Christmas Countdown - 2018

What day is it? I’ve been so busy with trying to get settled in at our new home with unpacking, organizing, cleaning and moving this here, moving that there and trying to keep my sanity.

I installed three air conditioners today. 2 of them were the biggest that we could find. My goodness were they extremely big and heavy. I carried them from the truck to the third floor mostly by myself, and oh yea, feeling it now.

Last night it was almost 80 degrees upstairs here, when I went to bed. Of course, I didn’t sleep worth anything last night, and I woke up feeling exhausted.
After I got the ac unit installed up here, it’s currently 68 degrees in my bedroom, which I just love. For me, it could even be colder.

I found my way to the recycling/ trash drop-off place, and got rid of a truck load of stuff. On the way back to the house, we passed a little girl selling lemonade from a stand on her lawn, so Jill and I turned the truck around and we went back there and bought a couple of cups from her. She was selling the cups for 50 cents apiece, we gave her 3 dollars.

Man, I’m so tired. I’ve been going at it nonstop for days and it’s really catching up to me now. Tomorrow, got contractors coming over to put new carpeting in on the 3rd floor. I got locks and hardware to change. Put a new grill together that we bought from Lowe’s last night.

Good morning! I’m beginning to think I’m having my case of insomnia with working night shift or I just have my sleep all screwed up. Currently just drinking a cup of coffee, watching HMM, and reading.

We have our niece again today, so not much will be going on. It just entirely to warm to take her outside. I go back to work at 7 tonight.

Morning MMC! Worked 11.5 hours yesterday. What a day and today might be the same. This was not how I planned my laid-back summer to be going but next week things should start to calm down. Just had to get through this first cycle without my coworker. Anyone got plans for the 4th? Have a great day!

It’s going to be another hazy, hot and humid day. I feel like I might be coming down with something but I’m hoping it’s just allergies. I have to do some food shopping today and I need to stop at the butcher as well. I’m going to prep a couple of things for our barbecue tomorrow. Other than that I have to do some light cleaning and I’ll be working on the laundry. That’s about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!

Good morning friends. I’m home another day, and today, we have contractors coming this morning to install new carpeting on the upper level of the house. Presently, the carpeting is a shale like gray, which darkens the whole upper level, so we are having a lighter color of carpeting put in to help brighten up the floor.

Plus, I have tons of things to do also, this week, having these few days off, is a huge help to us. I got ac in the house now, and last night, I got the first good night rest since we have been here.

I hoping to get our new grill put together so we can try it out by tomorrow too!

Well, off to get my sleeping beauty up, I’ll wake her with a kiss!

Wow you have been busy! Hope you get some time to rest. So glad you got AC..this heat has been brutal!

Oh gosh yes, the other night, it was almost 80 degrees upstairs in our bedroom. I was dying. I could not sleep hardly all night long being too hot. I got those units installed, (and they are big boys too) and last night, it was 68 degrees. I slept like a baby.

I’m whipped! Feeling like I’m just drained as a whole, right now. I think I need to give myself a couple of days to just recharge my battery somewhat. It’s just been Jill and I and that’s it, so, it’s a lot of work, but it must get done.

Here we are, barely unpacked and Jill’s sister (lives in Washington DC) called and is coming to visit this weekend with her 2 boys. She’s very proper, and with her knowing that we just moved in, and asking to come stay the weekend at our place, it seems very odd and out of character for her.
We are wondering if she’s having issues with her other and needs to get away for a few days. Either way, Jill only sees her like twice a year, so, we didn’t say no.
Nothing like a little excitement in your life every now or then just to spice it up a bit.

Good afternoon ... another brutal hot day ... YUCK.... I am really dreaming about the fall weather now. Started seeing back to school supplies popping up in the seasonal sections of the grocery store. Won't be long before we start seeing fall items popping up Stay Cool!
