on today besides work. My aunts obit finally came out last night so I'll be off work Thursday for a funeral. UGH! I'd rather be at work!

I did start watching (listening too) A Christmas Prince yesterday so I'll probably turn that back on in the background later this morning! Makes working more enjoyable!
