Hi everyone! Hope you all are enjoying your Friday! It has been overcast here all day, but warm. We had a very brief rain shower..but I am hoping for more! No big plans this weekend. I'd like to get out of the house a little bit, but we will see what my husband feels like doing. I have cube steaks with onion gravy slowly cooking in the oven, which we will serve over rice. The house smells amazing! I did promise my brother I would bring him a plate of it tonight (if there is any left!) so that is my big fun Friday evening!

TGIF, Christmas friends!
It's good to be home! Of course, I have to spend a week in Orlando at the end of June, but the following week is all mountains with my family, baby!
My brother went to the emergency room yesterday, after what he thought might have been a "pin stroke". They told him they found no evidence of a previous stroke, or threat of a future one, which is nice to hear, but they don't have a good explanation for his symptoms (which were short-lived, like 30 seconds, but frightening). He has a lot on his plate with a VERY young child, and a wife newly wheelchair-bound, so they say stress combined with exhaustion may be the culprit. I hope that's all it is.
Anyway, he says he feels better, and he promises to try to rest more.

My friend/neighbor is supposed to be there early today so we can hang out!Lucy was acting all bummed this morning but when I told her she gets to go see Maggie today ~ her little head perked right up!

Tomorrow we are having breakfast with the neighbors & then doing a bicycle poker run at the lake - weather permitting! Looking forward to that. It's always a good time!

Fun fact: the mall where the new store will be and where we are currently holding the job fair has a pet groomer. So a few times so far we’ve seen dogs walk by our area. Just love dogs.

I'm glad your brother did not have a stoke. However, he's gotta watch that stress and anxiety, they can both tear you up and wear you down; I know!
All man, that really stinks. I hope and pray that she can completely get rid of it. The doctor last night informed me that it's not just Lyme you have to worry about, but also a bunch of other nasty stuff that are really scary. I went to the CDC website and checked it out and awww brother, he sure was not kidding.
Well, taking 15,000mg of antibiotics, I'm hoping it will prevent me from getting sick.

Hello, Xmastidings! I occasionally have stopped in, but just really don’t post much. I’ve been really focused on my kids, my hubby, and work. I watch my 6 month old niece a couple of days a week too, so I keep busy. We ran in to some scary issues with my son about a year ago too, which for a while, kept me just focused on him. We’re still dealing with the issue, but everything continues to check out ok and his check ups go well. I thank God everyday for that.

It’s going to be cloudy today with temperatures in the upper 70’s. I’m heading out soon to do some food shopping. Back home afterward to work on the laundry. Not too much else going on. I’m making pulled pork sandwiches for dinner, I need to get that started in the slow cooker as soon as I finish my cup of coffee!
